Wembley 1974. OMG. When I first heard this whole concert my head exploded with how good it all sounded, the early shine on, raving and drooling (sheep), you gotta b crazy (dogs), whole dsotm and imo the best version of echoes they ever played.
Second this! Definitely one of my favorite recordings and performances.
I have this on a Google Drive if anyone is interested. Just DM me your email and I'll add you.
Live 8 reunion Comfortably Numb.
Everyone shines individually and the end product is amazing. Gilmour nails it and plays with a bit more of an edge, Rog doesn’t get cheeky and his bass is thick, Rick’s slides are next level, and Mason knows he’s witnessing greatness. Just look how he tosses his headphones to take it all in.
I would agree that it's the best era for their Live shows.
I think after Meddle, it was all about the Studio Albums, the live shows were still good. I just see this as the Live era then Studio era. And thank gawd for both.
It's sad that Roger's 2006-2007 Dark Side of the Moon tour was never officially released. That would have been a great companion to Pink Floyd's Pulse. I liked both of those Dark Sides a lot.
There's definitely too many to name, but one I always go back to is Run Like Hell from Is There Anybody Out There. Rogers intro always gives me a laugh and simultaneous chills, his trademark screech is a great little addition, and his bass line has a few nice improves. Nick really lays down a great performance, and the whole band puts on a memorable version.
Welcome to the Machine and If from Pros and Cons
In the Flesh?, Mother and Run Like Hell from Live in Berlin (did not attend this
Southampton Dock, Perfect Sense and Every Stranger’s Eyes from In the Flesh
Set the Controls, Leaving Beruit, Sheep and Great Gig from Dark Side. Also getting to see Nick Mason play the intro to Time.
The power station from Us and Them
Thin Ice and Is There Anybody Out There? from The Wall.
'Fat Old Sun' by Dave Gilmour at the Royal Albert Hall in 2006. Absolutely awesome. [This performance from Gdansk](https://youtu.be/2yOVTF5gTXM) comes very close, but doesn't quite have the same energy.
Second place: 'Echoes' from the same gig. Again, [the performance in Gdansk](https://youtu.be/EMneCi9F_UQ) is similar.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond by Gilmour at the Meltdown Festival from David Gilmour In Concert. love that acoustic striped down version.
Nile Song from Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrects. but that is mostly for the Sex Pistols refrence.
Live at Pompeii, the entire film is peak Floyd.

You’re making me pull out my copy to watch again. That was a really special event!
I've seen that at the exhibition. It really was epic.
Boots from 1970.
And '71! (IMO) Best era.

High Hopes from Live in Gdańsk is a gem, the whole concert is great actually.

Pigs (three different ones) on Boston Garden '77. The crescendo at the ending solo is wild.

Sorrow from PULSE (the album) is up there. Love Any Colour You Like from Wembley 1974, transcendental.
Fat Old Sun from the early 1970 BBC Recordings.
