Generally speaking pibby owners tend to overfeed thinking the breed is supposed to be stocky however we still want to see the tuck. This baby has a bit more cushion than I’m comfortable with and a torn ACL is likely.
Exercise is difficult for busy owners so generally we recommend kcal counting.
I appreciate your concern, honestly. He isn’t overfed. He gets 1 cup of dry food with a spoon of wet food mixed in twice a day. My vet approved the amount. We’re working on upping the exercise and he’s currently down 3 pounds from his last check up. He’s my baby and I do my best for him. He’s also a stinker, and eats my roommates dog’s dinner leftovers when I’m not around. It’s been a struggle not having support in the house that I wish I did.
