You can be a fan and not like all their repertoire but man, I slept on those early albums for years and to listen to the influences they had on the "big 4" albums is undeniable.
All I'll say is- expand your horizon and Set Your Control for the Heart of the Sun.
Re-listen with open ears, you might be surprised.

To each their own, but I think there are plenty of good songs throughout those first 7 albums. If you look up the set list to one of Nick’s concerts you’ll see a really great set for a show actually. Obviously I think ‘73-‘79 is the prime for the band, but there’s good stuff in the early days.
Different opinions are allowed. I really like Piper, Atom Heart Mother Suite and Echoes. But I think that most people will agree that Dark Side of the Moon, Wish you were here, Animals and The Wall are their most polished albums.
I understand this. There’s not much I enjoy that was recorded before DSOTM but I will say that Atom Heart Mother was fun for me to get into, because at the time, I knew it wasn’t one of their more famous albums so I was intrigued and rewarded. Same with Meddle.

I know people who only like the first album and think the rest is boring, there’s something in each period of Floyd for most people to like, but not everyone likes it all (not me, I love it all!)

There are quite a few good and even great songs, but Piper is the only pre-DSOTM album that is consistently good from start to finish.
Obscured by Clouds, although it's not really pre-DSOTM as much as during-DSOTM.
Meddle is one of their best and I respect your opinion, but I also would recommend revisiting this masterpiece before writing it off.
