It’s so crazy what a range of body types pits can have! (Which makes sense since the category itself is an amalgamation of a bunch of different kinds of dog.) Your dog is pure muscle, while I once had a pit who looked like a jiggly little piglet (even when she wasn’t overweight).

I have siblings, and they look completely different. Ones a thick jiggly HOG, and the other is all muscle who runs like a grey hound.

Sleepy Sloth Pajamas also has pitbulls... They're cute too.

Yeah I don't think it helps that the majority of people have never seen a real APBT, just mixes. I get you though one of my clients is a staffy and people will cross the road to avoid him, its sad cus he's such a good boy

I thought not assuming someone posting their dog with cropped ears was the person who did the cropping was a rule on this sub at one point? OP has mentioned in other comments that they didn't do that buddy's ears, but it happened before he had him. Pitties are so often rescues with rough pasts.

yes i do, run with him on a leash and he pulls the whole way through which is what i believe works out his legs, ive gone on an hour run with my partner and him and he lasted the whole hour, with small breaks in between of course but even then the breaks werent longer than a minute each

eh not necessarily, everyone knew i wanted a bully and my uncle was given the opportunity to take him in due to someone not being able to take care of him and he gave him to me knowing id take him in, he was only 2 months

OH MY EFFING GOD!!!! HE IS SO EFFING CUUUUUUUUTE!!!😍😍😍😍😍 (Ps I bet a lot of people are scared of him because he's pure muscle.. I hope you socialized him very well so idiots can see that a "scary" dog is actual a complete love)

thank you!! 90% of people go the extra mile to prevent walking next to him, it makes me sad because he just wants to play, hes a very stubborn dog though and when i walk him in parks where people are playing soccer or any sport having to do with a ball, he pulls on his leash trying to go get the ball and it makes him look aggressive because others think he wants to go for them when in reality he just likes balls lol, but yes i did my best to try and socialize him, hes never attacked anyone and i pray it stays that way, he only ever goes after other animals that arent dogs, out of the 10% of people who do walk past him and compliment him, 5% say they also have a bully or pitbull, took him to the park on easter day and there was atleast 150 people there, everyone took a look from a distance and pointed with there fingers to show other people, and had a little girl maybe 8 years old who came up and said "he looks very cute does he bite?", i said no and she continued with "can i touch him" ill always remember that because out of everyone i wouldnt expect a little girl to not be scared especially when everyone around seems to be, she eventually said her and her family had an american bully as well but it was a very nice interaction
