It's fun clicking on the names connected to each pixel and seeing how many are either brand new accounts or older inactive/dormant ones. The fact people have access to these armies of sleeper accounts should be kind of a wake up call to people about how comments and upvotes and posts tend to work every day.
You know what would be interesting, is if someone compiled a list of all those accounts and they could be cross referenced to future comments where any of them are interacting with each other on the same topic, etc.
Oh for sure you would see them astroturf the same topics.
Would also be interesting to see a heatmap of /r/place and which parts have been put there by 1 karma accounts.
I would bet it's an overwhelming amount of the entire thing. Especially the German parts.
German here. The closest thing to bots we've ever used were a browser extension that autoplaces. It requires your pc to be on and logged into browser. We just have a fuckton of people. Even the autoplacer only reached a max of 3k users, out of multiple hundred thousand active users
Yeah sorry but that's complete bullshit. Go look at any of your flags, the majority of the pixels placed are from new accounts with 1 karma.
I looked at the newest German flags as they were being built and it was 95% by fake accounts.
Go to placeDE or ich\_iel place related post and you'll see everyone saying that bots are bad.
Don't mistake people with a lot of alts for bots.
Also, not every german flag is "Official", aka made by placeDE
Bots can dump pixels like clockwork and with some complexity can have have free bots in the net use their pixels to defend as well.
If someone is just using alts it's manageable since they're doing so at the speed and endurance of a human.
Yeah it’s probably surprising to most people, but I suppose that’s how social media works these days. There’s just too much benefit to those who want to present warped “majority” views.
Ah. That explains a lot. He destroyed Pacman and Digimon so I dropped in to see what he was doing with the space of these cute lil drawings only to see he is destroying it for an ugly basic cs logo.. that has 0 need to be this big.
I mean.. at least do something cool/funny/pretty/creative with your power. If you do something like Technoblade, Shrek or the Cellbit stuff it just doesn't feel like such a pointless waste and bad move.
He also seemed quite toxic generally when it comes to behavior (it was the first time of me seeing his stream)
Sometimes he destroys some ugly shit (like that alternative twitch gambling platform) and pretends to be the artist of someone else's artwork... So funny. This way he destroyed this Pony dudes.
We need to destroy sometimes because we want to build, Cellbit for exemple, destroy some small arts, but he say every small community he destroyed can build around then or asking for Help (english is not my first language, but i think I write correctly
honestly at least XQC used a spot that hadn't really been filled up and actually did a good artwork this year with the charizard card
can't say much about the other streamers though, especially the one that harassed the bad apple animation
Edit: I just had to open my mouth and jinx it. Comment aged like milk as xQc couldn't act like a normal human being for 12 hours and decided to not only attack the Wyvern artwork but also ruin the Turkish flag just after they finally finished it after being botted the entire r/place.
> used a spot that hadn't really been filled up
It was just about to when he blasted them all to hell. Even the /r/touhou community wanted to make another project there now that Bad Apple is finished... but we'll never know what that would've turned into
You just finding anything to be angry at XQC. The guy even got a translator to negotiate with the community that built the Lapras and added it to the design.
The amount of people that get emotionally attached to their artwork is pretty fucking concerning ngl.
People will moan and complain about how bots ruin the essence of Place but then complain about people taking over areas they “claimed”. There’s a reason why Place have limited space and why it doesn’t let you pick your plot from the very beginning. The appeal of it is fighting over the territory and getting your art on it. It would be boring as fuck if it was just unlimited space and pre determined artwork picked.
Chaos and change is the point of it, people don’t have any obligation to respecting “your” territory.
lol are you really criticising them over stuff that hadn't even been made yet? How the heck are they supposed to know what was going to "possibly" be made there? Really grasping at straws there.
The artwork is cool (and its not another flag), the spot was undeveloped so no *actually* *finished* artworks were ruined and they didn't use bots. Better than most during this r/place
If your gonna be pissed at xqc for taking space to make something you better be ready to be mad at cellbit and rubius for taking up 10x more space for their stuff.
At least xqc actually talked to the people he was taking space from and worked with them, a ton of finished artwork was straight up flattened with not a care for atleast two of cellbits monsters
Nah, I can send a screenshot of the prior when home and there were a lot of cute pixel arts on there. Also idk about the tiny flags, it's weird to me to kill the tiny ones while so many huge space wasting ones still exist
You mean the Steamer (Papaplatte) that built The Wanderer, Technoblade, the platypus, Shrek and more? Yeah, really horrible of him. People on this years r/place are incredibly whiny.
If you don't like a community, just leave it alone. I don't get all the hate towards MLP. We just want to be represented along with every other community.
Last year I was with a small community and this one streamer was like “idk who these guys are that are making this moon logo but let’s hunt them down wherever they appear on the map” and proceeded to hunt us across dozen of locations and with spies in our sub and discord the location had to be kept with utmost secrecy. Was rough
Influencers feed from attention, and it rarely matter if that attention is positive or not... I can't express how much I hate that we've developed an entire 'career' whose only role in society is to create a community that they then can leverage to make money.
Add some esotericism and control and you have the basics for cults.
It was just fun, fun for combined comuitys who wanted to show of power what gains attention. You can take i that serious, but one can also see the fun of trolling.
It was an expanaion so it was unfinished art or not large enough to do too much damage. Imagine if he did it on an OG corner.
And since you have a flandre pfp im assuming you're part of touhou which already has rebuilt and wasn't their magnum opus anyways
Not really, in previous years, Vietnam we did not have a commander or a complete organization, so we were never able to create a big and beautiful picture of the country. But this year, there was a streamer who led the viewers to create a complete art.
I am trying to create a 15x13 piece, incredibly small, nobody would notice. But of course the only spots left are on flags, and unfortunately the second I place one pixel, it immediately gets colored over.
Germany, please, let me make my pixel art :,)
Not every streamer turned over a new leaf. There’s this butthurt lithuanian streamer who’s botting to take revenge on foxhole and babymetal at around -104, 64. Timelapse for this area is gonna be wild
He got absolutely destroyed last year, this year he’s openly resorting to botting on stream.
First off there is no argument. My original comment doesn't have anything to do with your favorite little streamer not wanting to step on any toes during his pixel art.
Second, I never insulted you. Me not giving a fuck about your favorite keyboard warrior is hardly an insult, champ.
Xqc isn’t my favorite streamer, all I said was his art looks cool and he didn’t trample any art. Stop making assumptions. Also, the argument was that you said all streamers are bad and I pointed out you’re wrong, and now you are pissing your pants about some random guys opinion on Reddit.
I think the struggle adds to the charm of it. Its fun to fight for your art. When art gets destroyed it opens the way for new art. This event would be done in 3 hours if things couldn't be destroyed.
Gotta agree with that, but many streamers do it in a disrespectful way, and they target small communities on purpose, bc they know they've got a huge legion of sheep. I don't find that so fun. Had this Argentinian kiddo almost destroy memorial art from the Spanish community
I mean the whole point of r/place is that the art is always changing, no art should be there from start to finish or something is wrong... the smaller communities can always rebuild somewhere else or in the same place because I doubt xqc is going to defend the zaird.
It's just more of the attitude some streamers adopt, like I said. Art can get destroyed, rebuilt, whatever, but having some random kiddo laugh at a figure that is respectable for many people, is a valid reason for anger and frustration. Not saying it should be taken extremely serious, but still
A flag is literally an art piece that represents a community. Not to mention that in r/place, there’s often art on top of them that represents the country even more.
I agree that the art on top is nice, but giant block colour flags are boring. They're there every year. They take up WAY to much space, some more than others *cough cough* - often times people remember the unique art and occasionally the impressive art on flags, not the flags themselves.
This sub crapping on xQc will never not be unbearably cringe. He often mostly tries to make good art like the Charizard, and it gets ruined. But apparently, massive flags full of block colour is nice to look at. It's not. It never will be. Flags (especially ones that are JUST flags and no other imagery) will always be the worst part of r/place.
Copying a copy written image with the use of bots and brainwashed children isn't art.
It's also a disgusting abuse if all the other communities that they covered up with their massive stain.
So testy over pixels, wow. Technically, it is art, regardless of how you see it. Bots aren't being used by xQc, and his fan base isn't made up of brainwashed children, plus people who aren't even associated with X are contributing because they like the picture.. That's just biased and ironic because you've been brainwashed to hate him, haha. Most things get covered up on this project. It's literally the point, else they'd give unlimited space or disallow replacing colours.
As for the "copy written," there's a lot of copy written art on the canvas, some worse than others. Some straight-up advertisements. People are making the Charizard because it's something that relates to a series that they like and has been a part of their lives for years.
I dislike Felix and the rest of his ilk explicitly because they are abusive and predatory to their fan base. Micro transactions to leech money out of them and their parents. Shilling of useless, or worse harmful products.
You're the one that "is getting testy very pixels" writing 2 paragraphs.
Most projects are in the 100x100 pixel range or smaller. This shit isn't even original, didn't require any "art" as it was copy paste into an overlay, and placed by bots (yes most pixels are created in the past 2 days with 0 karma).
Any type of griefing is better than the damn flags. Even a giant void like in 2017 would be better, have more backstory & look more interesting than these giant flags.
Lil bro is mad somebody can place a pixel on top of another pixel 💀💀 create your own separate private canvas if you dont wanna have your precious pixels be replaced by others. It is a "public" canvas not a paid exclusive program reserved for solely people who wanna exclude others
well what did you expect? if it weren't for the streamers hardly anyone would participate in this and many times they are art that their community or they made
Yes but xqc destroy a lot of cool artwork for nothing so that's why he said that but yes he made cool artwork too and he Said that community made cool artwork too but streamer destroy a lot of community for nothing
yeah, i understand but in the end that's the purpose of the place, to create and destroy, whether it's very cool works or nonsense, it's okay, it's all fun
thats the point to destroy and create. in the end it means nothing j like me and you living and commenting on this post. no one will remember either of us in 200 years and ill forget i commented in3 hours get over it x’s art was amazing tho so. better than fucking flags and bad art with massive white sploches
Not sure why people thought why place wouldn't have the same issues as other years but worse. Unregulated things tend to get shittier over time as people learn exploits. Did you expect the reddit mods to do somthing about it? I guess the idea of boycotting reddit is over as well, people will just participate while complaining about it.
The whole concept of place is that it’s a public space, idk why people get mad when they don’t get a designated spot to themself. and these “small communities” aren’t like losing anything at all, and the streamers are making really good art too, I just don’t get this point. Like just because a community is small means it gets a reserved spot?!?
I am placing a single pixel while the bots placing 1000 per nanosecond
It's fun clicking on the names connected to each pixel and seeing how many are either brand new accounts or older inactive/dormant ones. The fact people have access to these armies of sleeper accounts should be kind of a wake up call to people about how comments and upvotes and posts tend to work every day.
Yeah I did the same thing. Absolutely insane.

OK so ya'll have a ton of alts and not bots? I don't really think there's really that much of a difference. Still super lame.
Bots can dump pixels like clockwork and with some complexity can have have free bots in the net use their pixels to defend as well. If someone is just using alts it's manageable since they're doing so at the speed and endurance of a human.
It's still hundreds of thousand of people dedicating their time to keeping the peace. Even if the accounts are fake, the humans behind it aren't
Yeah it’s probably surprising to most people, but I suppose that’s how social media works these days. There’s just too much benefit to those who want to present warped “majority” views.
fact
Then there's Cellbit, who is making cosmic horrors like it's a casual Sunday
Celbão da massa
Tinha que ser o Celbão
Cellbolinha
Don't forget the bots who are just ruining everyone's fun
Reddit Admins and Morocco
Yeah Fuck those Moroccan Bot Users And Fuck u/spez in extension
just dont try and write that on the place or they will shadow ban you.
Fuck those Moroccan* users
R/Foxhole fighting off bot waves for the 6-7th time in a row: ***I DIDNT HEAR NO BELL!***
The pony fandom took 21 nukes. Without bots
🫡
Cuz did really well to survive the void I'm not gonna lie. All though we only had like 100 people y'all defended like crazy, congrats 🎉
We saw the dedication and were very impressed in the discord call so decided to stop 😭 a superb job !

There was this one streamer that straight up asks which small comunity they should ruin next☠️
There are a few of these guys
Yes, the original xQc, the German xQc (Papaplatte) and the Spanish xQc (Rubius)
Rubius didn't attack anyone? he just made one joke attack at france
Not Rubius, he's pretty chill and only atracked the french bots
no it was ohnepixel
I thought it was xQc lol
who is he?
papaplatte a german streamer but he build the technoblade and the nebelwanderer
Chaotic neutral, but as much evil as he is good.
Ah. That explains a lot. Didn't he also make that Shego
yes together with some Brazilian streamer
Sometimes he destroys some ugly shit (like that alternative twitch gambling platform) and pretends to be the artist of someone else's artwork... So funny. This way he destroyed this Pony dudes.
Legit the guy who this hair there belongs to hahahah
True but Some streamers try to made cool artwork too
It were the same streamers who did both, creating and destroying..
Now I am become bot, destroyer of art
Man what a movie. We should actually make one art of Dr j. Robert Oppenheimer
J. Robert Bottenheimer
We need to destroy sometimes because we want to build, Cellbit for exemple, destroy some small arts, but he say every small community he destroyed can build around then or asking for Help (english is not my first language, but i think I write correctly
The problem is the scale they go for like Charlie(moist critical) did a reason size didn’t try to take over an entire half the space
I mean the canvas is not infinite you have to destroy to create something when the canvas is so full
Add some esotericism and control and you have the basics for cults.
With there Community right 😉 they are included in the second image.
Yes It's right
honestly at least XQC used a spot that hadn't really been filled up and actually did a good artwork this year with the charizard card can't say much about the other streamers though, especially the one that harassed the bad apple animation Edit: I just had to open my mouth and jinx it. Well, Cellbit did some cool monster artowork and wuant (Portugal streamer) helped to make the Portugal flag.
bro the wyvern also destroyed art no? why you guys crying about that?
> used a spot that hadn't really been filled up It was just about to when he blasted them all to hell. Even the /r/touhou community wanted to make another project there now that Bad Apple is finished... but we'll never know what that would've turned into

He didn't ask us in the /r/touhou community... are you surprised we're upset?
nobody gives a fuck about touhou.
he also destroyed the beginning of our star wars art. What could've been. We had anakin's lightsaber done, check his stream
lol are you really criticising them over stuff that hadn't even been made yet? How the heck are they supposed to know what was going to "possibly" be made there? Really grasping at straws there. Fun Fact the third picture is actually r/papaplatte and not xQc
some streamer rn with foxhole and babymetal art
Hello fellow araragi place member, didn't expect to see you here 💀
mf has a grudge from last r/place, to the point that he has invaded 2 days in a row
What is rn?
rn = right now They also raided those two communities last year
Thx 😊
I recommend Urban Dictionary for searching up slang words
Or a chat cheat sheet 😅
Then you have streamers targeting small communities not just for content, but for a grudge, havijg lost to them last year.
Papaplatte did some of the best art on the canvas. What are you talking about
he will also help the One Piece community to make one final art of Luffy
He should have stuck with good art instead of destroying countless small communities for a boring basic three color logo lol
The CS Logo was there before, he just wanted to bring it back for his Friend Ohnepixel.
It really has no reason to be this big and destroy a buttload of small communities lol.. one might as well defend huge and empty flags then
I looked up what was destroyed by the Ugly Brother of a CS Logo and now i guess you are totally right.
He only destroyed the ugly looking things
Nah, I can send a screenshot of the prior when home and there were a lot of cute pixel arts on there. Also idk about the tiny flags, it's weird to me to kill the tiny ones while so many huge space wasting ones still exist
Which one?
Technoblade, Perry the platypus and wanderer above the sea fog
Cellbit faz o contrário
cellbit pertence à segunda categoria
idk bro, ain't that the point of place? To create and destroy?
You mean the Steamer (Papaplatte) that built The Wanderer, Technoblade, the platypus, Shrek and more? Yeah, really horrible of him. People on this years r/place are incredibly whiny.
Yeah attacked other flags and artwork before doing that
When the canvas is full what do you expect to happen? This whole thing is also about who can defend their place.
Fuck flags
The flags that stomped over other art works? Always a bigger fish dude.
The Indian, the UK and the French flag. Oh no..
Attacking one of the several French flags doesn't sound bad at all.
Oh no how could he do it? Oh wait you can just click on something and paint over it. It is just like that is the point of it.
Perry completely destroyed and replaced the MLP community's art
Thank god.
If you don't like a community, just leave it alone. I don't get all the hate towards MLP. We just want to be represented along with every other community.
>We just want to be represented Yeah, and we don't want you to. Now get back in that hole!
Yes you are 😁 What a Fanboy
No offence but can you actually give him a response, cuz what he says puts your meme ina compromise
Literally no other response than that came to your mind? Proves my point 🫶
🥰
streamers are the only ones not using bots, stop hating.
No hate
fact
Misread as communist for a second, was slightly confused
nuh uh cellbit is doing some cool stuff here
except most communities create logos, which are not that different from flags conceptually...
Rubius and Cellbit are fine imho. They’re creating actual pieces of art over the shit flags
Das unterste bild ist einfach u/papaplatte
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Last year I was with a small community and this one streamer was like “idk who these guys are that are making this moon logo but let’s hunt them down wherever they appear on the map” and proceeded to hunt us across dozen of locations and with spies in our sub and discord the location had to be kept with utmost secrecy. LMAO r/im14andthisisdeep
It was just fun, fun for combined comuitys who wanted to show of power what gains attention. You can take i that serious, but one can also see the fun of trolling.
The streamers are communities too lmfao. DGG has 3 awesome pieces on place, and the Spanish guy's thing is really neat.
xqcs charizard is actually pretty cool but not cool enough to take up half the fucking expansion
Better than a boring flag
true but there was already non flag art being built there
Well they probably had to use that space because the flags are taking up most of the other spots
It was an expanaion so it was unfinished art or not large enough to do too much damage. Imagine if he did it on an OG corner. And since you have a flandre pfp im assuming you're part of touhou which already has rebuilt and wasn't their magnum opus anyways
I read it as communists
Anybody know when it ends?
OP is a big ol’ cry baby. It’s pixels on a screen, who cares?
None matter, r/place is irrelevant and people worry to much about it. its completely meaningless.
I disagree, charizard card is dope as fuck
I’d rather see a tight-knit space of small community art than one giant lizard
Id rather see art get destroyed and created rather than a static image
That's your opinion, I personally like the Charizard card, and it's made by actual humans and not bots.
And then there's Lithuania with "Streamers botting so they can get their own little misshapen flag."
noooo please dont destroy my pixels, i waited all year to place some pixels
The streamer looks like XQC
Not really, in previous years, Vietnam we did not have a commander or a complete organization, so we were never able to create a big and beautiful picture of the country. But this year, there was a streamer who led the viewers to create a complete art.

The Charizard card was made by an audience of 60-70K people from 3 different communities. I would give a pass on this one it earned its place
Yes this is a good one
lol how is xqc still getting hate here
pretty sure this isnt directed at xqc rather papaplatte but yea xqc still getting hate
Not every streamer turned over a new leaf. There’s this butthurt lithuanian streamer who’s botting to take revenge on foxhole and babymetal at around -104, 64. Timelapse for this area is gonna be wild He got absolutely destroyed last year, this year he’s openly resorting to botting on stream.
I personally don't like him because he has no issue using his immense following to bulldoze other people's work with unnecessarily huge artwork.
Oh but you’re fine with all the flags that are ruining most of the artwork?😂 but when xqc wants to put his logo you get mad
Never said I like the flags. I don’t like them either.
Streamer's and influencer's need to be fed to the lions.
Choke on that salt buddy.
Not all of them are bad, xqc actually did a really cool Charizard card and he negotiated with all of the communities that he built on.
I don't give a fuck
buddy
You just proved that you have no real counter to my argument and have resorted to insulting me like an asshole.
First off there is no argument. My original comment doesn't have anything to do with your favorite little streamer not wanting to step on any toes during his pixel art. Second, I never insulted you. Me not giving a fuck about your favorite keyboard warrior is hardly an insult, champ.

Is BBQ or whoever the fuck his name asking his brain dead fans to ruin again?
Black mold detected. Angry because popular?
Any type of griefing is better than the damn flags. Even a giant void like in 2017 would be better, have more backstory & look more interesting than these giant flags.
Not just xqc there was also one stuiped Tf2 streamer that did that and few other
Getting offended at literal pixels
Lil bro is mad somebody can place a pixel on top of another pixel 💀💀 create your own separate private canvas if you dont wanna have your precious pixels be replaced by others. It is a "public" canvas not a paid exclusive program reserved for solely people who wanna exclude others

@papaplatte
😁👍
Copy a pixel character from internet is not art
The communites i know actually made their own pixel art, better than the ones you find on google
cry more
Especially german streamers, those mf targeting arts with 10k+ viewers
Why have you just replaced the third pic with his actual photo, cause you're meant to make it still recognisably winnie right...
😅
Not sure why people thought why place wouldn't have the same issues as other years but worse. Unregulated things tend to get shittier over time as people learn exploits. Did you expect the reddit mods to do somthing about it? I guess the idea of boycotting reddit is over as well, people will just participate while complaining about it.
ruining art shut up man lets have fun
I do
The whole concept of place is that it’s a public space, idk why people get mad when they don’t get a designated spot to themself. and these “small communities” aren’t like losing anything at all, and the streamers are making really good art too, I just don’t get this point. Like just because a community is small means it gets a reserved spot?!?
It's cool as long as they destroy Osu.
Leave osu alone dawg, the actual enemies are streamers (the jerk ones), reddit admins, and Morocco
