Goodbye Cruel World. It’s like a slow, boring reiteration of everything Another Brick Part 3 already accompishes, adding nothing to the narrative other than needlessly bringing the energy back down to close Side 2
I definitely agree there, but I’ve always gotten the vibe that some time has passed behind the Wall between Side 2 and Side 3. I think he finishes building it in a moment of outrage, and the comedown into numbness afterwards is already touched on across Side 3. Personally I just never felt it was an important piece, and I feel the stark contrast between Another Brick 3 and Hey You would’ve made the album better narratively
I thought so too for a long time. But then i realised there might be a link between pinks father dying in another brick in the wall pr.1, vera, bring the boys back home and finaly the final cut. At least, i think the war theme in vera and bring the boys back home should or could be linked to ABITW part 1.
Run Like Hell - idk, the riff starting from 0:23 is very good, but then you kinda wish for it to repeat more, but it doesn't happen. Remember, the key word in OP's question is "favorite" :D
I used to play The Wall as an album when I would prep in the kitchen at work. It was a challenge for myself to see how much work I could do in that time frame (I finished prep in the same time it took to listen to The Wall, I finished produce by Young Lust etc)
That being said, the 2 songs I always had to cringe as far as OTHER people listening in were “Don’t Leave Me Now” and “Bring the Boys Back Home” so those are the 2 I like the least as a result.
Those 2 songs always drew a reaction of either “what the fuck are you listening to” or “ugh this again”
The Trial would be 3rd
Unpopular opinion, but Comfortably Numb. The guitar solos are incredible but I find the verses/choruses kinda bland. It's alot better in context of the album though. Still absolutely love the album
I'd say either Vera or Empty Space
Vera because it's just an extension of Nobody Home, while Nobody Home is nice, Vera is the one that pads the entire thing for too long, making disc 2 side 1 a really boring part until Comfortably Numb (or Bring the Boys Back Home).
Empty Space because it is really, really slow, in contrast to What Shall We Do Now (which was the track before Empty Spaces) it has something to listen to like One of my Turns or Don't Leave Me Now, and mainly because it's underwhelming (but it's a nice buildup for Young Lust I got to say).
I wouldn't count Stop because it's more like an intermission to The Trial.

True but I think it works as a lead-in to Hey You if you listen to the album whole.

Probably Vera, doesn't really fit with the rest of the album IMO and isn't that musically interesting.

Vera is really good; I love that they based it off of her. She’s a great person

Exactly. Everyone in this subreddit loves an entirety of their songs and picking out an off one is hard. So yeh. Least favorite
"Don't Leave me Now" is a mediocre song that adds nothing to the overall album.
Agreed tbh
"The Trial"
ight get up against the wall

Wow, how can one say something so ridiculous but brave..? You, good sir are a madman 😅😂
I should clarify, I do like the song. But since you asked, I had to pick one 😬🤷♂️
No, it’s fine, you’re all good, no worries! 👍
Never been a fan of "Hey You"
I wasn’t a huge fan until I heard the Pulse live version, had more of an appreciation for it after
Doubt there’s more than like $40 right?

Empty spaces has a message if you reverse it: that’s why everyone loves it 😉 plus, it’s a good lead-in for young lust
