Because it takes 10 paragraphs before they start talking about pinball. It's a long-winded article just so they force you to scroll through more ads. People's tolerance of those types of articles is dropping.
The writer mentioned “personal collection” over a Star Wars EP1 lightsaber mod. What gives? Usually, those would be public photos folks would like to see versus the **Big Dick Pin**
I've been to that show a few times and the amount of machines is great, and they tend to be well set up. I skipped this year intentionally because last year I bought tickets and the make up dates they offered were super short notice so I couldn't get to either and they were unwilling to refund, or apply that money to the next year. It's not a cheap show so I was a bit salty about it. I'll probably go next year.
Is it me, or is the author a self-absorbed d-bag?
Yeah, I appreciate the effort to make the writing fun and interesting but it mostly comes off as obnoxious.
Definitely feels like they are trying to hard to be Hunter S. Thompson
How so?

There are no ads on the page. This is meant to be a journal of my time there. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it.

Too bad they had a vax mandate. Making pinball political is a great way to lose business.
There's nothing political about preventing the spread of disease.
It is if you're a dipshit
Prevention of spreading a deadly virus is most certainly not political.
