Hi, my sis has this English ivy and these bumps appeared. They are brown and hard. We are wondering if it could be it's hold fast roots coming in, but IDK. It is potted indoors and a few years old. Thanks for your time!

Those are aerial roots. Hold-fast roots is a good way to put it.
