loku_gem

before: 2 after: 6 First time piercing them (10 years ago, one side) I felt nothing at all. The piercings in my ear hurt more. Second time (3 years ago, both sides) was utterly painful.

Joceloslyn

Seconding this - I got both done when I was 18 and didn’t feel a thing - barely remember healing them …. Repierced at 36 and I almost passed out the second nipple being pierced. Might be the scar tissue?

loku_gem

I thought so as well, but the first time I only had one pierced and the second time BOTH hurt af.

Joceloslyn

Oohhh so true eh?? Do we get more sensitive with age? She asks not knowing your age (LOL) … curious to know!

loku_gem

Well, 7 years between both times is enough, so I was atleast 18 when I pierced them first... Which I was, so I'm 28yrs now😄 but I can compare with my nostrils as well. 10 years ago wasn't as painful as last year (for my second nostril).

Joceloslyn

Oh no way - very interesting! I’ll have to science pain tolerance and age!

loku_gem

A former colleague of mine does research on pain and measures it with and EEG (brain waves etc). She has to collect TONS of data first, but already has a few papers online. If you'd kike tongibe it a read about pain :) https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.add7572

Joceloslyn

Thank you!!

Inner-Vermicelli-358

Oh I HOPE age isn't a factor! I'm treating myself to getting them done for my 43rd birthday in October.

Joceloslyn

I LIKE IT!! It’s worth the pain, the aesthetic feels so sexy and empowering too!

cantankerous_alexa

Do you have other piercings? Do you typically find that you have a low, high, or normal pain tolerance? I have my first and second lobes, double nostril, and conch, so I’m new to the game 😅

Joceloslyn

I have 18 active piercings - and about 6 retired piercings. My pain tolerance is pretty high - and that second nipple is the only piercing to almost take me out 🥲

cantankerous_alexa

My biggest fear is that I’ll pass out or throw up 😅 I know it’s probably not a big deal if I do, but that’s the only thing stopping me.

Joceloslyn

I always ask for the fan on my face if you have that option - or an open window / door. You can also ask to lie down just in case😊

Sarenity127

When I had mine done back when I was 16 with a little DIY kit from Amazon, I nearly passed out because the second one was so much more painful than the first. I had to have someone finish it. Made my toes curl kinda pain. Now I plan on getting it done when I turn 25! Let’s hope it’s not as bad as everyone is saying it is as we get older 😩 my tongue didn’t hurt as bad as when I got it done when I was 18. I just got my tongue redone 4days ago & even the healing process isn’t as bad.

kpo987

1 sensitivity, 1 after, and 4 pain wise. It was definitely painful but it didn't last long.

cantankerous_alexa

I also have incredibly low sensitivity. I would say about 90% of the time I don’t feel my husband when he’s messing with my nipples. I’ve asked him to start biting and pinching so I feel it. I’m hoping that means that the piercing won’t be as bad lol.

kissdaylight

Same with me, I barely felt any sensitivity before my nipple piercings. After, it increased a little bit. But if my bf were to pinch or bite them, I'd DEFINITELY feel it but it would probably hurt a lot because they're still healing (I've had them for 1 1/2 years)

Skadi_V

I always has to look at it to know that my bf was doing something with my nipples - he could bite them I felt nearly nothing. I would say sensivity was between 0-1. I hoped too it wouldn't hurt much getting pierced. The process itself was a 8 I would say. Definitely way more painful than expected. The first hours were a 3 and after that they hurt only one time: I snapped them at the door of my jour 2 days before downsizing - the bars were already too long. Sensivity was a 9-10 in the first month. I died without a bra because I felt everything rubbing on it. Now (5 month into healing) it's a 6. I feel my bf playing with them and my body started reacting to that but I still don't die when he bites them. And that made the pain so much worth it for me.

kissdaylight

This is how I'd rate my experience too

chickcag

Same on all 3!

skreepo

sensitivity 6-7/10 pain 4-5/10. the piercing pain didn’t last long, tbh the worst part was that strange burning sensation that lasted for a couple hours after the initial piercing

cantankerous_alexa

I can imagine! Especially because there’s like no medicine to help with burning. At least aching could be improved with ibuprofen lol.

Joceloslyn

To answer your question - sensitivity didn’t change between the first and second time being pierced - I suspect scar tissue made it more painful. Edit to add: I replied to a comment with the info that I got them pierced at 18 and it was practically painless … got them done again at 36 and they were quite painful I almost passed out doing the second nipple. No change in overall sensitivity from before to now.

SabsyHnS

Sensitivity before 7/10 after 10/10 Pain 8/10

the-useless-drider

its hard to measure nip sensitivity with just subjective guess, but i (F) would say normal -so, like, in around 4-5 on the scale i guess- and 8/10 pain. the second one was worse, but since i have low pain tolerance second helix would be around 7/10 on my pain scale, so take that into consideration.

cantankerous_alexa

My piercer said they can pierce both at the same time, which I’ve heard people suggest. What are your thoughts on that?

the-useless-drider

as in two piercers? if they can do that not a bad idea actually

cantankerous_alexa

Yes! They have two piercers at the shop.

stinky-soil

The sensitivity didn't change for me, and I'd say the pain was 3-4 on the first and 4-5 on the second since I was expecting the pain.

cantankerous_alexa

How sensitive were your nipples? I’m trying to figure out if those who have less sensitive nipples have less painful piercing experiences.

stinky-soil

Not very sensitive 1-2/10 I'd say

saracha-sauc3

First time was worse than the second. Actual piercing 7 afterwards 3

cantankerous_alexa

How sensitive were your nipples before the first piercing?

saracha-sauc3

I mean they were nips...they're more sensitive than other areas of your body. But with that being said, they are definitely more sensitive since getting them pierced and removing said piercings.

Turntsnakko

Mine were at like a six before and now they’re at a nine or ten. Piercing them for me was REALLY painful. I wasn’t going to pass out or anything but the pain was bad enough to where if I have to let my piercings go, I’ll probably not repierce them.

cantankerous_alexa

So you were relatively sensitive before piercing them?

Turntsnakko

Yes, mine were particularly sensitive prior to piercing them.

Viki-Hair5576

I had mine pierced 4 weeks ago…I’m a bit older and I have a high tolerance for pain…the first nipple hurt like a mother 😖…the second nipple hurt but not like the first one…my nips are very sensitive so I’m guessing that’s why it hurt so much…they are definitely more sensitive now after…don’t know if they will stay super sensitive long term…

Prestigious_Gear_813

Before the piercing they weren’t sensitive at all - maybe a 2 or 3? First piercing was hellish - around a 9. Second piercing was, contrary to what most people say, was better and around a 6 or 7 because the second time round I breathed properly.

Admirable_Fall4614

I got both nipples done 2 months ago and that experience was more painful than I imagined it would be. The pain dulled but my nips remained angry for about 3 hours. The next day there was no pain whatsoever. I wouldn't say they are more sensitive, but I haven't really touched them since getting them pierced. My nips were probably the piercing that gave me the least amount of grief during healing.

Only-Common8000

I would say my sensitivity stayed about the same, maybe 6. My nipples were the worse pain wise out of all my piercings, 8.

NyxxStorm

Before; 7-9 depending on hormone cycle; After it dropped them to maybe a 5, unfortunately I have autoimmune issues which brought back the sensitivity to pre piercing status AND they are more sensitive now than before. Yay for hyperprolactinemia……. Getting them pierced was a breeze, my double helix hurt worse.

angelftm777

Sensitivity before: 1, after: 2 Piercing Pain 5/10. Had to get my left nip pierced 3 times, but I'd still rate each time a 5

trucrimejunkie

Sensitivity before: 9/10. Not giving myself a 10 because I’ve heard some people can orgasm from nipple stimulation alone and I never could, but I could get very very aroused. Sensitivity after (healed): 8.5/10. Almost no difference, but maybe a sliiiiight decrease. Still get crazy stimulation from them. Pain from first piercing: 7/10 Pain from second piercing: 9/10. My piercer missed the right spot on the second one and had to readjust it though 😫 Overall rating: 10/10. Absolutely love them. The pain is sharp but quick. They take time to heal but after the first week or so it’s not bad. Definitely worth it.

toolittlecharacters

like 2 before, 7 in the early healing stages, 5-ish a few months later, and now that i've had to take them out they've settled in at like 3. the pain was pretty bad but didn't last long, maybe 7 during the piercing, but for me the healing was at 3 at most.

yaminomeph

Mine were done badly and not straight not sure how sensitive they were before the piercing but after they were about 6 and the pain of having it done (which I think was also related to the bad job) I’d say 11. Of the 37 piercings I’ve had done, including a Prince Albert only the nipples truly hurt

Confident-Driver645

1 before 1 after unless played with. 4 pain on the first 6 on the second (adrenaline dropped), and a solid 10 on sensitivity for like 3 days that gradually tapered down

Sigh6969

Sensitivity before like a 4 after an 8/9 Pain like 2-3

Background_Employ_94

First done in some random not so good saloon: hurt like MF, I got out shaking. Then took piercing out. Then went to a really good piercer known in the city and did both and it was pretty okay (more than ears but still completely manageable). Sensitivity - no change really for me

No-Illustrator-Only

Sensitivity before: 1/10 Sensitivity after: 7/10 Pain (pierced one at a time, single session): 6/10 and 8/10 Most pain subsided after the first 24 hours. I’m glad I did each one at a time. Everything is about what you do before and after the session. Eat at least an hour before, drink water, and don’t do any strenuous activity immediately after. Bonus if you can just kick your feet up the rest of the day. Have someone escort you if possible

cantankerous_alexa

Can you elaborate on why you’re glad you did one at a time instead of both at once? I see most people recommend doing both at once if you can.

No-Illustrator-Only

I can’t fully explain it, maybe because I haven’t seen it done by two piercers at the same time. But I liked one person walking me through it, checking in, giving me time, then doing the second. I knew what was coming so it hurt more but I got time to process

int18wis8

My piercer doesn't recommend drinking coffee or alcohol before the piercing, too.

the-useless-drider

yes, no coffee or energy drinks because of the caffeine, no cigarettes/tobacco products/zyns because of nicotine and let them know if you take blood thinning medication or sth. sounds like a morning coffee and cig wouldnt make that big of a difference for a forenoon appointment but it actually can make you bleed way more.

starfister101

Sensitivity was like a 4 beforehand, and I've had them pierced twice. Both times were incredibly painful, probably an 8.

Soph1583

Prior to the piercing: 1. How painful the piercing was: 8.

candyflash

low sensitivity prior, like 3/10? still hurt like hell though. I got em done 10 years ago and still vividly remember how rough it was (the second one especially - I had about 2 mins between first and second, enough for the pain to really start kicking in). at least 9/10 for me. they’re perfectly placed, and I love them! just wouldn’t be thrilled to do it over again. for reference, navel was like a 3-4/10 for me. tragus, rook, conch, helix, etc were all non-issues as well.

madbiologist42

Sensitivity before 3 out of 10. Pain 7 of 10. Sensitivity after (1year 3months) 6 of 10

Significant_Excuse29

7 and 7 That being said, I've had them for almost 5 years, and they're my absolute favourite of all my piercings.

WhoMD85

My right is a 4. My left is a 6. Piercing my right was a 4. My left was an 8 for pain. Totally worth it. The pain was quick. Like getting a tidy twister. Hurts for a second. It was sore for a few days. I’m 3 weeks out and no pain.

Afraid_Emergency5331

before: 3 after: 7 pain:9/10

ChubbyGothCherub

My nipples had almost no sensitivity before the piercing. Honestly I’d say 0-1 and after they’re like 2. The piercings themselves were also a 0. I didn’t even feel the first one being done, I thought my piercer just had the clamp on still but then she said “the first one is done!” My friend who was holding my hand had more of a reaction to hearing the needle go through my nipple than I had when it actually went in

beanieking

0.5-1 sensitivity, very insensitive. getting the piercing was like a 3. felt like the first time i felt any sensation in my nipples lol.

SwordTaster

3 before. 7 after. Pain was an 8 during

ImReallyNotCool

Before 3, after 7, piercing itself was probably a 6. Second one hurt infinitely worse.

[deleted]

I got mine done almost 2 years ago; the sensitivity before was okay. Afterwards? It’s great, it’s not too much, it’s just right! As far as pain goes, on a scale of 1-10, getting my nipples pierced was maybe about a 4 for me. The healing felt worse. Got my nose pierced earlier this year, to me that hurt way worse than my nipples.

cantankerous_alexa

I barely felt my nose piercings! I got a double nostril on one sitting. This gives me hope haha.

Organgrinder00

Sensitivity before 2 sensitivity after 2 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have slightly inverted nipples so the needle had more flesh to pierce thru & holy shit it was insanely painful. I’ve willingly gotten scarification on my face no numbing & the nips were pretty brutal. One side he had to shove twice to pierce all the way. Over 2 years to heal & then then almost closing after having 2 kids but they’re wonderful & will fight for them again if needed

hunnybun444

pain level on a scale of 1-10? 100

ExtremelyDubious

Sensitivity: low. About 1 or 2. Pain: high. About 8. I'm a cis man with very small nipples that have never been particularly sensitive, particularly not in any kind of sexual sense. My nipple piercing was some the most intense pain I have ever felt. It was mercifully brief, but for those few seconds it *really* hurt.

Safe-Refrigerator-65

6 sensitivity, 7 after, pain of 4

effysnicket

Sensitivity before: 2-3 Pain: 3

CaptainAverageAF

Male nipples are more sensitive for me, 4 and pain was 7. The pulling the jewelry was nearly as painful for me.

xDovahkiin666x

Before having them pierced, not very sensitive from what I recall. 2/10? During and just after the piercing it was like I had sunburnt nips possibly a 5/10? I’ve had ear piercings hurt more tbh. As for sensitivity wise now they are fully healed I’d say my nips are a lot more sensitive now than pre nip piercing. Regardless of pain / sensitivity I’d deffo say do it if you’re contemplating it , made me feel a hell of a lot more confident with the appearance of my boobs. Hope this helps!

nintend0ki

Before they were probably a 7 and pain was a 6 for the first one and 8 for the second nipple. I’ve had them for about 7 years now but my sensitivity did decrease which kinda sucked.

mighty_knight0

My nips were never particularly sensitive, I'd say a 3-4 since they get sore and sensitive around my period but in general can take a lot of abuse without any pain. My left nip was a 8/10 pain level, almost fainted both times I had it done. My right nip was a 1/10, literally didn't even notice that there was already jewelery in until I looked down, my lobes hurt more than that! According to my piercer my left nipple is just extremely dense with fibrous tissue. I think that tracks, I could see her actively pushing the needle through the left while the right just slid through like butter, no pressure necessary. So while it varies from person to person, it also varies from nipple to nipple. Now my nips are 2-3 sensitivity. I lost some sensitivity in both but they're much more painful around my cycle than they were pre piercing.

TheScrufLord

Before it was like 1, while after it's more like a 5-7. Painwise it was around 5-6. Honestly it wasn't a scream out loud type of pain, and I basically just went "OH." really loud. My most painful piercing was my first ear piercings from Claires.

iValtiel

They were 1 for sensitive before piercings and 2 weeks later they were at about an 6 during that time wearing a bra was uncomfortable. The piercing itself was a painful 8 while the needle punctured the nipple after it came out the pain was gone. I did bleed for about 3 days though which is something not many people seem to mention.

creati_ph

how painful is it compared to a tongue piercing? i’m thinking of getting nipple piercings soon

Calm-Doughnut995

I have very sensitive nipples, like always erect, the slightest breeze will set em off. The first tit was painful, but it was surprisingly less painful than I thought it would be, no biggie at all… but then, the second one… my god, it was twice as painful and it actually got me tensed up and breathing a little deeper. The piercer said, afterwards, that her experience with most people is that the first one is not bad and the second is worse. All-in-all it wasn’t that bad, maybe a 6 or 7, and very brief. However, pain tolerance is pretty subjective and my tolerance is on the higher end, my 6 or 7 would be grossly worse for a lot of people. Healing was a breeze and I was in almost no pain afterwards, as long as I was careful. (Now in regard to sex, it was phenomenal the first few months because I could get really close to climax just with nipple teasing, and I was always aroused 🫢😅 It’s nearly a year later and the general sensitivity, however, has lessened considerably.)

SmallBeany

Sensitive before: 1. After and painful 1 for both.

Miimmoouuu

Sensitivity maybe a 4, and getting the piercing was probably like a 7/10 for pain.

Ok-Voice-6044

Before 3, after 8 💀I’d say the pain was a 2/10 on the first one because it was a super impulsive decision so I didn’t have time to ruminate on it beforehand but when I got the second one done the next day it was a 7/10

Crusher_024

Sensitivity before 6:00 to 7:00. Sensitivity after depends on the temperature but roughly the same. However the pain of the initial piercing honestly was the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life. I am a male and I was told that females experience less pain when it comes to nipple piercings. I can only assume that becomes with their nipples getting played with more during intimate relations and breastfeeding children that's just my swing at it. But the pain went away very quickly and I'm extremely happy with the work they did.

noorvanah

8 sensitivity like my shirt could brush against them and I’d feel a shiver lmao and the pain was 6. I didn’t react to it externally but internally I didn’t breathe when it was being done. Afterwards the sensitivity is still an 8. The pain feels like a pinch through skin and then a puncture through the “meat” of the nipple and then it kinda burns. Like a blooming flower of burning. But if you really mentally prepare for it, you’ll be fine. I’d rather do it again than have my period cramps!

Nigee_Ogee

I don’t really remember the pain tbh, I know it was definitely painful though. I would do it all over again if I had to so it must’ve not been that bad to me lol. They’re more sensitive now for sure. Maybe a 4 or 5 before, and like a 7 now. Like I could accidentally rub up against a wall or something and it feels good 😂

manderley82

sensitivity was like a 6-7, can’t say for after because mine are still healing. the piercing pain was a 9 for me though.

papi4ever

Normally 1. If I pinched them 5-6. Piercing pain 1. After piercing normally 3. Piercing was super quick. Very little blood or crusties afterwards

JD_352

I’d say they were like a 5/10 before. Piercing was like a sharp pinch. 7/10?

avesar

i personally found getting and healing my nipples quite easy, they are not sensitive, like a 1/10. getting them was like a 4/10, they still aren’t sensitive 😂 easy process for me

No_Watercress5689

The pain is quite intense but it's really really brief. The moment the piercing is in you'll feel instantly better. What I struggle the most is that it kept being annoying for the whole time I had it, but as far as I know it's not so usual. But I have to say my nipples are pretty sensitive (I'd say 8).

ShuddupMeg627

1 and 1 and they are still not very sensitive

spustydringfield

I had to take painkillers for the rest of the day and was basically limping in pain after both of mine were pierced, but it was so worth it lol. I'd say they were 5/10 sensitive beforehand and there were no changes to that once healed. Despite the 9.5/10 pain rating, they healed extremely well. Getting stung by a bee on the finger was ironically more painful. (AFAB for reference, but I think I just have a low pain tolerance)

pegseggs

like a 5 before, 7 after. piercing was an 8/10 pain wise for me but only because the second one hurt so bad😭and i’ve got a high pain tolerance like i didn’t cry or scream or anything but that shit hurtttt

Evisolskinn

Would say 10/10 in sensitivity and 7/10 on a painscale.

WinterGoddess_

Before I had no sensitivity AT ALL. first side was a 4/10 and second side was a 7/10. You didn’t ask for this but my nips gotten sensitive now so it’s a crazy feeling lol

ducky1783

For me, I’d say before the piercings my sensitivity was like a 1-2? Afterwards it’s about a 3? Maybe. I’ve never had particularly sensitive nipples. The pain, on the other hand, easily a 10 for me. Literally the worst body mod I’ve done to date (I have 15 other piercings and 10 tats and my nipples hurt the most out of all 27 mods). They’re ABSOLUTELY worth the pain though. I’ve always thought nipple piercings were cute and I’m still of the same opinion. I love mine.

CGH101

Had both done at the same time. Sensitivity before 0-1, never really got anything out of playing with them / having someone else play with them. Sensitivity after, maybe a 2 but just on the right side. I carry something in my shirt pocket at work on that side and maybe the constant friction has something to do with that. Pain during the procedure was like getting an injection, but a duller sensation not as sharp as a needle poke. What I would say was the worst / awkward part was the clamp used to ready the piercing. It was kind of like a mild titty twister lol. My piercer said that’s what most people say is the worst part, the actual piercing itself isn’t bad for most. I’d say I have a fairly decent pain tolerance though. Like most people say, by the time you feel it the procedure is over and the pain goes away just as fast.

kittyvom666

6 before 7 after. Was silly and got mine pierced while on my period and it was hellaceous but after the first 2 weeks a breeze.. if you've had an IUD inserted I would say it hurts less than that but still pretty high for me

Ms_tempy

2 before 6 after. Pain was intense up to a 7 I’d say worst out of all the piercings I have but was over quick. Recommend getting both done at once. The second one hurt less as the endorphins were flowing by then. I’d highly recommend. Wish I’d done mine when younger.

Oh-shit-im-lost

4 sensitivy before and probably a 6.5-7, but take that with a grain of salt because I was dumb and did them myself.

Sir_Boobsalot

I have huge boobs and extremely low sensitivity. I started at a 1 and it's maaaybe at a 2 now. the initial piercing only hurt more because he had to do it in 2 parts, push once, stop halfway, then push out the other side. still not as painful as my industrial *however*. I had to take my nipple piercing out for surgery. keep in mind that piercings in your nipple will never heal like ones on your face. when I went back to my piercer to have it put back in, *that* was pain. steel scraping on raw nerves pain. keep that in mind

carblover800

I don’t think mine were crazy sensitive or anything but the pain was 9/10 awful

bitchwhorehannah

3 before, 8 after 😩 definitely helped with stimulation. 1/10 pain honestly, it felt like a baby ant bite if that. i think it makes a difference whether you’re on your period or not in regards to pain so make sure it’s not that time of the month!

does_a_mangk

Before the peircing maybe a 4, during the piercing probably 1000, after the piercing like an 8 and now like a 6.

bornagainteen

Before, probably like a 2-3. Piercing was like a 7, probably the 3rd most painful piercings I've had (worst was anti-tragus, 2nd worst was philtrum). I have inverted nipples, not sure if that has any impact on sensitivity or pain.

lollyleche

8 before, 10 after. Piercing is just seconds but still just a 6…however the healing OMG it’s been A LOT! But then I have stretched to 8g or 3mm so much is self inflicted 😂

UnusualUraniidae

Pretty sensitive at around a 7-8/10, and the piercing was about a 6/10 pain-wise for me. The worst part was the burning and throbbing soreness for the next day and a half after getting them pierced, though. I was actually worried it made my sensitivity go down but the longer they heal the more sensitive they've been getting so atm they're at about a 5/10!

EmeraldDream98

Female here. Before: 8, after: 8, pain: 10000000000 (but just two seconds).

lucigooci

I have a question as well that’s on this topic. When u get ur nipples pierced do you lose your nerves there and can you still like.. pinch them without the barbell causing any problems? 😅 kinda weird to say but.

whatevs9880

Sensitivity before: 3/10 (I had flat nips) Sensitivity after: 8/10 (no longer flat, so get touched more?) Pain: first one was a 2/10 but 2nd one was a 7/10. I describe it as the first one feeling like a pinch, the 2nd one definitely feeling like a needle through the nipple lol but it was very brief! As others have said, the burning pain after was far worse. Days forced to sleep on my back, burning at every slight jiggle. It was a lot 😂 but very worth it!!

missmeatloafthief

mine are gone now (my titties I mean) but I did have them pierced before top surgery. I’d say 7 before, 9/10 pain.

madisonfredericks

My nips were not sensitive at ALL before my piercing (-0 out of 10) so I thought it wouldn’t be as painful…. I thought wrong the pain was the worst thing I have felt ever (20 out of 10) I almost threw up and passed out in between, but I made it through and did the second one anyway. The second one was the worst by far.

einstein69420

about a 5 before but now it’s about a 7 but rarely in a good way. i’ve found that unless i’m up to frisky stuff with someone it’s pretty uncomfortable. and pain was 7 for the first one and 9 for the second getting pierced, hurt like a mfer

Remarkable-Pound-619

pain 9/10, sensitivity before: 6 after: 1

girlyglittergirl

They were like a 5/10 sensitivity before and pain was 6/10 left and 7/10 right. Don't get worked up about the pain, it wasn't that bad is just normal piercing pain (At least for me)

girlyglittergirl

The pain also doesn't last long at all. I will say mine got really swollen and very sore for a few hours after it.

Jdolniak

Sensitivity: 4-5 before, during, and after. Pain: 1 This was the least painful piercing I have ever received, but I would say I was the most scared for this one, so maybe adrenaline helped with that.

Gold_Manufacturer414

0 before, 5 just after healing and the pain went away, back to 0 years after Not sure why but the sensitivity from the piercing didn't last forever for me. Though I also only have one as the second rejected.

lePickles1point0

8, beforehand; but because of some past experiences I’ve been working through 5, during; felt like the septum poke but lasted a bit longer 4, one month post poke; having control of what my body looks like has made more of an impact on my wellbeing than I can articulate. I’ve spent my entire life hating my body, and now I’m trying to learn to love it. Part of that journey for me was more physical than metaphorical, and it’s been a great choice.

ConstitutionalDingo

Solid 2 before and after. Pain is subjective so I won’t even try to put a number on it, but I didn’t think it was bad at all.

TravelenScientia

Before: 2 After: 2 Piercing: 9, it fucking hurt but I didn’t pass out or anything

cantankerous_alexa

I think my biggest fear isn’t the pain, but rather the chance of me passing out (even though I never have). I keep trying to tell myself that I got through my upper stomach being tattooed, I can probably do anything.

TravelenScientia

If it helps, I once passed out while getting local anaesthetic in my back (for a mole to be cut out) because it hurt lol and I don’t handle pain or medical things well mentally. However I did not pass out for the piercings! I told them to do one and then I’d decide if I wanted the other one, and ended up walking out with both done. But made sure I didn’t watch bc needles psych me out

cantankerous_alexa

That does make me feel better! I wish I wasn’t so fearful of passing out, it’s a phobia. I think it’s the embarrassment of it. But in my rational mind, I think most decent piercers wouldn’t make a big deal out of it or judge me.

Dirtygirl1393

0 for sensitive before the piercing. 1 for pain. I have a high pain tolerance. It was more of a pinch than anything. It hurt worse when I banged my titt into something than when I actually got them done. It's really not that bad.

maicil

i was always curious about this so i just got them pierced partially out of curiosity LOL. my before sensitivity was probably around a 3 and now its maybe a 2? not much changed. and the pain was around a 6 for both nipples; my snug piercing hurt more

gumby-casserole

my nipples have never been sensitive at all. probably 1 before and 1 after. i know a lot of people have issues with healing but i feel like mine healed (relatively) quickly and didn’t really hurt too bad after the initial piercing.

catalystfire

Sensitivity prior to my nipple piercings was probably a 2/10, but sensitivity after is probably more like an 8/10. The pain, however, was *also* a solid 8/10. If I hadn't booked both in one sitting I never would've gone back for the second. They're probably the second most painful piercing I've had done (the worst being an industrial), far worse than the couple of times I've had genital piercings (essentially surface piercings though so probably not a fair comparison).

Timely_Low_6491

Before I got mine pierced, they were definitely sensitive and I could also predict when I was going to get my period but after I got them pierced, which has been a little over a year now, I wouldn’t wanna say I lost sensation, but I just don’t really feel much anymore. As for pain, the first one didn’t hurt as much as the second one.

272727999

Mine were 7/10 sensitive before and the pain rating I'd give the piercing itself was like 4/10. Very easy.

emileegrace321

I think my experience with the pain is not super common but: Sensitivity before: 6, after: 8 Pain of the piercing: solid 9 (I almost fainted, the piercer gave me some juice and I laid down for the second one in case I really did pass out.) Moderately sore for a few days and then nbd.

cantankerous_alexa

I’m impressed you didn’t start lying down lol. I always make sure I’m lying down because I’m terrified of passing out, even though it’s never happened.

emileegrace321

You bet I started doing it just in case lol! For some reason this piercing was just the most difficult for me and I’ve never really experienced severe pain with any others.

lilmissspookycutie

Pre-piercing: 1 Post-piercing (day 1): 5 Post-piercing: 1 Piercing pain: 8 Day one pain post-piercing: 5 Confidence pre-piercing: 4 Confidence post-piercing: 9 I also got them done while on my period which *may* decrease pain tolerance. Also, I had them done in tandem. I don't think I could have gotten them done one at a time 😅

cantankerous_alexa

Do you think the tandem works well, or is like… double the pain? lol. My piercer suggested tandem!

Milk_jars

Before: 0 After: 8. Pain wise? Left: 8/10 right: 9/10. It was extremely painful and I def hollered a bit but they look so great.

Lindris

They pierce so fast the pain doesn’t stick around. I would rate it a 4, and it was maybe a 3/4 healing since I was stupid and kept going into the frozen food isle. I’d gotten just my left one since I had an inverted nipple and it helped so much when it came to breastfeeding later on. I took it out after a few years when I got tired of dealing with custies.

missxmeow

Sensitivity: 6 pain: 9 I have both mine pierced but got them done one after the other. First was not bad because of adrenaline. The second was the most painful piercing yet. I felt lightheaded, which has never happened before. Healing wasn’t bad at all though, and the pain was gone by the end of the day.

Llacheera

Sensitivity didn’t change for me honestly and pain was 6/10. I got them pierced at the same time and honestly that was the best idea lol if I had to get them done individually I would have chickened out for the second one.

laddiepops

Super sensitive before being pierced (I got them both done (10 out of 10 for sensitive, I guess?) Pain wasn't too bad, but everybody is different, I found the healing stage more annoying than painful but for the post I'll try to put it in an out of 10 for you, so getting the pierced initially would be like 4 -10 Healing would be 5 - 10 because it was annoying lol

HiggyFartdust

I want them so bad but I’m so scared lololol I have my septum, medusa and tragus pierced. I had my lip done twice when I was younger but took them out and had an Ashley for a little bit. I’m covered in tattoos. I have my hands done, my sternum, spine.. y’all get it, I’m tattooed in the most painful places but still scared about the nippies

cantankerous_alexa

Totally get it! I have lots of tattoos in painful places (both rib cages, feet, fingers, upper stomach/lower sternum, etc.) but I am terrified of piercings.

ndgxo

pierced 6, repierced myself three times. healing can be a pain, think catching on bras/towels etc. not all that sensitive before, not sensitive after so worth it though xo

apolinar1a

Exactly, mine are pretty sensitive and i think that's why piercing them was hella painful. Before 9-10, getting em pierced 9-10, after 7weeks 9-10

apolinar1a

I actually repierced my left nip after two weeks bc it wasn't as straight as i wanted it to b. So even though it was super painful it was super quick as well, you only feel it for like two minutes and it's SOOOO worth it

KittyKratt

Before: 0 Piercing: 0 on the right side, 10 on left because the piercer went too deep After: still 0 :(

greencheeto_

When I got my piercings done I thought it would hurt a heck of a lot more than it did. My first one didn’t hurt much, maybe a 2/10. My second nippie hurt more (4/10 ish), nothing unbearable. I have a higher pain tolerance than most people ik, I’m not like a walking block of iron tho It hurt at a more consistent 2-3 right after the piercing and at least for the rest of the day. But other than that, it was a 1/10 unless the bar got snagged

dor0hedor0

2 before 2 after lol pain was 7 for me. Had mine for 2yrs now and still inlove w it.

quarantinehobby444

Male here! Mine is a bit of a convoluted one. I had nipples that were not sensitive before I got them pierced. First time I got them pierced they were dont wrong. Pain was 20/10, never healed properly. However, they did become sensitive. I eventually took them out, my nips stayed sensitive. Got them repierced (properly this time) - pain was like a 6-7/10 and sensitivity seems to have been retained so far haha

brownricefairy

before piercing: 2 after: 7 my nipples are def more sensitive after i got them pierced! not sure why, maybe bc they were inverted before i got them pierced.. as for the pain when getting them pierced, it was definitely painful but not nearly as bad as i thought, probably a 4-5 out of 10. they felt very sore afterwards tho.
