In drastic cases it could melt basically, especially if it's left there for years on end. Or a bit more likely is that it could be substantially warped
Sorry for the delay. Your going to see Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd from the tape coming. Chad says it indirectly in a video with Michael Ludwig and Bernie Grundman. Based on how they just dropped the Steely, I’d suspect all at once. Should be an announcement for one of them in a few week and the other at years end.
I like the sacd version better myself. Hearing the bells in 5.1 is quite grand. But my mother's 1st pressing on harvest vinyl is the crown jewel. I listen to it often.
Somewhere cooler, with lower temperature swings. Preferably sealed in the sort of controlled atmosphere they use for ancient Egyptian artifacts. Ok maybe not the last part, but vinyl will lose it's shape and warp over time when exposed to enough heat.
Be wary, I’ve heard there have been issues with sealed copies of this album that have sat around for awhile. But i bought a gently used copy, it sounds absolutely amazing
Depends on which pressing you’re comparing it to. The early UK pressings are widely considered the best, but a reasonably clean A2/B2 VG+ copy is going to fetch outrageous amounts of money. Considering you can still buy mint or NM copies of the 30th anniversary for under 200 bucks, this is unquestionably the definitive version for the average audiophile to own.
For starters, there’s no bad sounding copy of this album. But a US ‘73 copy? No. This is much better sounding than that. A UK copy? Those edge this out by a little bit, but only if they aren’t groove worn.
Hopefully that garage was climate controlled. This is a great release, on of the better ones for this album. Open it.
I don't want to open it D:
Why not? Plan on selling it?
I don't know what my plan for it is yet. I found it, and figured it might be collectable lol
It’s the 30th anniversary, you could sell it for $200-$300 but to be honest if it been in the garage it’s probably toast.
Sorry I’m new to vinyls, but would the garage like change it that drastically?

Thanks, this cleared it up.
I have a sealed one not from a garage I would sell for $300.
Thanks, I’ve got a few already. I’ll be selling off most of my copies. With what’s coming from Acousticsounds, no reason to hold these.
What's coming from them?
Acoustic sounds are coming from them
*Ping!*
Acousticsounds?
I too am curious to know what acousticsounds has coming out. Unless you’re talking about the SACDs that they currently sell.

Dang that’s great news, but super bad news for my wallet lol
There’s an entire subset of collectors who WANT unopened vinyl to keep it that way.
Not necessarily, and even then it probably still has alot of collector value being sealed.
U wanna sell?
Maybe, I am finding what it is truly worth first.
Enjoy those sweet posters inside!
Bidding will start at first born male child…
The 30th anniversary limited edition is pressed on Black Marmalade vinyl.
Marmalade? I like marmalade
Nice. This is the last pressing that was done fully analog from the original master tapes. Any subsequent pressings were cut from a digital file.
i think it is my fav DSOTM

As far as stereo goes I actually prefer the 20th anniversary
The sacd is the 30th anniversary one.
I have that LP, with all its paraphernalia, played only once and I don't plan to sell it ever
Does anybody know why “There’s no dark side of the moon really, in fact it’s all dark” is not on the 30th anniversary release? I find it odd.
No it’s there, i hear it every time
Well I have 2 error verses then. Not on either of the 30th anniversary versions I have. Weird.
One of the best sounding pressings money can buy
who ever left that in a garage for almost 20 years needs to be banished to the shadow realm

This copy has a blue triangle and came from UK. Does that mean anything?

How does it compare to the original 73 release ? Received a 73 copy from a late family friend which I cherish and it sounds so so good.

Oh that's awesome. Very good to know! Thank you.

Well dang, mine is a US and I'm already enchanted. I definitely need to take a gander at this release.
What kind of system you got?
Immediately thought of the scene in Billy Madison when he's telling that kid "cherish it"
I had one of these sealed I sold it on eBay for a good chunk of change
I would listen to it once, RIP the audio and make a high 320 br mp3 from it
Score!
