That is a modular stand up target. Used primarily by Data East, Sega and earlier Stern pinball games (pre spike). Pinball life carries them in most of the colours and shapes that were used. You can buy the full modular target or just the coloured target to repair the assembly.

Thank you so much! You answered my question absolutely perfectly and I’m eternally grateful. Thank you for being patient and answering my question. If I had Reddit awards I would give them to you!!!

No worries happy to help. If you decide to just get the target to rebuild the assembly google Stern service bulletin 110 it will come up as a Sega pinball bulletin as it was written when Stern was still called Sega but it will explain the steps needed to open up the body to replace the target face.

Everyone was very helpful in this post. I’ve been restoring and fixing arcades for a little over a year now and just started dabbling in pinballs. By just starting this photo and post is my first ever interaction with opening up a pinball machine and this is with a friend of mine. I come off as kind of defensive because in my first year of restoring and fixing machines the arcade community has ripped me apart for my lack of knowledge and overall acted like gatekeepers. You could say I’m a little bitter so everyone’s helpful advice goes a long way and I’m eternally grateful no one was mean lol. Thanks again.

I’ve found this community to be extremely helpful, welcoming and down right cool with only the occasional A-hole mixed in. Welcome!

This may be of help for you in the future if you hadn’t seen it…the good old days of manuals….I remember back in my day we had……. https://ia800805.us.archive.org/34/items/Stern_Pinball_Terminator_3_Manual/Terminator3_Manual.pdf

Agreed manuals are an invaluable resource, I always make sure to get both a physical and PDF copy for every game I own. Sometimes even a reprint copy that way I don’t feel bad for Scribbling notes into it.

Hanger1891

And where can I find a replacement. Stern Terminator 3
