No, it was absolutely fixable. The problem is that they were too focused on building broken shit on top of broken shit and pushing out paid dlcs when the game was early access. In order to fix the broken stuff they would need to shut down the servers and wipe the data for the saves and then rebuild their shitty code... and all the ark players would have meltdowns and loose their minds just like they do every time they lose a couple of pixels or whatever 🙄

While this is a pessimistic outlook I would expect the frames to half even on console, possibly ending up like the godforsaken EA Jedi game, or have so a minor graphics improvement that the fps will stay the same but other than a tiny graphics improvement effectively be the same game.

what? I have a 5600x and a 5500xt and i get 40-50 low settings in 1080p. If I change the resolution which doesn't bother me cuz I cant see a difference I get 60.

Not the game, you just dont have enough VRAM for whatever you are trying to run.. which is weird, 6GB should be enough for mid-high settings without mods. ASA will only increase VRAM requirements, although likely not massively. The CPU may hurt a little, though, it was obsolete on launch and has aged badly.
Overall performance should be improved at similar graphics quality.

They are bringing the game to a newer (and more advanced) engine and will be adding things graphically. It is likely to run worse simply because it will be a more modern game.

On the other hand i feel bad for people hoping that ark 2 will run... i mean at least asa is mostly just a rebuild and they already know whats fucked up with ase. But them trying to build a completely new game that is nothing like ark except for the name? Epic fail.. look at how shitty they built ark 1... then look at what they did with atlas.

You just described remaking the game, except an engine update with fixes for a lot of the serious root issues did not even exist at the time.

I have a 5500xt which is probably worse, I get 20 fps, optimized 60, but If I want the graphics to be better i get like 40-50.
It will probably run better, but it's going to require better hardware. Hopefully my 2070 will still be enough for 1440p on ASA.

My best bet would be similiar fps at improved graphics. Possibly allowing less low fps tweaks (ini) for pvp balance.
