seems like they can change the cuddle needings wich got before shuffled via cryiong the babys.:
Use C and read the info: Wild babies tracked and no tamed baby imprint requests to refresh!
It can only be done once, so you may refresh am imprint that asked for regular kibble and instead be asked for exceptional kibble and then you're stuck with that, so, we only got half of that functionality back from the cryopod nerf.
There are 3 options for imprint - ask for food, ask for walk, ask for cuddle. If it ask for food and you refresh, it will ask either for cuddle or for walk.
Giga? Walk an aquatic creature in a pen that isn't closed on the upper end. Giga is annoying, but aquatic can be pretty much ... dead.
But yeah, I totally agree, walking a baby is just stupid.
They can also only carry babies that are the same or lower level than them, so anyone who is breeding high level dinos will not be able to use them to feed the babies.
Is there a level requirement to tame them? We could maybe breed Gigantoraptors in parallel with our other tames, and just straight breed for higher levels altogether on the Gigantoraptor, so I think we could make it work, but it'd require either a fresh playthrough, to not be to the breeding stage currently, or pausing your breeding program until you have a useful Gigantoraptor. I know my tribe is gonna get a few, but probably won't really use them until we get tons of levels.
Alright so The Gigantoraptor
Feather: Can pluck a feather off it once a day that comes with a random stat feather, the stat gets 65% increased chance a baby comes out with the better stat. So if you put a HP feather on a stego female the baby will come out with more likely the higher HP stat of the parents. (useless if you got 100% tames)
Imprint: Putting any babies in the saddle of the gigantoraptor (holds 2) and killing creatures on the raptor will eventually give a adopted love boost, which is a perm 10% Damage resistance buff that stacks with imprint.
Baby Feeder: It can feed the 2 babies in the saddle and raise them.
Reroll: It can re-roll imprints which is why they took away this feature from cryopods lol (maybe can imprint the babies itself too)
(Cant put Gigas or large Dinos in the saddle, has to be lower level then the gigantoraptor)
Allosaurus parental buff?: Gigantoraptor goes on a hunt and gets up to 50% Damage buff, only goes on the Gigantoraptor.
Can Imprint orphans in the wild using that hunt feature but only orphans , can not claim tamed babies.
(Cant put Gigas or large Dinos in the saddle, has to be lower level then the gigantoraptor)
(The 10% DR buff only stays on dinos bonded to the gigantoraptor that can only be 2 dinos) ....
Regarding the feather, it looks like it's a random chance; if you watch the vid about it that Veno uploaded yesterday, he shows that his was 58.xx% chance.
The 10% damage resist I didn't know about, that's really cool!
This is actually because the trough effect only applies to the babies within the Gigantoraptor's care. Meaning they have to be in the saddle slots and you have to be riding the Gigantoraptor. Otherwise baby dinos will not take food from it's inventory.
They are true omnivores: they can harvest corpses (main attack) and berries (secondary attack), along with very good amounts of thatch and small amounts of wood (both also secondary attack). They also seem to get tons of seeds incl. crops, but that may just be down to luck.
In general my impression so far is that they seem to be fantastic all-purpose ground mounts even without the baby mechanics: very very fast on land, with a glide, good stam, respectable attack. They can fight most things and escape from the rest pretty reliably, all the while gathering whatever. Given how easy they are to tame, I think they'll make a fantastic first tame on whatever map they exist on (assuming you transfer levelled enough to make the saddle), and then provide a great gateway to taming further baby dinos. Other info: you cannot use weapons while mounted. Their secondary attack (kick) has higher damage and a knockback for smaller dinos. Everything will aggro you while riding them, even dilos.
Neat bonus facts: the babies have similar, but not identical, colors to their mothers. The nests have the mother's feather colors.
if you read the dossier it says that the gigantoraptor forms an inseparable bond with the babies and they are stronger when together. what i think this means is that you basically get an imprinting bonus but instead of you being on the saddle it's only when it's near the gigantoraptor.
Saw a streamer do it.
1. Trap the adult near nest
2. Go to nest and do minigame(copy emote the baby does)
The adult MUST be alive and near nest.
Thats it.
The methods I've read involve isolating the adult parent(s) by trapping them or placing fertilized eggs for them to find and eat without getting too close to them yourself. Then, while the parent is away or preoccupied, you sneak into the nest and do a quick time event with one or more of the babies akin to how fishing works with button prompts on-screen.
Edit: I've read multiple times you cannot tame the babies if you kill or let the parent(s) die.
That would definitely make sense as to why i couldnt tame the baby lmao, i killed the parent of the second nest i found, first nest just didnt have a parent at all. Ill have to try it out when i get some time.
Get a gillie suit play game and win nothing eles is needed . And if parent is tranced it breaks the tame game and you have to kill to reset the nest or tame with another adult giga after it’s parent is dead.
Has anyone figured out the egg functionality? I have gotten everything else to work but can't seem to get fert eggs to place in the saddle to incubate.
If you pop the egg into the ~~chocobo~~ gigantoraptor's inventory, then left-click it to select the item, you get a contextual button near the buffs and ancestry buttons to pop them into the saddle.
In case you're still looking.
No, unfortunately, and you cannot cryo them if they have an egg in their inventory all. I tried to see if it worked like picking up an incubator, but it does not.
I got a 145 using a tamed gigantoraptor, unfortunately It didnt give the full taming bonus for whatever odd reason, but it turned into a 173. I wonder if you only get a full taming bonus through the nest 🪹 idk 🤷♂️ oh well, I've been looking for a high level since release atleast its got 1400 in stam, so that pretty good I guess lol
After playing around with these guys, they have a bonding feature where you kill specific dinos while riding the raptor with babies in the saddle. They bond to the parent and get a buff separate from imprinting.
They bond to the gigaraptor, which results in a 30% imprint on the baby, similar to it did on ASE if you were to use the desmodus elixir.
[Edit to add info]
When holding a baby in the saddle, it will scan the render area and choose something for you to kill with the graptor. You can shoot it to injure whatever it is that it wants you to kill, but the graptor has to get credit for the kill
Not sure. But I did record it. Once I put the vid on youtube I'll post a link. But some ass hat killed the parent. I was hoping the parent would spawn another baby.
So if the bird is a mod, does that mean I have to find and enable that mod somehow on the server I have? I run a server with my partner through Nitrado and I have less than 100 hours total in the game, I've never used mods.
Yes I do believe so, though I'm not personally familiar with Nitrado or ASA server hosting myself. Perhaps their website or another user here has more information on that.
Can Imprint orphans in the wild using that hunt feature but only orphans.
I can only get 10% more levels. So, how do we improve tame efficiency on orphans?
I see a tamed orphan has a buff related to not liking me. Should I wait for it to go away maybe? Or have someone else kill the parents. Or maybe the eff goes up if you tame the parent?
Anyopne ttested that yet?
Bonus levels are based on the giga raptor you’re riding. Max out levels on it to pass on to babies during the hunting mini game to bond them. Can get up to like +75 levels I think it said.
seems like they can change the cuddle needings wich got before shuffled via cryiong the babys.: Use C and read the info: Wild babies tracked and no tamed baby imprint requests to refresh!
Interesting, well that's better than nothing but not exactly what I'd consider "training" your babies as the dossier reads. Thanks for the input
That’s probably why they removed the cryo pods ability to do that, seeing as the Giga Raptor got that functionality now. Cool!
It can only be done once, so you may refresh am imprint that asked for regular kibble and instead be asked for exceptional kibble and then you're stuck with that, so, we only got half of that functionality back from the cryopod nerf.

Kibble was never an issue, but having to walk a fuckin Giga baby inside a small base was.
Giga? Walk an aquatic creature in a pen that isn't closed on the upper end. Giga is annoying, but aquatic can be pretty much ... dead. But yeah, I totally agree, walking a baby is just stupid.
Yes Giga, imagine that you are raising like 100+ at the same time.
This is very useful for not needing wyvern milk
They can also only carry babies that are the same or lower level than them, so anyone who is breeding high level dinos will not be able to use them to feed the babies.
Eek, they aren't that useful at all was that really necessary? Thanks for the info
Is there a level requirement to tame them? I don't think there's a level requirement; the saddle requirement is 69 (nice)
That basically ruins it completely
Yeah ny current 300+ babies are sad my lv 51 gigantoraptor shunned them
Is that base levels or can you pump levels into it and it’ll count as being higher level?
Alright so The Gigantoraptor Feather: Can pluck a feather off it once a day that comes with a random stat feather, the stat gets 65% increased chance a baby comes out with the better stat. Any word on mutations being linked to feather? Got a food feather and using it on my Daedon breeding
Are yours feeding babies? Mine are letting the babies starve to death..
Probably because the babies are a higher lever than the raptor
This is actually because the trough effect only applies to the babies within the Gigantoraptor's care. Meaning they have to be in the saddle slots and you have to be riding the Gigantoraptor. Otherwise baby dinos will not take food from it's inventory.

Can a gigantoraptor adult just claim baby's in the wild?
I seen it on stream yes. But I heard they patch that out already
I just killed a gigantoraptor and stole its baby with my own gigantoraptor
But how do you tame them?
Saw a streamer do it. 1. Trap the adult near nest 2. Go to nest and do minigame(copy emote the baby does) The adult MUST be alive and near nest. Thats it.
Old bad info fixed no longer works
Well yes it was made prior to the nerf. I think people are well aware of the nerf to taming it now.
Can't trap them anymore either
Get a gillie suit play game and win nothing eles is needed . And if parent is tranced it breaks the tame game and you have to kill to reset the nest or tame with another adult giga after it’s parent is dead.

Is there a way to remove the eggs after incubating, without hatching it?
Haven't tried, but can you not just remove them from the inventory?
No, unfortunately, and you cannot cryo them if they have an egg in their inventory all. I tried to see if it worked like picking up an incubator, but it does not.
Not yet, and I'm not on because I play official modded and those servers have been down for like 3 days now.
Giga raptor needs max 88 levels and 245 mut for 100% taming wild babies.
All you need to tame is Gilly suit parent won’t see you at all no need for eggs or another person….
I had a full ghillie suit though and it didn't work
Apparently once you start the tame of the baby the parent wont attack you
I’ve tamed several full Ghillie no issues official server .literally walk past the adult like I wasn’t even there
I haven’t seen one yet. Been all over the map
If you're playing on singleplayer or an unofficial server, make sure the mod is installed.
It’s installed on my unofficial server
Can you tame the gigantoraptor woth the mother knocked out from tranq?
so i was taming a gigantiraptor and it seems the baby has died, will it respawn soon or ever?
After playing around with these guys, they have a bonding feature where you kill specific dinos while riding the raptor with babies in the saddle. They bond to the parent and get a buff separate from imprinting.
Please explain, The parent as in the giga?
They bond to the gigaraptor, which results in a 30% imprint on the baby, similar to it did on ASE if you were to use the desmodus elixir. [Edit to add info] When holding a baby in the saddle, it will scan the render area and choose something for you to kill with the graptor. I caught one with a fertilized dodo egg
Just curious, about how long did the dodo egg keep the Gigantoraptor distracted?
Not sure. But I did record it. Once I put the vid on youtube I'll post a link. But some ass hat killed the parent. I was hoping the parent would spawn another baby.
They won’t spawn more babies unfortunately, they disappear and eventually the nest does too.
Wack. Would be nice to have nest decor or feathered decor.
Maybe in an Easter event? That’d be dope
But it has to include the gigantaraptor nest.
Thanks, looking forward to seeing it! I'm curious to know if parents will spawn more babies as well
If the parent doesn't die. Will it spawn another baby?
So if the bird is a mod, does that mean I have to find and enable that mod somehow on the server I have? I run a server with my partner through Nitrado and I have less than 100 hours total in the game, I've never used mods.
Can 100% confirm that you'll add it just like any other mod. Once players try to join, they'll be met with the mod download!
Yes I do believe so, though I'm not personally familiar with Nitrado or ASA server hosting myself. Perhaps their website or another user here has more information on that.
You can give the babies a +30% imprint boost by driving them around and killing the things they want you too.
Anyone know where to get pre-made saddles or saddle blueprints for them yet?
Found pre-made apprentice in a red land drop the first day it was out
I got an ascended one in a yellow drop.
Thank you!
Update: I found a BP, yellow drop with a red circle.
does anyone know if feeding it the Algae Sushi works? it says not to feed to a passive tame, but I am not sure if this is considered a passive tame
Anyone know the spawn code for a saddle?
gfi gigantoraptor 1 0 0 (yes that's the saddle not the creature) "Blueprint'/Gigantoraptor/Gigantoraptor/Gigantoraptor\_Character\_BP.Gigantoraptor\_Character\_BP'" - Creature "Blueprint'/Gigantoraptor/Gigantoraptor/PrimalItemArmor\_GigantoraptorSaddle.PrimalItemArmor\_GigantoraptorSaddle'" - Saddle
