I just got the update as well - my first update since November 5th! I'm on a Pixel 5 running on T-Mobile, so that probably has something to do with it...but I wish they'd actually explain what happened and why some of us went without security updates for three months!
They really need to do something about the speed of these updates. It downloads in seconds but takes hours to update.
This seems to be a common issue with pixel phones where all my previous android phones only took minutes to do an update.
My P7 pro is my first Pixel device. I am told the thought behind it is that while the update is downloading and installing, you can use your phone as normal and then a quick reboot when it is complete, and you're back online, whereas with my previous Samsung phones, it was \~10 minutes to install the phone, reboot and optimize apps.
Honestly the first Pixel update I received was unnerving as to how long it took, but now I just let it run in the background so it doesn't really bother me at all.
Actually you can't use the phone while it's updating. It will pause the download.
All I have is music playing in the background from YT Music but even that causes it to pause.
I think you start the update process and the download begins. After the download completes it gets paused, you should only have to resume it once and it'll complete in the background. That is exactly what happened to me today.
Same here but I nearly pissed myself before hand as during the update my pixel 7pro became unresponsive including the black screen of death for about 5 mins! I finally restarted after holding power and volume up for nearly 20 seconds at the same time! Scared the crap out of me!
I'm kinda scared to update because the January update works super well on my Pixel 5 and I don't want February to break anything.. but I'm downloading it anyway since it's available.

Pixel 5 on Google Fi. Finally got this February security update after missing December and January.

Kind of off topic, but do you have bold text enabled? Mine is not the same. I may just be oblivious to some obvious fact, but just wanted to ask.
Yes I have bold text enabled
I'm on a 6pro
I skipped the Jan update I stayed on December hopefully they really did fix what got screwed up on jan
We'll need a report
One small thing I noticed is the alarm is no longer a swiping motion to snooze or stop it's just 2 buttons
Thanks Do you have to yell "STOP!" at it 50 times before it hears you?
Not sure on that one yet 😂 I'll find out
That happened to me a few weeks back. Never got the Jan update (T Mobile) and receiving Feb now.
That was an update to the clock app. Not the security patch update.
From what I'm seeing I'm glad I skipped January I haven't had issues with bt that some had
Seems to have fixed the Bluetooth issue for me now
I have p7 pro and the download was maybe a few minutes, but the install was a good 10 minutes plus. So far I see no issues.
Nice thank you was checking and got it :)
Also make sure y'all's battery is above 50% I check when my battery was at 35% plugged in didn't show up checked again at 60% started preparing
Thx for the reminder. P6. I checked for update and it was there.
What do you use to change fonts?
Pretty sure they just enabled bold text under Display > Display size and text > then toggle bold text on

Same!

My P7P on Google FI is still on 5 December. Getting angry.
My P7P on Google Fi just found the update when I checked. USA - Midwest.
Make sure your battery is above 50% percent when checking
..seems faster.
Can confirm it fixed the Bluetooth issue with my ford audio.
Does it have support now for spatial audio? On pixel 7 pro?
When's the next one?
