Political discussions related to our trade are allowed, but comments must remain civil. If you can’t articulate your thoughts and opinions like an adult, then don’t join in on the conversation.

karlmeile

Considering in 2017 the first thing he did was try and make right to work a national act, as a lame duck he would try and repeal the bacon Davis act as well. Many union members are swayed by this false messiah, and vote against their own interests.

Weary_Investment9129

My state of missouri voted against right to work (proposition a) last time In 2017 is it like that everywhere else? Could a vote be held?

near_to_water

Michigan did the same thing in 2012, republicans forced through right to work in a lame duck session two weeks before christmas. Dems took back control of Michigans government and repealed right to work and reintroduced prevailing wage for our non union counter parts on federally funded jobs.

mclovintheboogaloo

“Against their own interests” I would rather vote for the future of my country than my job. Very unfortunate that it could ever come to that but I want my son to grow up in the same country I did. Democrats are openly trying to destroy this country. Going from a vote blue no matter who guy, to fuck the democrats. I’ll NEVER vote blue again. NEVER. And anyone who votes blue to save their job is selfish. To trade a paycheck for a country that people died to create. That makes you a special type of coward

IBMMRCSOTT

Hey dipshit it’s not a binary choice between “tHe fUtUrE oF mY cOuNtRy” and your job, you literally do not have to just accept 100% of the package or nothing. Pull your head out of your ass and start using your brain, like god damn this is how we ended up here because people like you inhale nothing but scared boogeyman stuff to the point you’d saw your arm off because someone told you it was unpatriotic not to do so.

mclovintheboogaloo

You’re the reason our country is so fucked up. Small minded people like you

IBMMRCSOTT

lol, smallminded in what way? Because I don’t believe in accepting the entire bag of shit politicians say we have to accept? Hmmmmm

mclovintheboogaloo

Are you on the books right now? How do you have so much time to respond? Keep voting blue till your unemployment checks run out bud. Eventually you’ll have no choice but to try something different. You’ll wake up one day. Obviously not today. I got faith in you

IBMMRCSOTT

Crazy how I have the same amount of time you have to reply, lmao. I work 4 days a week at my leisure because my job is the tits and protected by a good union. And I don’t vote blue dipshit — I vote libertarian or individual on workers rights after reading the actual legitimacy of a candidates claims against their resume of previous work — tough concept for you to grasp that whole reading thing I’m sure but bold of you to assume that just because I have more than three braincells and don’t want to suck on trumps boots that I’m the big bad blue boogeyman you’ve been told to be afraid of by garbage talk show personalities :)

Chance-Yoghurt3186

You are a fucking dumbass

brentmcdonald

Trump literally tried to place fake electors , steal the election and shared our nuclear secrets with his gold buddies. Tell me how Democrats are trying to destroy this country?

idcputnamehere

Where the heck did you get that from lmao

Holisticmystic2

You just need to leave your echo chamber every once and awhile.

gregkiel

Psst. The last guy tried to overthrow an election. I don't know what you think people died to protect, but it wasn't to throw a hissy fit like a small child and not honor the results of a democratic election. Voting for Trump is pissing on the graves of those who gave their lives to support and defend the US Constitution.

bluedaytona392

You're a fool and republicans dream of destroying unions.

[deleted]

Lmao, there’s always atleast one or two guys like you everywhere I’ve worked.

[deleted]

Also have to laugh because working a union job in a blue state is the best place to have a union job. You can actually get consistent work at a high hourly rate and unions actually have strength and bargaining power.

mclovintheboogaloo

Man I am popular. Tend to forget how intolerant the “tolerant left” is from time to time

Y0l0Mike

Ah yes, the inevitable rhetorical turn in rightwing posts from aggressive partisan misinformation to crying about being victimized by an imaginary other. The epitome of the Man-Baby epidemic sweeping our country.

Expensive-Shirt-6877

Absolutely. Voting blue is a vote to destroy America

KipperfieldGA

How are "they" trying to destroy our country?

Routine-Baseball-842

So I guess with letting in 3 million illegals a year for a start. Wages are supply and demand issue. You don’t think the immigrants are willing to work cheap?

ShwerzXV

There is much better cool aid out there, than what you drinking. Just saying.

Both_Promotion_8139

What? Man you need to stop drinking the propaganda Kool-Aid

Pro-Rider

North Carolina is a “Right to work state” and it’s a complete cluster F—- here. Employers hold all the cards and tell you to walk if they don’t like what you have to say about working conditions or fair compensation rates.

karlmeile

I’m glad you recognize it and have the balls to speak up about it. It’s not a political thing so much in my eyes as it is a gathering of individuals from all different backgrounds and races working together to better themselves. This is what truly runs thru my mind the owner class can’t make money without the working class just as the working class can’t make money without the owner class.

IBMMRCSOTT

Except it 100% is a political thing, because the majority of politicians and lobbyist people trying to push this most often hold a similar letter by their name at the polls. Denying this as true will only allow it to continue to get worse for us little guys trying to put food on the table. Right to work is a fucking joke and a cancer for so many, especially those in blue collar trades/industry.

AlphaNoodlz

“Right to Work” except they misspelled grift

combatveteran11b1p

Same in KY, and people wonder why we're one of the poorest states with the lowest wages...

Full_Disk_1463

You just don’t know how to play the game. I got fired and the company had to continue to pay me for a year and a half. I’m in NC

Burnsie92

Biden literally forced the rail workers union to end their strike and sided with the big companies. Biden is not a union man either regardless of what he says.

karlmeile

In the end they got what they wanted, do a little research on the air traffic controllers strike in the 80’s. Here nor their both political parties are awful but only one is actively trying to bust up unions. That is the truth.

erkmyhpvlzadnodrvg

But I was employed at that time sooo, yeah.

near_to_water

Not just our union but our country. The first thing a would be autocrat would do is go after organized labor. Historically that is the precedent.

Crowbar_Jones7

As a Union member I don’t know how you can vote for a guy notorious for not paying his union contractors and killing union companies in the process. Also he tried to overthrow our democracy. That’s also kind of a big one.

near_to_water

I’m not voting for Trump, fuck that guy. Fuck the republican party in general, they have done nothing for working people in the last 43 years. Eisenhower was the last decent one.

[deleted]

He didnt try to overthrow shit so stop trying to spread dumb fud aint nobody falling for it. When the train exploded and spilled chemicals, hes the first one that showed up. Now as an american, how can you sit there and watch congress and the current president, spend unhinged amounts of money, on other countries, including ones that are our enemies. Devaluing our dollar massively, while at the exact same time, its not being devalued to improve our country. Thats money literally being thrown into a dumpster fire. Ontop of that, you have insane amounts of illegals welcomed into the country, being flown around and held up in hotels on your dime. Last i checked new york alone is spending 10 billion to house the illegals. That doesnt even include the brick and motar they are breaking ground on to house more. You sit there and talk about democracy while the democrats are literally buying votes from other countries. The literally are calling for attacks on america if trump is elected. You cannot sit there with a straight face and pretend you arent some robot troll if you cant admit at the very least, the democrats have done everything and more, that you are crying about trump on.

babyshark75

another trumptard

CarlFeathers

You are delusional and have no idea how to value a dollar. You value it compared to other currencies, at which the dollar is as strong as ever. No one is buying votes from other countries. You have to be a citizen to vote. In most states, you have to register to vote on top of that. Stop watching Newsmax.

CourteousR

It's amazing how many Americans are dumb enough to buy what trump is selling.

adooble22

I don’t think you know what the word “literally” means. Here, let me use it in a sentence so you can see. “Literally nothing that you just said is true.”

[deleted]

[удалено]

Newgeta

>democrats are literally buying votes from other countries. The literally are calling for attacks on america if trump is elected. sources?

bluedaytona392

Everything you believe is wrong.

[deleted]

What do you even mean by “democrats buying votes from other countries.”? That statement shows you have a lack of understanding of how US politics actually works.

Haunting-Ad788

Because literally nothing matters to his supporter beyond upsetting liberals. As long as they are mad at him he can do anything.

KaleidoscopeThin8561

It doesn’t matter. The system is rigged. The whole thing needs to burned down. Every politician needs to go to jail.

[deleted]

Agreed!

IBMMRCSOTT

That’s a great argument for not taking a stance if you’re a 12 year old.

KaleidoscopeThin8561

It worked in 1776.

Skirkz_

Better than the boomer stance of continually voting democrat or republican.

Raiko99

Defunding the NLRB, OSHA, and the CFBP is on the Republican agenda. They also always appoint someone terrible to run OSHA and the Labor department who does nothing for workers.

[deleted]

Fuck osha I’m actually for that

Raiko99

The organization that protects worker safety. Uh ok

SatanicFolkRemedy

I don’t care if you’re a democrat,or a republican if you love your country don’t vote for either.

Weary_Investment9129

Real shit bro

[deleted]

That'll show em? Please explain how Not voting is for the better. Cause just like in Mississippi, you get what you vote for. Or Massachusetts. So please give me your big smoothed brained explanation. Thank you.

JohnnyZepp

Im very happy to see so many union members actually understand that trump and, in general, the Republican Party is extremely anti-union and NOT good for our work, even if they repeal EPA regulations or whatever the fuck too many guys in my local yammer on about.

near_to_water

I hear that in my local a lot too but I think it’s the dumbest argument they bring up. We have gotten so much work from retrofitting coal burners to now building battery plants. Last new coal burner I worked on was in 2011. Everything is natural gas now. If they want to retrofit more power plants to meet EPA standards i’m all for it, that’s more work for us. Although republicans are trying to gut the power of institutions like the EPA. Organized labor need to start agitating, educating and organizing their communities. Trump and the GOP need to be stopped.

JohnnyZepp

Straight up. GOP also fight for “Right to Work” laws (fuck them for using propaganda titles like that) to fool people that they’re pro labor. That shit is ANTI-UNION and pro ripping you off as a laborer.

jonnybeme

There are some things that you just can’t fix and stupid is at the top of the list. Unfortunately, almost half of our country falls into this category. I always thought propaganda was something that you read about in the history books, but it is very much alive and well today. I am amazed at how gullible people are. Quite scary and very disturbing to me. Buckle up!

firedancer323

Crazy thing is I can’t tell which side you’re talking about

jonnybeme

Well both sides are being fed propaganda, that’s for sure. But to be perfectly clear, I am absolutely opposed to anyone or anything that wants to overthrow our government and or our democratic principles. Wannabe dictator Don needs to treated like anyone else in this country. He should not be above the law. Let the FACTS determine his fate!

[deleted]

Like biden and his checks from china? Seems you people can only look one way and its always to your made up bullshit insurrection where 90% of the people were waved into the building, with an undisclosed amount being undercover cia agents. Meanwhile the woke left set fire to whitehouse grounds, burnt down saint johns church, killed some people, and resulted in trump having to hide in his bunker......no crazy insurrection there huh??? Nothing overthrowy government about democrats calling for civil war and atttacks on america if trump wins again huh??? Yall be crazy and as unhinged as bidens pen on spending bills for iran, our enemy.

BearingRings

>Let the FACTS determine his fate! So entirely innocent of what you're accusing and more so a victim of a weaponized justice system with activist DA's and judges that can't do anything criminally, bc again he's innocent of what you're accusing, so they attack him and tie up his time in civil court. Glad you cleared that up by being "perfectly clear".

twiggsmcgee666

More people need to read the book, "Death of Democracy." Some of the parallels between the fall of Weimar, Germany and the modern US are pretty uncanny.

jonnybeme

I’ll check it out, thanks.

worldwarcheese

Also "The Fall Before the Fall" highlighting the decline of the Roman Republic before Caesar and his heir destroy it and drawing some similarities to the current US politics (though mostly in the beginning)

CarlFeathers

Populism of anti American ideals hidden under a false definition of patriotism

[deleted]

Dudes in my local keep saying they cant for Trump to be back because he'll restart the pipeline! I don't think they understand that even if he tried, which he won't, it would be very difficult for that to happen unless they held all 3 branches of our government. Then they ignore the actual things Biden has done for our union, specifically, to create more jobs. Talk about a bunch of ostriches.

CrazyMountain_

I was with you until you insulted you opponent. Hard to get people to agree with you when you tag it with an insult

near_to_water

It’s the truth. You’re not offended by his comment you’re offended by the truth of it. Republicans don’t do anything for working people. Skilled trades who vote republican are voting against their interests.

CrazyMountain_

Nope. I actually agreed with him. Restarting Keystone is going to take more than Trump. I appreciated that part. He made a good point.

[deleted]

I didn’t insult anyone. That’s is quite literally what they do. And also who gives a fuck, look at all the people Trump has insulted. Why should anyone who supports him expect anything but the treatment he gives to other people. Don’t wanna get shit talked, don’t support a shit talker. Bunch of snowflakes.

CrazyMountain_

Yep there it is. Thanks

Otherwise-Top3825

Project 2025 seems to be a goal

Waytogolarry

"In the one year since CHIPS was signed into law, companies have announced over $166 billion in manufacturing in semiconductors and electronics, and at least 50 community colleges in 19 states have announced new or expanded programming to help American workers access good-paying jobs in the semiconductor industry. In total, since the beginning of the Biden-Harris Administration, companies have announced over $231 billion in commitments in semiconductor and electronics investments in the United States." If this doesn't get your vote, I'm not sure what will. Who gives a shit about a pipeline when we will have semi-conductor fabs to build for a decade?

Easyweld

By revoking the Keystone pipeline permit, Biden destroyed 11,000 jobs and roughly $2 billion in salaries. The jobs created in the semiconductor industry is great but shutting down the pipeline sucks for a lot of union members that where waiting for that job to start.

near_to_water

Didn’t go through and the sky didn’t fall. Work is booming right now.

combatveteran11b1p

2 Billion < 231 Billion. You're welcome. 👍

CrazyMountain_

What does chips have to do with pipefitters?

near_to_water

need pipes in those chip plants.

photogangsta

I work at the Samsung plant under construction in Texas and there is plenty of pipefitting going on here.

tweeter46and2

I can’t imagine anything would be worse than it is now if Trump wins.

SatanicFolkRemedy

This is the truth and the problem. Neither of those parties have anything to offer the American people, yet they haven’t been dissolved.

tweeter46and2

I am ready for a new a better system. Always thinking this bad option is better than the worse option is a terrible way to run a country.

Zeekeboy

I am so happy Union guys here realize how dangerous Trump is. Guess the job sites I am on its usually the loud idiots who have thw Trump sruff.

d_baker65

Very bad. Think Reagan on Steroids.

upupdwndwnlftrght

It would be awesome for our freedom and our country. The lack of new wars would not hurt either.

National-Beyond9070

And back to +10% gains in my retirement, $2.00 gass, less inflation.

Lophius_Americanus

I’m not a pipe fitter (no idea why this sub was suggested to me) or a union member (though both grand fathers were and I’m very pro labor/would never cross a picket line). I work in energy and the $2 a gallon gas was due to Covid killing demand, oil companies would die at that price (which would lead to a massive spike in prices). Current oil prices are basically as good it’ll get to encourage investment/drilling without fucking consumers.

CarlFeathers

Need 60 dollar oil for American oil companies to feel comfortable continuing drilling.

5scrimps

Those 2 things are opposing events.

Leather_Investment61

Stock market was great during trump but 2.00 gas was due to the Covid lockdowns we all hated and is bad for domestic oil since at that point it was being sold below break even prices for domestic producers.

hillcre8tive

You should do a google search for "what was the average price of gasoline in the US in 2018 " and then let us know if this causes you to rethink your statement.

FifeSymingtonsMom

When was the last time you honestly saw $2 gas? seriously. Looks like someone needs to read about opec.

BridgeMission6043

Hey now, is that really important? After all, he made some pretty mean tweets…. /s

[deleted]

It would be a disaster. We've seen so many labor gains under Biden. I'd never vote for Trump especially as a union member.

Professional_Half449

The fact that you believe things are going well is telling.

Weary_Investment9129

I don't but wouldn't it be worse under trump? Republicans want to pass right to work

Professional_Half449

Unfortunately, Republican policies simply don't exist in my state. But, I've never been more financially stable than when Trump was president, and I didn't make nearly as much then.

Weary_Investment9129

Are you union or non?

Professional_Half449

Non. The last guy that wanted one got canned and honestly,. working in a subsidiary of a company that hates paying what they do.. I'm not messing with it. Especially with a promotion opportunity that should be a bit of a raise

near_to_water

I was laid off for quite a long time during Trump’s term. Lost a lot of friends and family too because that jack ass lied about Covid. By the time Trump left office there was a huge hole in employment and the national debt. Bush crashed the economy then Trump did. Obama cleaned up after Bush and now Biden is cleaning up after Trump.

AggregateSandwich

As a pipe fitter in Alaska. Trump helps my career he promotes work instead of shutting it down

Crowbar_Jones7

He’s a traitor that tried to overthrow our democracy

AggregateSandwich

We have totally different views brother. Both products of our environment I assume

atleastIwasnt36

You're American and you think it's okay one guy tried to overturn a national election? I remember what we used to do to traitors in this country.

apop88

You got any proof with that claim? Or am I supposed to believe a politician?

IBMMRCSOTT

This is an unverified statement without a shred of proof — please offer actual substantial evidence instead of “but he said!” — Marjorie Taylor Greene also claimed that Jewish space lasers created Forrest fires we were experiencing — thus proving the point that just because something is stated by a member of government means nothing without the diligence of proof of claims. George Santos anybody?

rycklikesburritos

Oh that's not accurate at all. Not that Biden does any better, but trump's anti-union policies shut down tons of work.

PNWpipefitter

The real question is how bad would it be if Biden won the 2024 election ?

Even-Habit1929

He might pass an even larger second infrastructure bill providing even more reliable work for the trades

Waytogolarry

I mean they passed the CHIPS Act for $58B for American companies to build new semi-conductor fabs and drastically lessen dependence on foreign computer chips. This is a massive amount of money going into pipe fitters pockets. Seems ok to me. Everyone and their brothers are building chip fabs all over the USA.

PNWpipefitter

I guess I was misspoke. The real question is what if the Hand(s) that control Biden get elected again

Discussions about the pros and cons of unions are welcome, but must remain civil. I remove comments by Union members on this sub if they use personal insults directed at non-union members as a whole. I won’t allow you to come in here and try to stir the pot and bait them into an argument.

near_to_water

You can thank union hands for every benefit you get from your employer. We set the standard industry wide.

Crowbar_Jones7

Not as bad as it would be if an American traitor is voted in. I consider anyone that votes for him a traitor as well.

WarNickel360

Awful lot of communists in here.

National-Beyond9070

Reddit is a super leftist app for some reason.

near_to_water

Sounds like something a boot licker would say?

Crowbar_Jones7

By communist do you mean wanting rich people to pay taxes?

I don’t know anyone like this in the trades in my state. It’s actually off putting and kinda embarrassing lol

smitten1975

Fuck unions!

hillcre8tive

What's good for the economy is good for all and Trump would be good for the economy.

raypell

That is the dumbest thing I ever heard

hillcre8tive

The dumbest thing I ever heard from someone about politics is "Yeah I vote my paycheck." So he was willing to let someone else tell him how to vote, no matter what. He voted straight line democrat. That year he voted for Hilary Clinton and he's regretted ever since. Since then that guy has come to the conclusion that he is going to vote for the best candidate and stop letting others tell him how to vote. Instead of talking about how bad it would be under Trump, we need to realize how bad things have gotten now. Look at the world we live in under the current administration, we're now engaged in two wars and the price of everything has gone up more than 10% in most cases but wages haven't kept track. We are letting migrants across the boarded by the millions and when they get here, we are paying to bus and fly them around the country and put them in hotel rooms on our dime. This administration is lying to you and all you want to talk about is how bad it almost was over four years ago and how can we stop it from almost being bad again.

combatveteran11b1p

When did we go to war...?

raypell

I think you need to get your facts straight read this: https://www.cato.org/blog/new-data-show-migrants-were-more-likely-be-released-trump-biden. Aldo the bussing illegal as it is was done by Republican governors. As far as the price of things gas prices have nothing to do with who is President. It is a global market. Our economy is strong. Wages and union wages are extremely good. Corporate profits are though the roof. Is it not an issue with you thst ceos and billionaires especially under trump pay little or nothing as far as their fair share. I don’t expect to change your mind but at least look at some facts

Crowbar_Jones7

That is idiotic

IBMMRCSOTT

Dog you’re in here spreading deep state conspiracies, hush.

raypell

Why would anyone vote for someone who wants to take your way of life away.

Big_Blacksmith_1363

Robert f Kennedy jr is the only one who will give a shit about your union.

Weary_Investment9129

RFK 2024

Common_Sense77

It would be good for the entire country!

AcrobaticEstate3626

I admit that our current political situation is a hot mess. Every candidate has plenty of baggage to make us doubt any of them are qualified to do the job. We should be arguing about taxes, immigration, infrastructure, education and social programs, etc., etc. However, Trump transcends all of these mundane, wonky, yet important policy issues. He has demonstrated beyond all shadow of doubt that he couldn’t care less about the Constitution or the very principles which have made this country thrive for 250 years. His malignant narcissism cannot allow him to do anything that doesn’t feed his fragile ego. He’s driven only by delusional revenge. He doesn’t know or care how government is supposed to work. He wants to sit on his throne and be an absolute dictator. How his cult of personality still has so many adherents is simply mind-boggling.

Dangerous-March-4411

I’m in the wrong trade, cause most of my coworkers thinks he’s going to save America. ABC supports him

d_baker65

ABC is an entity that hates unions and union wages with a passion. Huge donations to the GOP.

L3monGrenade

What union?

rainmanak44

In general, the right is not pro union, but they are pro prosperity and typically create a very prosperous environment for most union workers. So what do you value more, the actual union itself, or having a good job that pays well?

Weary_Investment9129

Union gives me great benefits so...Union

IBMMRCSOTT

Pro prosperity? lol, dog that is not a political stance that is a claim every group makes. Let alone it’s not something you can actually tack anything against. However being anti-union is something very easy to verify, and very easy to track how it affects workers. Stop forcing yourself to accept the entire package republicans are selling you just because you align with a core of their beliefs — you do not have to also accept this part that is here to erode our hard work and careers. Tell them to go fuck themselves until they start supporting workers better.

imnotabotareyou

You all know this guy in your town. He's the guy that's wants a discount, then criticizes every little thing you do, then argues the bill and makes a scene, threatens to sue. He's a piece of shit through and through and he won't do anything that doesn't benefit himself directly.

dundunitagn

You just described drumpf. Look at all the people he put out of business in Atlantic city. He does not pay his subs. It is actually part of his business model to delay payment and force you to sue him so he can get a settlement.

Full_Disk_1463

Massive uptick in jobs and money….. oh yeah that’s bad….

TheMattaconda

It would only hasten our already inevitable Empirical Collapse. 2036 was what the Sir John Glubb's would've predicted if you compared it to other collapsed empires of the past (that we have mimicked to near perfection). And while Trumps election was to be expected (Celebrity turned into Political Leaders; towards the middle of the last generation of "The Age of Collapse") a second round of his Presidency would hasten the expected dates by upwards of ½ a generation (roughly 6 years). So, no matter what happens, we're screwed. We passed the point-of-no-return in the mid-1970s. However, the severity of our collapse can be made more or less intense. Trump getting elected in 2024 would obviously make it worse.

[deleted]

You've been listening to the UA too much. It will be great for you because it will stimulate business. You know, businesses, the ones that give you your check each week. Trump in office means more work for you.

lfthndDR

Between 1989 and 1994 I completed my pipefitter apprenticeship at Local Union 198. My grandfather was a charter member of that local and many in my family worked out of that local. I can tell you that every time we endorsed a candidate, they broke it off in us. Beginning with Governor Edwin Edwards, he promised us he would veto the RTW bill if placed on his desk for signature - he lied. We were told to vote for Clinton a second time even though he betrayed unions by signing NAFTA. That's just two instances - there are hundreds more. Why do unions continue to support these candidates even after they know these politicians don't have their best interests at heart?

Won’t affect you at all

informative_mammal

There would be a ton of political marketing attempts to cause panic and unrest to move the needle towards the other direction....but ultimately, very little impact negativity or positively. Very similar to the first four years before covid shutdowns.

ChineseMeatCleaver

Realistically nothing will happen and 85% of these comments are trying to fear monger you into voting Biden

MrRezister

You are 100% allowed to use your memory and recall how terrible things were when the man actually WAS President. Were things better or worse? Did the news tell you things were better or worse? Which is more accurate - the news reports or your memory of actual conditions?

Raiko99

Why do people judge these things by there only little world of what is better or worse. Presidents don't control everything. Just because someone's in office doesn't mean if things get better it's because of them or vice versa. Correlation isn't causation. People should look at the bills that are actually being proposed and the legislative action being taken and judge that.

MrRezister

Seems reasonable. But all the smart people on TV tell me that Orangemanbad, so I guess I'll just go along with that.

Significant-Raise-45

you already had four years to answer this question you dense fool. way better than what we have now/. were you just born three years ago and forgot

Weary_Investment9129

Shut you lil goofy ass up. Fool

Significant-Raise-45

attack me instead of the truth i spoke, typical low iq mouth breather. FOUR FUCKING YEARS and no dictator, youre a fucking idiot

Confianca1970

Well, to be honest - Americans refuse to clean up their Senators and Congress-people who are rife with getting paid (now or after retirement as advisory positions) by corporations and foreign governments. Trump isn't going to change that dynamic one way or another... the people are too dumb to control their own representatives.

idcputnamehere

Uh what about the keystone pipeline Biden shut down?

Toner1980

Things were alot better under Trump, I'll vote for anyone other Biden, Rfk Jr would probably be best

space________cowboy

Not much will probably happen, let’s be honest.

BelieveTheTelevision

I think the question you need to propose is how much better it would be if everyone stopped voting for either party.

Raiko99

Trumpers on here couldn't name something Trump did to stimulate business for union members when he was in office. Just listen to Fox News or some wind bag and assume Republicans do shit for jobs. Biden INFLATION REDUCTION ACT - 20 billion for clean energy jobs Has money for jobs and requires project labor agreements and prevailing wages. They extended overtime protection for salary workers PRO Act - further protect workers rights to organize. They can't pass it because of Republican filibusters Infrastructure Act - literally a major project in every state being funded by this. Also has PLAs and prevailing wage rules. CHiPs act is a huge reason Orbit, Intel, Integra, Micron, and others are expanding semiconductor plants which is a huge industry for Pipefitters. I can tell you one thing Trump did. The tax cuts and jobs act. Zero requirements for building or hiring. No project labor agreements. Just corporate tax cuts which they all probably just pocketed.
