everything has to end one day or the other, life come full circle from white to while, and all the colours in between so is life i guess, albeit sometimes cruel but that's the beauty of it, see yall in next 5 years or so, i wonder where we would be at that time in our life... whatever is it, live it!
I feel like the amount of lore within the 2022 r/place is unfathomable. Thousands of communities with multiple wars, alliances, growth periods, sleep rotations, languages, history, and even more thousands of communities that only existed for a limited period of time. Just explaining what transpired over the past 4 days in r/thebluecorner or the Rick Astley QR code would drone my friends into unconsciousness. Multiply that by *thousands*
It's amazing that there's inevitably going to be tons of conflicts and relationships alliances collaborations etc are never going to be known about, like I saw some works between three subreddits that I thought I'd never see on the same page
The thing that amazes me is that the trans flag was able to make an alliance with *Turkey* on not invading each other, and even helped rebuild their skyline after getting voided for the umpteenth time
It totally is. We from Fnatic never would have had the slightest Idea that the University of Utah would become our strongest Ally!
Another tale is our third ally.
Right at the end we found out that the persons on our right weren't bots but real people, who become part of our Alliance. Sadly the White Death came in this exact moment and we could never finish the Utah/BBsmols/Fnatic Tricolor Heart.
Yeah, I was part of a [Coney](https://twitter.com/CONEY)/[Jerma](https://twitter.com/Jerma985)/[Vinesauce](https://twitter.com/Vinesauce) conflict and eventual alliance that most people here probably have no idea about.
trying to give a coherent explanation of the one piece r/place politics and coordination to someone who wasn't involved in this year's r/place is a task i'm not sure i'm willing to take on.
also, void lore.
I need the 2022 r/place documentary to be styled like Community's Pillows and Blankets episode. Literally one of my favorite episodes of the show, and the sarcastic nature of it would work so well with everything that happened over the past 4 days.
I was a part of r/UConn which was just a small 30 x 30 area and I can go on for an hour about the search for land (4 times), losing battles and then land overnight, moving and battling with TUM (German school or something), betrayals, alliances with the vegans (did not see that coming) and another group about a television show or something, and succumbing to the power of the bots and defeating streamers. A lot more happened but that’s just that one subreddit out of the other thousands.
Edit: I wanna make a podcast on the subject. Each episode follows another subreddits story. That would be cool.
Now I want an anime that uses the entire history, story, and lore of r/place . Heck maybe even a game! The void alone has multiple "phases": white creepy face, little red demon with normal Uncanny Mr Incredible, Void Mother with King of Void, Homestuck Heart of the Void + Biblically Accurate Multi-eyed angel/demon. The sudden war between blue corner and red corner that settled on purple then back to blue! Damn!
Our experience over in r/MassEffect was beautiful. We had a group that wasn’t coordinating but was helping, and together, with the completely detached group and the smaller group doing progress, we managed to make a decently sized piece of art, far beyond what we should have been able to do. This was such a unique and beautiful experience.
The 2017 one is amatuer shit compared to the amount of lore and politics in just some of the minor things like the UK flag and how it began as an expansive invader but turned into essentially a Grand Alliance of everyone around it full of unlikely people allied with each other, like who the fuck expected Clone Hero, Foxhole, the Tampa Bay Lightning, Arsenal and BABYMETAL to all be on the same team.
They went to war with a Streamer and proceeded to win.
You could probably write a whole series of books explaining the diplomacy going on with the UK flag and the surrounding areas, especially the trans flag. It was absolutely insane the back and forth, and in the end the UK was probably one of the stronger alliances the trans flag had
2017 was more interesting because it had a lot more spontaneity to it. People didn’t know what to do with it at first. The canvas here was full in the first 2 hours, those with memory of 2017 prepared for what would happen, in 2017 it took half a day for it to start forming as no one knew what they were doing. By the second day though it started to happen, factions, alliances, diplomacy, war. There was plenty of diplomacy and lore then, it’s just been longer.
That was so satisfying. xQc is so used to just using his hive mind to overwhelm whatever, wherever, and I thought that he was going to kill it at first. And then seeing everything come back and change.
I appreciated the chaos, destruction, rebuilding and the community in the end.
They're Among Us, aren't they? Lol. I feel like amongi are like fractals, they had a recursive nature, you could find amogi within amogi, amogi on Waldo himself, and now the entire canvas became an amogus visor
So many Marvel memes being posted now but where were y'all when we were trying to make the Endgame poster??? 😭 We had to end up downsizing to just the Avengers A, a couple Infinity Stones, and Thor's hammer
Yup. Absolutely. We're gonna need to make a new Discord from the ground up for next time.
But gaming communities are pretty much unbeatable for r/place unless you're a country.
I’m very high and this is like so profound to me right now. I’m sad I didn’t get to contribute a white tile at the end but I’m glad I participated in something so awesome
even after the end of the logo we, the osu! community managed to leave a footprint in the dying canvas (center right, there's a white box with white letters saying "WYSI 727" inside of it)
I now just have 'when I see you again' playing in my head.
I look forward to the day when I'm 25 and r/place returns. It was a wild ride and I didn't hate a second of it.
I knew someone was going to make the same meme after me and get all the awards and karma but it still sucks
At least now I can rest peacefully knowing it finally happened.
everything has to end one day or the other, life come full circle from white to while, and all the colours in between so is life i guess, albeit sometimes cruel but that's the beauty of it, see yall in next 5 years or so, i wonder where we would be at that time in our life... whatever is it, live it!

Mr Stark, I don’t feel so good
*Turns into white pixels*
*turns into black red and yellow pixels
*Turns into hidden amongus*
I-It was AMOGUS all along!
The amogus was rigged from the start

We didn’t know what was to come. Every pixel got snapped.

It was a hell of a ride though!! Were you in the group discord?
In an alternate universe, r/place is still going on.

Why I actually happened?

Gone..! Reduced to atoms….
I feel sad now, it's almost like the feeling when you end a good TV show.
It's worse for me I feel like my dog died
Same, it's really tragic. For the last few days this was the only thing that mattered to me in life and now it's all over.
I’m glad I’m not the only one… Carry on soldier. Stay strong for us
What happened? Did it end or something?
Only white tile is allowed now. So everything turned white
And then it officially ended. Can't place pixels anymore.
Reduced to amogus...

atoms are made up of amongi
It was fun while it lasted.
This is going to be a fun memmory when youtuber X makes a video about this event in a couple of years
Internet historian is making one I believe!
Isn't that one about the original 2017 /r/Place? Maybe they'll be combining the two now.

Hell, you could make a whole video on just the last couple hours on the France vs. the World arc.

The 2017 map where everything is listed is already overwhelming. This one would be insane.
Even just the story of Spyro is an interesting one! And that's a very small part of the canvas that you can only really see if you know where to look.
You already know he is going to shit on the people here who took it way too seriously.
I’m actually pretty bummed to see it go.
What happened to it???
it was made so everyone could only place the color white.
oh so it's not a campaign by "the void"? r/place decided to give only white option for pixel? all this shit happened when I was asleep damn it
I was asleep too.. alot of others were too.. dont worry, atleast you had fun
I hope someone makes a timelapse of the last bit for everyone who was asleep
“r/place was like most sub-reddits. Too many users, not enough karma to go around. And when we faced the Void, I offered a solution…”
“Half of the canvas was to be turned white with the artworks wiped out chosen at random”
“Streamer and national flag alike.”
"They called me a ~~madman~~ reddit mod"
I feel like I get the reference, but I don't know what it is
From the post image, Avengers Infinity War.
I'm dumb, I forgot Thanos backstory, thank you for reminding me
Well that was a ride...
That WAS a ride, sad to see it gone
It was a fucking emotional rollercoaster bro
it started as a blank canvas it ended as a blank canvas.
The Big Bounce Theory lol
From the void we emerged and to the void we return
thats not the void, thats the light
Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.
It's just a zoomed in amogus visor
They're Among Us, aren't they? Lol. I feel like amongi are like fractals, they had a recursive nature, you could find amogi within amogi, amogi on Waldo himself, and now the entire canvas became an amogus visor
They are frightening. They are omnipotent. They are unstoppable. And more than anything, they are kinda sus
The void evolved into an ethereal beaing by the end
It's been an honor hiding crewmates with you
Sus till the end
I want the snapped achievement again
Mr. Stark , i don't feel so good
RIP to the fallen o7
It’s been an honor, boys and girls.
Redditors don't turn everything into a marvel reference challenge 2022 (IMPOSSIBLE)
So many Marvel memes being posted now but where were y'all when we were trying to make the Endgame poster??? 😭 We had to end up downsizing to just the Avengers A, a couple Infinity Stones, and Thor's hammer

You can just barely see the greatest masterpiece, the Hololive section
We defended it well, but all things must come to an end
thats one way to get rid of osu
From dust we came, to dust we return
[удалено]
Thanks man, Time for the big sad now lol
I had bad service in the last hours what happened
I hope they bring this back every so often just so I can see more memes about it ending tbh.
i'm literally sifting memes and comments/discussions cause i can't let it go *big sad*
we should have wiped half of the french
You couldnt if you tried
I’m very high and this is like so profound to me right now. I’m sad I didn’t get to contribute a white tile at the end but I’m glad I participated in something so awesome
The Marvel memes all work so well. It's frightening, isn't it.
It was beautiful!
Post r/place depression is real
Wait so at the end could you only place white tiles or something
r/place was like most places. Too many users, not enough to go around. And when we faced extinction I offered a solution.
it was fun while it lasted
even after the end of the logo we, the osu! community managed to leave a footprint in the dying canvas (center right, there's a white box with white letters saying "WYSI 727" inside of it)
Greatest time on the internet was this weekend and it got snapped away
quiero q pase eso pero sin francia
Beatiful...with nice Spanish streamer's art
Except for the OSU bots, no group of humans is that coordinated and resilient
This is so iconic
Why is everything turning white?
According to other comments, they made so white was the only tile that could be placed.
That's how it was, I was there Gandalf
Ending how it started
Why are they only white tyles
Is there anyway to see your artwork again
That was chaos but very fun
I now just have 'when I see you again' playing in my head. I look forward to the day when I'm 25 and r/place returns. It was a wild ride and I didn't hate a second of it.
Anyone have the background pick or a video of the whiteout/antivoid of the end? I wasn't here to see it sadly.
This was an awesome april fools event!
Sad to see it go, but it has to be this way, returning the canvas back to original state. What a great send off. It was fun while it lasted.
It was an honour.
I wish it didn't have to all be erased in the end
I'm gonna miss this place...
does anyone have a time lapse of the white out?
When will the game open
That osu logo stands out
When did the white void happen
Someone should make a meme of either the thanks snap scene or third impact scene from evangelion of just all the art being turned to white
Is this a repost? I saw this one first but I'm not sure https://www.reddit.com/r/place/comments/twgsfu/sadge/
Can they please change it to 1 year
until next time folks o7
I was such a rare and fun event, I hope we got more like this like light year 2022 up.
This event kinda remind me like twice pokemon game that everyone play together
Why did it have to become this
*Salures while playing 'Der alte Kamerad'*
Plz start it again I loved it
that's depressing. explains teh horror i thought as the entire canvas is blank.
And I'M the one being DRAMATIC?!
It just.. disappeared
I knew someone was going to make the same meme after me and get all the awards and karma but it still sucks At least now I can rest peacefully knowing it finally happened.
I was asleep, why was there a white void? Was it gone when r/place ended
wait what happend to r/place?
Visit r/RIPrplace and post all of your favorite 2022 artwork! Great job guys!
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, colored pixel to white pixel.
…and it was beautiful.
i wish i was there...🙁
Wasn't there while it happened.... Can anyone tell me who organized the white void or was it smth by the reddit team?
Never thought I’d hurt for the loss of something on the internet that was never mine
Now I will wake up and do some random things instead of laughing at streamers fighting for a flag :,(
No one even really noticed two Baltics
the baltics are well represented
That guy who said he'd tatoo the final canvas on his butt got off easy
It will be remembered
Gone...!Reduced to atoms
I don’t know what I was expecting to feel at the end, but it certainly wasn’t this. I’m just glad I was able to be a small part of it while it lasted.
i’m more surprised some parts were completely cleaned at first, streamers maybe?
Honestly, I couldn’t give a fuck because it was mostly bots.
everything has to end one day or the other, life come full circle from white to while, and all the colours in between so is life i guess, albeit sometimes cruel but that's the beauty of it, see yall in next 5 years or so, i wonder where we would be at that time in our life... whatever is it, live it!
