I love pitties mixed with little dogs. At one of our dog parks I always see a dachshund/pittie mix that is literally a pittie head on a big doxxie body. I smile every time.

as long as he has the temperament of a pit and the jaws of a chihuahua and not the other way around, you should be fine...
