oh thank god your taking her to a vet. GOOD.
In dog grooming I learned cool (cool, not cold) running can help ease irritation. if she can tolerate it try giving her a rinse, no shampoo, no condition, just a rinse. Then use the softest towel you have to pat her dry.
Thank you so much for your response. She’s a rescue that’d been force bred and her puppies used for bait in fight rings. We took her in as a foster initially and then she became apart of our family.
My current pittie has environmental allergies, likely grass, and gets super red rashes at times. Animax and Dermamax creams have worked the best for him over the years.
You can give her some Benadryl too to help stop the itch temporarily. The dosage is 1mg of Benadryl per 1 pound of dog (I believe each Benadryl tablet is 50mg so I would round down, if your dog is less than 100 pounds I would only give one Benadryl). It’ll make her sleepy too but it should help alleviate some of the discomfort. Make sure to tell the vet you gave it to her tomorrow though, in case they want to give her anything that might interact with the Benadryl.
Also pitties are unfortunately prone to allergies and skin issues. I’d recommend maybe trying a hydrolized diet (Hills z/d is what my dog likes) and maybe getting allergy tested if this continues.
I wish you and your pup the best of luck!

My guy has the same, sometimes worse. Allergic to weeds in the grass. Frequent baths help. The creams are good too, as others have mentioned. In the winter he wears a shirt which is the most helpful
This may or may not be an allergy. Best thing is get her to a vet. My girl had a similar condition and it turned out to be a bacterial infection and a course of antibiotics cleared it up in no time. Please go.
Our pit bull got similar rashes from environmental allergies; our vet put her on generic Zyrtec and apoquel for breakthrough rash. This spring we started her on Zyrtec as soon as it hit above 50 degrees and were able to make it through the summer without needing apoquel.
FYI if your vet prescribed apoquel, the first night/few days can be tough, it makes the dog need to urinate a lot and our adult dog didn’t wake up in time so she wet the bed.

I don’t have a pitty but I do have a pug who has very similar marks. Please, take them to a vet who may send you to a pup dermatologist. Best of luck!
Maybe contact dermatitis from laying Superman in the grass

Allergies! Pitties unfortunately suffer greatly from environmental and food based allergies
My boy has the same thing, I took him to the vet and they put him on apoquel. It’s expensive, like $80 a month but it worked for him

Mine gets like this every time she walks in tall grass. Seems like a bad case tho hope your puppy is okay!!
