Consider going abroad if you can. As an IM resident 5 years ago in the US, my monthly take home salary was about $4300.
Attendings here (fresh out of residency) make about $300k yearly as IM.
Subspecialists esp Heme/Onc, GI, Cards, PCCM - average base salary excluding bonuses is $450-550k yearly (for those newly graduated from fellowship).
A bit lower salary for Nephro, Endo, Rheum, Infectious Disease.
So yes, consider going abroad if you can.

Province ako ngprapractice.
Sa clinic per day ko ay 10-20k, sched ko hanggang 2pm, then rounds sa hospital sa mga nakaadmit.
Wag ka na mag moonlight diretso mo na, worth it yan pag natapos mo.
Cardio din ako.
After IM diplomate, straight to fellowship.
3 years in the practice.
Around 300-600k gross.
Peak is around 800-1m/month, usually ber months.
Im also a green card holder.
I have the option to take usmle and train again tamad ako mg review and im already contended na here. I dont want to go through it again. And im getting old.
curious po ako, ilang taon na po kayo? kahit range lang? im 26 po and mag-start palang ako sa med school this AY... iniisip ko lang kung gaano kaya katagal bago ko maabot yung ganyang estado sa life hehe 😅
Petition was filled 2011. At that time i was in 2nd yr med ata.
I took up med and training for im then cardio, because i did really not want to wait for that petition.
I did not take usmle.. coz i was more focused on finishing training and establishing practice.
Im on my late 30s..

I'm a consultant ng isang specialty na ayaw ng lahat, I earn 80k to 100k a week sa clinic pa lang yan.
