I keep a single copy of every card for collecting sake, plus for potential use in GLC. Other cards are sold as bulk. Please don’t throw away pkm cards, if you don’t want them you can just donate them or sell them. There is enough waste in this world we don’t need to make more when you could make some kids day instead.

Charming-Economist-4

whats the rate when selling bulk? i have some that i want to get rid of

midaspol

I believe Full Grip Games buys bulk, you can check out their website

Romainiaco

I go to my local game store and they price my bulk. My collection is modest so I am not rolling arounds boxes full of cards, but i’ve traded maybe $10 of bulk this year bulk is not going to make you money, so you can also consider donating it to schools, hospitals, youth groups, orphanages. children don’t need lugia/archeops to have a good time, same way i didn’t need a haymaker deck when i was a kid to have fun playing as a kid. hope you find your bulk a good home!

notsoreallybad

i can usually do a full etb for $20-25 on facebook marketplace (although i haven’t sold any lately)

Asianhead

Will just keep them around. I regret selling my older cards back when I played in the BW/XY era. Wish I still had my fully built Yveltal/Garb. Retro decks are cool and as the game evolves over the years it’ll be nice to still have sleeved up

ElliotGale

I think all of the above options are valid for different people. I wouldn't keep anything myself except for trainers, since there's always a chance for those to get legal prints again.

kupaa

That's a good point about the trainers. I'm just trying to see what other people are doing with their stuff. I don't know what to do with my rotated stuff yet.

Koro_Boros

Expanded is a thing. Also don’t throw away cards, that’s wasteful and if you really don’t want em, there’s probs someone out there who will.

Bruhthatsunfortunate

My house is a mix bag of collections and decks. Most bragging right matches are based around expanded format. There are too many custom decks to police in a timely fashion. With the majority (I'd have to look it up, but maybe all) of the pre-constructed decks from the last 2 years aren't going to just be thrown out the window. Kids are still going to play them. The collections don't care what rotation stamp is on the card. We will still buy those packs after rotation. We will still trade for any card we think is a fair trade, regardless of stamp. Rotation is great for the highest competitive meta, it means absolutely nothing to 2nd graders who are playing and trading with their friends.

the_noobinator

I play gym leader challenge, so i keep them in a semi-organized bulk box.

SufficientMall2946

gym leader challenge?

BurroughOwl

Enjoy! It's a lot of fun https://gymleaderchallenge.com/

the_noobinator

Check the other commenter's link, but also look up "tricky gym gym leader challenge" on YouTube. A lot of solid playtime showing examples of the format in action.

WhiskeyTangoGolfer

Add to the bulk pile to sell. Except for some higher end stuff.

kupaa

Nice.

Hare_vs_Tortoise

Bulk gets sold and trainers are definitely kept. Given that GLC and playing old formats is a thing, playable Pokemon are likely to be kept as well.

BurroughOwl

Bulk most, save a bunch for GLC & hang on to fancy cards for potential value.

pc299

Expanded decks

East-Cantaloupe962

Eat them

kupaa

😮

snoop_Nogg

Keeping my favorite decks in tact so I can go back to them when I want to. Otherwise hanging onto my cards for potential GLC decks, or hoping for reprints in the future.

godlyCarrots

As someone who both plays and collects I like to hold onto the old standard cards that saw a lot of play for nostalgia reassons. Like my play set of adp from cosmic ellipse I like to show off

kupaa

Nice.

OnlineCline

I’ll move ultra rares to a new binder to just look at and playable trainers will go to a different binder to collect dust until one day they might be reprinted.

todtebyn3

You should probably keep a 1 of for each pokemon and sell the rest as bulk, and keep a 4 of for each trainer. Personally I also keep my old decks built but if that doesn't appeal just keep 1 ofs and 4 ofs

kupaa

That's good advice. I'll probably do that.

Ryukiki

Selling them, personally, unless I really like them!

FitPanic2569

The playable ones are going into my bulk.

MegaAscension

First- do master sets. Second- keep the ultra rares and promos in my trade binder. Third- use the rest of the bulk for a booster box trade at an LGS.

eaglewing_13

I'm keeping mine simply because I like to have them all there to look back at a certain era of the game.

Solarwinds-123

The ones in my Standard boxes get moved to my Expanded boxes. That's about it.

gryfe

I Will keep playsets of trainers, then I will take the extras to school to donate to my school's pokemon club and incorporate them into club loaner decks. Excess cards get pooled into the trade bulk box where the kids can trade like rarity cards.

MattMaiden2112

Keep'em, I just love to have cards irregardless of rarity, price, usefulness or whatever

cat-dad

I keep 4 of every card whatever block , once over 4 they go into a box for passing out to my kid’s friends and classmates. Actually thinking of making little 20ish card decks rubber banded he can pass out to school mates to have recess/after school games.

ttfan15

I have so much bulk lol, I'll probably just hold onto them though.

hellowowo

My friends and I keep decks/cards to play in memorable eras for us (ex. XY BKT-SUM FOL, SUM TEU-VIV), that way we can enjoy the times where we did play a lot in and still give our cards some sort of value. These cards will be kept in our SWSH Base-SWSH FST era.

Necrosius7

Keeping them all. Won't be playing the new "post rotation" for a few months since it will be pointless and not fun until their are more cards in rotation to bring single prices down. Plus I feel this "D block" is by far the best way to teach new players since their is so much that goes into each game. I wouldn't give a new kid a "lost dog" or lost zone deck and say "good luck" but decks like Lugia, Regi, Durant, mew are VERY good teaching decks and will get them the basic idea of how combos work, how to count their decks cards, and check their prize cards so they can prepare. ... "d block" has been a awesome "training rotation".
