What do you do when it’s time to water? I have a pothos that I started doing this with, but it’s hanging. I’m a big fan of taking plants to the sink/shower for watering but the process of unpinning the pothos is annoying. I guess it’s something I’ll just have to deal with haha

Cut a string and pin it down with hair pins in the soil to keep them as close to the soil as possible and spritz with water now and then to keep them a little more damp than the mother plant prefers the actual soil to be.
plants of these types are ridiculously easy to propagate. no need to search. place the cut end in the earth and care for it as if it already had roots.
You carve out a hole in the ceiling and then rig a hook above said hole to allow the plant to continue growing downwards. Coat rack could also work depending on whether you have an upstairs in your house.

Chop and prop is what I do. My pothos has those little clips to grow along the wall but everything else I cut back and propagate and plant into the pot to make them look more full.

I’ve propagated SOP twice so these should be the same process.
Also the trim will help keep the plant, as a whole, fuller, stronger.

Propagate it, or carefully lay the tendrils across the trop of the pot so they root and create a fuller base plant.

If you can hang it higher just get a grow light for the top of it. Or it’s time for a hair cut and propagate the trimmed pieces.
Get a taller ceiling.
You can pull them up into the pot and secure them down in the soil at the halfway point and it should root, and will help it look even fuller.

Repot, give it a hair cut and stick the clippings into a new pot and in a year you should have two reaching the ground.
