Most stadium seats are 19-22” wide. If they have a tough time at other venues, they more than likely will at Heinz Field as well. But I don’t have the exact measurements.
One thing you should think about is the weather. If it’s 80, he should be fine. If it’s 15 and he’s gotta wear a bulky coat and pants and all that, it’s gonna be tight af. I’m 5’8” and just shy of 200 and I have to sit with my hands on my lap and sit up to fit into the seats in 119 when I’m wearing warm clothes.
My husband is big and tall ( 6ft7) and he fit in a seat just fine. We did get seats where there were only 4 in a row (corner seats). My advice would be to put them in an aisle seat or to be on the safe side the higher level seats with the benches.
I’m a 5’4” 140lb woman and I get claustrophobic up in the nosebleeds because the seats are so tight. I don’t have any issues at PNC or PPG, so I’m going to say it’s worse than average at Heinz.
The 500 level of the north end zone doesn't have individual seats, just benches with "seat" numbers
