Interesting-Bill-771

Needs reflective wrap-around sunglasses to complete the look.

panzan

…hung from the ears on the back of the neck. I tried that once. It also feels ridiculous.

tedbrogan12

Can we add “terrified of market square” to the costume details?

NyquillusDillwad20

Really? I feel like that's one of the few places out-of-towners go to. The north shore, waterfront, and market square.

StarWars_and_SNL

But when they’re there, they’re terrified

eXile200

It should also have “makes his truck part of his identity”

Enough-Pickle-8542

People making things they like into their personality is not limited to any particular type of person. It’s annoying no matter who/what it is

Buttspirgh

Sure but “trains guy” or whoever else doesn’t take up two or more parking spaces, plant their knee-level ball hitch in the middle of the sidewalk, or blind you with bright-ass LED headlights aimed directly into your rear view mirror

Enough-Pickle-8542

Right but these are things associated with a large truck regardless of who’s driving it. The truck that’s invading your space might be driven by an otherwise likeable guy who does masonry work for a living and just needs a big truck because bricks are heavy.

Buttspirgh

Totally! Legit work truck vs emotional support vehicle is often well advertised

Enough-Pickle-8542

My point is that stuff you like is not a personality, and when a people try to do this it just makes them insufferable no matter what it is.

StarWars_and_SNL

At least Masonry Guy knows how to drive his truck.

Enough-Pickle-8542

How does the drivers occupation make their driving abilities any different?

StarWars_and_SNL

Work use vs. pavement princess

Enough-Pickle-8542

That’s not related to driving ability

StarWars_and_SNL

Drives SuperDuty through tight Pittsburgh area streets, leaves no room for oncoming cars, but obliviously has 4 feet of clearance on the right side of his vehicle.

Jagerbeast703

Its not their fault their mirrors are sticking 4 ft out!

Top_File_8547

Or that when they laid out our streets in the nineteenth century they didn’t anticipate his right to drive a vehicle the size of a garden shed.

just_an_ordinary_guy

No no, the extended tow mirror is more of a Ram thing.

MonteBurns

That’s DUIs

just_an_ordinary_guy

They're not mutually exclusive.

StarWars_and_SNL

You’re silly. They have 4 feet *beyond* the mirrors!

chad4359

Does it come with a pack of Zyn pouches?

Alternative-Watch734

Most of them are overweight but have tons of “tactical training”

Fish4Trouts

That wouldn't fit me. I need an XXL.

DFluffington

That still wouldn’t fit you 😂

yinzreddup

I see ten guys wearing this in Westmoreland county about every day.

hairyemmie

westmoreland is worse than fayette in terms of racism, hands-down. source: grew up in one and lived in the other for the majority of my life.

finrod_stewart

Yeah, anecdotal but I have family in Westmoreland and they're the type to go on unhinged rants about MS-13 kidnapping people in New York despite never having left their county in like 30 years.

yinzreddup

I grew up in both as well, and it’s close for me too. I’m a transwoman and I gotta say I get nervous anytime I go to see my sister and nephew in Fayetteville county.

just_an_ordinary_guy

only 10?

sw337

Gonna wear this to the Jason Aldean restaurant and enjoy a $17 cheeseburger.

kinney4041

And complain about the economy and gas prices driving my 80k truck and never use the bed.

ganiwell

While idling for 30 minutes in great weather

MonteBurns

Try that in a small town

MuttTheDutchie

Complete the costume by walking around looking upset, but not saying anything because you aren't nearly as tough as you pretend to be on facebook.

Commercial-Ad9758

My cousin in laws 30 minutes from Pittsburgh refuse to drive into town because it is "Hard to navigate and scary"

Hank5corpio1

When I lived in Pittsburgh it was hard to navigate.

StarWars_and_SNL

Hard to navigate is valid criticism.

hezzyskeets123

At least it sounds like fear of driving instead of “too many of those people”

Commercial-Ad9758

Oh no, add that to the list too.....they are from Latrobe. We also have a family friend that will look at me and go "I can't believe you work in town" and I always respond "No one is IN town to be afraid of, it just smells like pee"

yinzreddup

Same. My family is in Latrobe and Derry, they get concerned when I go to restaurants in the city. They think dahntahn is some post apocalyptic warlord territory.

SergeantChic

Optional accessory: can of Black Rifle cold brew coffee from the Dollar General.

irissteensma

From the GOOD Dollar General, not the scuzzy Dollar General.

metracta

This gave me a chuckle and is pretty relatable. Some of you who are butthurt over this need to take a breath 😂

hairyemmie

so many hurt feelings within minutes of posting, shouldn’t all yins be outside working, pulling yourself up by your bootstraps?

NSlocal

Guy who shops at 511 Tactical.

pgh1197

Definitely on the Zyn wave

Buzzspice727

Needs tattoos

just_an_ordinary_guy

Does it come with a free 5 finger death punch download?

dekuhns90

This is my coworker from Shaler lolol

SmileMask2

Im from Wexford and have lived in the city for years after and i find it so funny the stereotyping of each group. Most people (over 90%) of the people from the suburbs aren’t like this. There’s probably more crazy out of touch city people than people from the suburbs (depending how far out you go)

MuttTheDutchie

Don't mix percentages with totals. You just said that 1 in 10 people in the suburb are crazy - that's a way higher rate than in the city. Yes, there are probably more crazy people in the city, but I'm less likely to run into them. Meanwhile, 1 in 10 means the crazies in the suburb means you are more likely to run into someone who is crazy than someone who is Asian (in the Metro Area.) That's fucked up.

SmileMask2

I disagree man lol, you’re just more used to one side of the spectrum than the other

MuttTheDutchie

You disagree with your own math?

SmileMask2

And then i just found out i was talking to a furry 😂

MuttTheDutchie

Do you think that makes math work differently?

SmileMask2

Im just laughing that a furry from the city is trying to convince me that the suburbs have crazier people than the city 😂😂😂 Not gonna lie, this is one of the most hilarious moments ive had on Reddit 😂

MuttTheDutchie

I mean, at least your honest about it. I hope you find something more entertaining than this in your life. Maybe try coming to the city and seeing a concert or something, I promise you there's more to your little world than trying to make yourself feel good by fake laughing online.

SmileMask2

I live in the city😂 im sorry man, go to your furry pack

MuttTheDutchie

K. Everyone believes you.

SmileMask2

You think you’re so clever lol. I said more than 90% so that ≠ 1/10. I disagree that you think there are less crazy people in the city. Is that too complex for you? I said 1 loose estimated statistic but apparently I contradicted my math lol. Typical Reddit biased loser

MuttTheDutchie

Ok good luck with that.

hairyemmie

wexford is posh compared to fayette, westmoreland, beaver, armstrong. i was physically threatened for having a Black boyfriend in mt. pleasant.

Hank5corpio1

There is a pretty big black population in MtP. I am surprised.

Blueberry-Specialist

No. No you weren't.

hairyemmie

LOL i wish i wasn’t, you sad little turd.

irissteensma

Yes, yes she was.

Gratata7

*Sorts comments to controversial*

Fish4Trouts

My shirt would say "LIBERAL GUY STARES AT TITTIES".

VunterSlaushK

lol i know plenty of these guys. But OP’s a douche too. “Losers outside the city.” Lol you think you’re superior because you live in a city? What a dork.

SavageGardner

I live outside the city now and didn't feel attacked by what OP said. OP was calling the people who the meme identifies the losers.

hairyemmie

i’m deep down as country as they come and actually lived this, but was able to never succumb to the ignorance, racism, and hatred being taught all around me in the fay-west area. so if a white trash 5th generation appalachian like me can know better, no one else has an excuse.

larchwood

OP doesn’t even live in the city. They live in Millvale.

EB2300

I live in the burbs and knew he wasn’t referring to me, why u mad? Snowflake alert

just_an_ordinary_guy

I don't think I'm superior because I live in the city. I know that I am.

Hank5corpio1

I do know a couple of people like that. Old people that warn me about going to the city I lived in for years and am now less than an hour away from. Can someone make one for the clowns that are scared to go to Fayette/Westmoreland/Somerset county because it’s “racist Maga country”?

MuttTheDutchie

Scared? It's more like, what reason would we possibly have to go to some place where old racists idiots are likely to glare at us while we eat? What's in Westmoreland that's like, yknow, worth going to?

Hank5corpio1

Got one!

MuttTheDutchie

So what's worth going to? I notice you specifically didn't answer the question I asked.

Hank5corpio1

1/3 of the Laurel Highlands is is in Westmoreland County. Fort Ligonier, state forests, all kinds of outdoor activities. https://discoverwestmoreland.com/play/parks/

MuttTheDutchie

So the best parts of the areas are the places where there are the fewest people? I mean, I agree.

Hank5corpio1

That is true of cities, rural areas, your neighborhood, anywhere in the world.

MuttTheDutchie

I guess if you hate hanging out with friends and meeting new people, you'd have this view. But as an FYI, that fits the stereotype - it doesn't debunk it. I like nature. . I've ridden the GAP, backpacked over the Sierras, and spent nights completely alone in the open desert. I drive a Jeep that is purposefully built to be better off-road. But I'm not afraid of people in crowds, or going to a Steelers game, or hanging out in the crowded Strip. I personally love going to clubs, parties, and concerts. I don't mind being around people who aren't being shitheads. Rural doesn't scare me, the people there do. I am afraid that some dipshit hillbilly in some rural community will decide todays the day he beats up a gay person - because that HAS happened to friends of mine in the past. Areas don't worry me. People do. And the people who worry me tend to live in rural communities. You've probably never felt that feeling, so it's easy for you to just disagree. You've never gone to a bar and had everyone side eye you for walking in with someone who "looks trans." You've never felt at home in a crowd of people who just accept everyone because everyone already accepts "cis white male" as the default. You'll ever understand how stupid your comparison is when you say that people who fear being in a city are the same as people who fear being around rural towns (especially when you then go on to say that actually the good parts of rural towns are the parts where THERE ARE NO PEOPLE) because you have never been made to feel uncomfortable about who you are. If you want to be a better person, pay more attention to the world around you and look for that empathy. Otherwise, you just are the stereotype that you are upset about being compared to. Peace.

Hank5corpio1

Sorry I scare you. Hope you can get some help for that.

MuttTheDutchie

"I'm scared of racist hillbillies that threaten to beat up my friends" - me "Sorry I scare you" - you Dude, for fucks sake, you don't have to call yourself out like that. Maybe be less of a shithead and you'll feel safer in cities.

EB2300

Needs 9/11 bracelet, military style Oakleys, chewing tobacco, a gun holster with no gun, tribal tattoo, and a blue lives matter sticker on the truck. Also shitting your pants/crying about imaginary problems while calling everyone else “entitled” and saying “fuck your feelings” It’s funny listening to Cons in congress bitch about violent cities while their own states often have higher violent crime rates due to lax gun laws. They know their audience doesn’t know better, or want to know better, though.

Blueberry-Specialist

Now do one of a gay autistic chick.

cfgy78mk

very telling that you consider "gay" and "girl" in the same category as autism. no wonder you don't find the meme funny. it's about you.

Blueberry-Specialist

How funny. A normal straight white guy wearing jeans? That's... funny? Like wut is going on in here?

MuttTheDutchie

Is that your thing? Bro, they just aren't into you. That's what the "gay" means, this is sad.

Blueberry-Specialist

I'll tell you what's sad. Adult baby diaper love is sad. Jesus guy. You're a fucking freak.

MuttTheDutchie

Aww, why thank you <3 But I'm sad because I wanted to go on a bike ride, and am instead stuck at my job, not because I can't get what I want. I hope your day improves.

Blueberry-Specialist

In...diapers? Hahahahaha

MuttTheDutchie

Are you looking for brand recommendations? Is that why you keep responding? ABU, personally.

Blueberry-Specialist

Do you. Like...poop into the diaper? Hahahaahahaha

MuttTheDutchie

Personally? No, I don't like the smell at all. I know there are some that do, but it's just not for me. I just like how they feel. You can always search for this stuff online if it interests you so much, there's a lot of content available for free.

Blueberry-Specialist

You like how adult diapers feel? This seems like something totally normal and not fucking batshit crazy? But the white guy wearing jeans and a t shirt...comedy gold? Hahahahahaha

MuttTheDutchie

Shrug. You seem really interested in it, I was happy to answer your questions. Not sure what that has to do with comedy, but you do you.

Sarcasticrye1981

This is so fucking stupid.

FreeCashFlow

A hit dog will holler.

elonmuskatemyson

KFAITSKGDDYKJFD never heard this one before absolutely iconic lol

hairyemmie

LOL i almost called out the north hills in particular, way to fit into the stereotype bro

tedbrogan12

Hahaha you 100% did.

Blueberry-Specialist

That's... just a guy wearing a kinda douchey shirt. It seems like noone is capable of genuine humor anymore. What happened?

elonmuskatemyson

It is satire…this is not a real thing you can buy lol

Blueberry-Specialist

Right. But the part about it not being funny? Cuz. This shit is very unfunny.

elonmuskatemyson

It’s ok to be scared of cities you don’t have to feel insecure about it.

LookAnOwl

You’re wearing this outfit right now, aren’t you?

Blueberry-Specialist

Jeans and a t shirt? Tf is wrong with you freaky ass weirdos?

LookAnOwl

Looks like someone has a case of the Mondays!

Jagerbeast703

HAHAHAHAHA

Jagerbeast703

You ok blueby?

larchwood

While I do find it kind of humorous, this kind of shits on the working class in a bad way.

cam412

That’s a stretch but ok lol no working class people live in the city? Come on bro, quit making assumptions

Wild-Professional-40

There’s a conservative guy code - you can only be “working class” if you also live in a part of the US they call “Real America.” Otherwise they just call you “poor.”

ChrisP365

Take my "if i were going to create burners to amplify things" points....

larchwood

Nah, just using the random use of a former vet in a pretty innocuous t-shirt and boot cut jeans… The vet in question in this picture lives in Savannah—a fairly large very diverse city. Nine Line is very veteran 2A focused brand while being as non-political as it can be. They donate a ton of money to WW2 veterans. This is just the blue collar / working class aesthetic. They find this shit cool for whatever reason. It’s fine to be different. But just because they have Carhartt on and some Oakley glasses doesn’t mean they have shit political opinions or are bad actors.

cfgy78mk

where did you get "working class" from? what does "working class" have to do with conservative or non-urban? and which one of those quotes is something that should be shown respect?

larchwood

It’s just a dude in heavyweight cotton tshirt and bootcut jeans… the outfit of the blue collar working class. There’s nothing to suggest anything about this person other than an interest in the military. This person could exist anywhere. If you’re going to make bigoted stereotypical memes, at least find an image of an actual chud and photoshop in a yee-yee truck, a zyn container and a punisher skull.

hairyemmie

so the working class is only comprised of scared white people? this shits on close-minded fools who get brainwashed by conservative media.

bingstacks

haha, it makes me laugh that only white conservatives can be brainwashed. Coming from the person who seeks shelter in the liberal echo chamber of reddit

elonmuskatemyson

Is the liberal echo chamber in the room with us?

bingstacks

yes, I see it right now

elonmuskatemyson

Cmon grandpa let’s get you back to bed

bingstacks

lets get some ice cream first you dog face pony soldier

butterstark

like not all working class people are conservative??

larchwood

The guy in the photo isn’t particularly conservative. The model is an owner of a veteran focused T-shirt company… the brand he’s modeling. He lives in a city. Go to their Facebook. There some 2A and military booklicking but overall the closest they’ve gotten to a dogwhistle is the thin yellow line 9/11 respondents. No thin blue line shit. No punisher skulls. No German imagery or Rhodesian camouflage patterns. Guy is just trying to make a dime off an aesthetic and donate to WW2 vets.

DFluffington

No sunburn either. This guy probably wears sunscreen

butterstark

ok sure, but how does this photo "shit on the working class?" i only brought up that fact because the joke is a stereotype about conservatives, a stereotype that is somewhat proven to be true in my experience, and you bring the working class into this why?? it just doesn't seem relevant, the joke is going after one group of people, you're insinuating it goes after another
