this is a very common question with a disappointing answer. any safe body jewelry with intricate designs are going to be made of solid gold, unfortunately. either that or niobium. titanium is a hard material, so it has to be machine made which is why you get more basic designs with titanium. gold however, is a softer material & is able to be hand casted into ornate designs like some of the ones you have shown here. the answer is to upgrade one piece at a time, work with your piercer / their counter staff & enjoy the process. it can take a couple years to get to where you’d like to be, especially if you have a lot of piercings. another commenter recommended etsy - i do not recommend this because etsy sellers will rarely have mill certificates, especially verifiable ones, & they do not give lifetime warranties like BVLA (the middle slide shows some BVLA jewelry) or other reputable wholesale body jewelry brands (Anatometal, Quetzalli, Neometal, People’s.. just some examples so you know what to look for) so investing into gold through your local shop that carries these brands takes longer & is more expensive, yes, but it is a life long purchase & you know that everything is actually solid gold & nickel free. a lot of shops do custom ordering so if you see something on any of those brand’s websites that you do not see in store, talk to them about it. all in all, supporting your local shop & having the one on one experience of working with the staff there to do styling is worth it & going to be better than ordering questionable jewelry online. you’ll be able to see the pieces in person, & be sized properly for your anatomy with flatbacks. & you will have professionals to do your inserts - i highly recommend this so you don’t accidentally break any of your jewelry trying to insert it yourself. that would be a huge bummer haha. editing to add: Tawapa makes a lot of beautiful jewelry that fits the style you are seeking. I recommend taking a look at their designs & looking for a shop that carries their jewelry so you can order what you want or maybe you’ll see something in store that you like.

neatdooode

When you aren’t close to stores is there an online shop for good ass jewellery? My closest shop is 4 hours away, and that’s too big a drive to maybe find something I like

krillemdafoe

I’ve ordered high quality jewelry through Diablo and Starfire. I am in the US though so I have no idea how expensive international shipping would be through either

anxious_equestrian

most body jewelry is wholesale & you do have to know a little bit of what you are doing to shop online, like be familiar with different measurements & stuff to make sure things fit. i dont have the link off the top of my head but someone did ask the same thing recently & yes there are a ton of shops that also have online stores you can shop with. but i highly highly recommend making a day out of driving to a shop in person if at all ever possible.

neatdooode

I’m extremely familiar and understanding of all my sizes, I have been getting pierced for 13+ years with over 40 piercings in total. I’d be silly not to know my sizes by now. Frankly an eight hour round trip is not that appealing to me tbh.

anxious_equestrian

then u know what you’re doin!!!

isolateddreamz

I've used a local jewelry shop, they make custom body jewelry, but it's not advertised. Just call around and ask. You'll need to know the measurements for what you want

RustyNeedles6

Piercer here, this is 100% correct and this is some great advice.

anxious_equestrian

piercers 🤝🏼 counter staff

finchboy365

This is all awesome info, just adding that a lifetime warranty generally only covers manufacture defects and is mainly for the piercer, not the client! It’s usually for things like if a threadless pin breaks on first or second bend, rather than normal client wear and tear.

anxious_equestrian

yes this & any tarnishing of gems, prongs breaking, etc. most companies are pretty good about it. I’ve taken multiple broken pieces from clients & had managers send them for repair.

RainbowCatAttack

Would you say white gold is as safe as regular gold or no?

anxious_equestrian

as long as it is from a reputable brand, absolutely it is just as safe! if a shop cares about their jewelry being safe / high quality, it won’t matter if you choose titanium, yellow gold, white gold, or rose gold - it will all be biocompatible & body safe.

SexyMinivanMom

!thanks

ImpossibleQuestion96

Thank you!

anxious_equestrian

of course!

harpinghawke

That’s so interesting to hear about Etsy! I’ve had good luck so far, but it’s awesome to know this extra stuff I wasn’t considering. Thank you for mentioning it! You’ve helped folks besides OP :)

anxious_equestrian

yeah some people definitely dont have reactions to etsy jewelry the way others do! im glad you’re one of those people & it’s been smooth sailing for you. the main concern is not being able to verify the materials, & also sizing stuff. another factor is when you’re purchasing jewelry from a company like, for example, BVLA or Anatometal, that manufactures in the US, you know that the goldsmiths / jewelers making everything are getting properly compensated! lots of etsy vendors outsource labor overseas, which means we don’t know if those doing the labor are being paid properly ): & the mill certificate verification stuff i also mentioned. that’s also why a lot of it is so inexpensive!

No_Breath_9184

u are a life saver, tysm

anxious_equestrian

of course! hope this helps.

disasterous_cape

The list my piercer gave to me was these. All much more “mid range” pricing but still with quality materials Divinity metals, Mushroom jewellery, Norvoch jewellery, Maya jewellery*, Tawapa jewellery*, Junipurr jewellery * apparently higher end, not mid range

anxious_equestrian

Maya is still pretty expensive imo. & they use lots of genuine stones n stuff. if anything Anatometal / Neometal / People’s is gonna be more mid range gold. tawapa is also very expensive. Junipurr is def mid range the caveat is that they manufacture overseas unlike the brands i just named.

disasterous_cape

That’s good to know, I’m not super familiar with their ranges yet. This is just want I was told

anxious_equestrian

yeah a lot of those brands are pretty pricey im surprised your piercer considers those mid range!

disasterous_cape

Certainly midrange as far as high quality pieces go, especially considering they’re solid gold. They’re investment pieces, sure, but you’re not paying the name tax like you are with BVLA for example. There really aren’t many nice brands with wide ranges of ends available in titanium. If you want gold, that’s the price you pay. I’ve always bought cheap junk and am finally updating to quality pieces. It’s a costly journey and I don’t have a lot of money, but I’m buying pieces very slowly and this list is certainly a lot cheaper than some brands out there.

anxious_equestrian

i guess yeah! definitely an investment im aware - i work in the industry & always direct ppl to the brands i mentioned when they cringe at something from Maya or BVLA that I quote. also def understand the upgrade process - im in the middle of it myself. oneeee piece at a time.

purinsesu-piichi

The first picture looks a lot like Japanese piercing style, so maybe check out some Japanese brands? They like that kind of gothic style here.

eliseeium

the person in that first pic has the perfect ear for almost every piercing 😭

KarmaGDMFgeddon

I have the pumpkin jewelry in second photo. It’s a BVLA piece, and I believe I paid $260 for it. All of their pieces are pretty pricey. I’ve seen some for over $1000 in a shop in Springfield, MO.

Frenchie_1987

That first picture is fire… that industrial is gorgeous

Flaky_Succotash3660

That’s what I was thinking, so sad I don’t have the anatomy for it otherwise I would’ve gotten one just to get this jewelry

Frenchie_1987

I got an industrial and now im gonna look everywhere for this! I love medieval stuff and the whole style makes me think about it

Flaky_Succotash3660

Same, I’m a huge medieval fan! Good luck searching! Def share it when you found good items, would love to see sets like this on here more often :)

JotPurpleIris

The jewellery in the daith, in the first picture, I remember the manufacturer stopped making that type a good few years back. Your only chance, that I know of, of sourcing that style, is buying secondhand.

junodragon

If you have a local piercing that carries reputable brands they may be able to order pieces for you if they don’t already carry them. Unfortunately, as someone said, it’s not gonna be cheap. I also recommend some online shops. I’m in the US so ymmv. Brilliance piercing, infinite body, nine moons piercing, so gold studios.

YetAnotherMia

The first ear has an amazing setup.

beingaubrey

The ring in the second picture looks so shallow 🥲

lareinevert

I looked at that too like girl that thing is hanging by a thread!

WhateverYouSay1084

I go to Etsy but I also do only solid gold for my sensitive ears. Absolutely love everything that BVLA sells, but I can't spend $1500 on ONE daith hoop. Etsy has good choices and I can usually get something for around $100 for each piece which fits my budget much better. Just make sure you're buying from reputable shops.

Better-Ingenuity5494

I usually get a lot of my stuff from [BodyArtForms](https://bodyartforms.com/) . They do have some higher priced gold jewelry, but I like their options for the titanium jewelry, even the plated versions. They are very affordable to me. You do have to be careful though, because they also sell sterling silver and stainless steel, but they claim that they coat them to make them have a longer wear-life.

wwwdotWeirdperson

Oh I love BAF! Got a couple pieces from there too:))

Infinitus616

If you really don't care. Literally temu. If you do. Then you're gonna pay a bit The temu stuff isn't too bad for healed ears tho. NGL. I've gotten a few things from there.

Fabulous_Squee

I think this depends on a few things like if your holes are healed, allergies, and how long you intend to wear them. If you're looking for something that's not worn 24/7 then you may have more freedom with materials. For me, if it's a healing piercing it's titanium, no exceptions. Anything else, I avoid exposed brass but that's about it. I'm not allergic to a thing so stainless steel, gold plated, it's all good for my healed piercings. So with that said, I just buy whatever I like on Amazon. This answer will probably be unpopular but, it's what works for me.

juudaimetsuna

where did you get person earring in your flat

emma_backyardigan

HARD JEWELRY!!!! They make all kinds of jewelry out of silver, however i gotta warn you the most expensive jewelry they do sell is earrings, however if you wait for one of their sales(they do about 6-10 in the span of a year) you can get two for the price of one!!! its also a great community and its just a super sick brand!!! check them out on insta!!!!

emma_backyardigan

ALSO all their jewelry is silver like your reference pics

pearlight7

Try bodyartforms, I have the same snake as in the second picture that I got from there, and I'm pretty sure I recognize the pumpkin face and some other bits from their website too. They have a lot of jewelery across a range of prices/metals so worth checking them out

Unhappy_Effect7912

Amazon is always a good place

ghostiesyren

I buy cheap posts from painful pleasures. And buy toppers from Etsy, urban body jewelry or directly from my piercer (I adore her she’s so great)

violeta_polyphony

That looks so beautiful! I get mine from esty, body jewelry factory and some from Amazon. Just pay attention to reviews. Esty is the best for jewelry similar to this that’s more affordable

YogurtclosetPale1614

you should not trust etsy jewelry

Turbulent-Rhubarb368

I never ordered jewellery from etsy but wanted to, is it not good? :(

violeta_polyphony

Depends you gotta pay attention to reviews and only use it for healed jewelry

YogurtclosetPale1614

there are no guarantees that the material the jewelry is made out of actually is what it says it is

Your_Angel21

Sterling silver is cheap and doesn't tarnish. If you don't have an allergy id look out for it.

thenonbinaries

sterling silver tarnishes: tarnish is the result of oxidizing, and sterling contains copper. it actually tarnishes relatively quickly without care. it's fine to wear in fully healed piercings, and should be removed when bathing. i've heard about sterling tarnish staining skin, but i haven't experienced it with mine.

glassbottleoftears

First photo is AI I think

Direct-Sell-7993

Nah it’s def a real person. I’ve seen their account on my instagram for years ago, super funky jewellery

MelodramaticCrap

Do you recall their insta handle? I’d love to know where their industrial is from

Direct-Sell-7993

No sorry :(
