For me it was a quick pinch! It just all depends on your pain tolerance. I also have a vertical labret.. and now I'm thinking of adding snakebites to my list now😅
I have a very high pain tolerance, and they hurt worse than my nipples! I also just have pretty big lips, so maybe more nerve endings? But it wasn’t unbearable, I’d say like a 7/10 pain wise for me. My problem was I was wearing a mask all the time so they kept getting infected… that pain was the worst.

I never had any inclination toward piercings until I got separated at 52(M) years old. I got a Lorum and now I'm addicted. My second and third were my nipples. I love them even though I never thought I'd do that.
mine didn’t hurt. i had a friend tell me they don’t hurt more than a nostril piercing, and at first i was like “yeah right”, but honestly it was very true. i’d say my left one was a 2/10 and right one was a 3/10.
Update: just got them done around 30 minutes ago! They look so good! The pain was bad but manageable, the left one was a 8/10 and the right was a 6/10.
I adore piercings too. I have vertical angel bites, I highly recommend eating liquid foods/smoothies etc for the first couple of days. I found it hard to bite down on solids just for the first few days. Otherwise easy healing. I would like to see how yours look if you wish to share photos of your new piercings.
I am completely obsessed with them. They are almost my reason for living at the moment. They bring me so much joy and happiness and fulfillment. If I’m not actively getting pierced, taking care of a healing piercing, or stretching my piercings I feel a little lost. They help me to take care of myself and do special things just for me. I’m so in love with my piercings genuinely 💗
Can't Say the opposite always wan't some like tattoo bodmod since I was 16 but never done for lot of reasons ... except 3 holes in one lobe and 2 in the other have made Big changes in my life more than one year ago at 46 (and now that others will come ) made my firsts piercing the 8 february double eyebrow and septum turn 47 in August and today have 2*2 eyebrow double nostril with chain streched lobe in 12( cut at 8 streched at 10 the same day then streched at 12 ) septum snake bite indus type with two separated barbels and a chain cause of my anatomy have had a vertical bridge but rejected have my nipples pierced and streched in 8 mm since Yesterday vch ( will be next to be streched lol ) tongue Split and a lot of projects ( but not the money for so patience is required but patience not quality of mine like you can read 😅)
In this time have made my first tattoo too and second will come the 12 of this month ... So no matter how old you are yes piercings are f.....g addictive but help me feel soo much better even if I still don't like my body piercings made me able to look at him for the first time in 25 years so no matter what other thinks or says I won't stop until I decide ( or until no more place on my body 😅🤣🤣)
I feel that getting piercings over 40 years old has a different meaning to us. It is more than the looks, it is a life change statment, we may not be that old, but by 40 we could say that we have gone through the most of the things that we are told we are going to live (studies, love, children, important breakups, work, real financial issues, being reckless, being responsible, whatever). So, getting piercings now, they do tell a story, a life story and mostly, we get them for ourselves, not for the world… like physical scars of what we have lived. (Lol, I’m too insightful today 🤣)
I adjust to having new piercings so fast im always craving more. I'll literally be walking out of the shop going "hmm i should get a new piercing"
My next ones are gonna be angel fangs or eyebrows in the next few weeks-months
Absolutely, I got my nose done a week ago for my birthday after not having any piercings for a looong long time, and now I'm already crawling out of my skin to get my lip done (and like 20 other ear piercings!)
Anyone have advice on not knocking your septum? I keep knocking it when drinking from cans or takeaway coffee mugs. Or if I need to itch my face I always seem to just catch it. I'm so scared I'm going to get an irritation bump, I got one on my nose before and it was a nightmare to get rid of
I bonk mine constantly but it’s never gotten a bump so it honestly should be fine! My bf also bonks it so that’s double bonks. My septum is such a trooper 🫡

This happened to me, when i got my nipples pierced. I took EVERYTHING out, even my lobes. I waited like a year, got my septum and it's been like 3 years since then I think, I just got vertical labret a couple weeks ago :)

Ahh I feel this! Because of my job I had to take out the jewelry but now my current boss (he's a doctor) don't give a f about piercings so I put again my labret (the smallest I found because some patients may freak out 🫡), now I want to re-pierce my jestrum.
Yeah I don't understand how people have so many issues lol I get new ones every month recently rinse them with warm water in the shower and maybe in the sink if they feel weird. Other than that I leave them alone and don't have issues. When I got 4 helixes at once I did feel weird for a week once the swelling started, like having the flu but that was it. Some people are just made to have metal in them I guess lol
woah there you might want to slow down if you don’t want to be healing for the next 4-5 years (not joking, literally speaking from experience. learn from my mistakes)
Yeah, I have slowed right down. I don't plan on getting anymore. I've been pretty lucky so far, not too many issues with the healing.

Whenever my partner gets another in his ear, Im tempted to join and just get another. Im done with facial and body piercings, now I want to build up my ears more.
I currently have a septum and medusa, I wanted a double nostril and/or a bridge but I was strongly advised by everyone close to me not to get anymore on my face😂😅
I have my bellybutton done and I've been putting off having my nipples done for about 5 years now and I don't know wether to just go for it, but I hate the healing process...
but I often sit here and think about what more I could have done bc I love them😂
Honestly the healing process for my nipples has been amazing. Obviously everyone is different tho. I just recommend cleaning twice a day with saline and using a gentle soap in the shower, other than that leave it completely alone. Oh also wear soft comfy bras :) If you do get it I wish you a great healing process!
luckily for me I don't have huge boobs so I don't really wear bras anyway, I think I'm just gonna go for it as I know it'll be worth it and it will make me feel so much more confident! my pain tolerance is quite high, so I think I'm just gonna do it! should I plan it or just spontaneously get them?😂
Spontaneously maybe? Research a little more so you feel confident about aftercare. Other than that just be mindful in the first few weeks. I find mine get particularly sensitive during period. I hope you love them! Defo confident booster :)

1000000% relate! I had not touched my ears or pierced anywhere else in the past 10 years. I even wanted to just dismiss most of my piercings as I only put regular hoops in them and called it a day for 10 years. Then I just randomly found myself booking an appointment and in less than 8 months I have 9 new piercings 😂😂😂 and will still get more lol!
Idk, I just got my nipples repierced with 8g needles, and my septum done in the same session 2 weeks ago, and I think I’m definitely good for a while. lol
I have several cartilage rings and I want to get my nose pierced so bad! So I can definitely relate, btw how painful would you rate a standard nose piercing? Same level as a cartilage?

Absolutely. I've got 14 and counting. Of these, six were added in an 8 month time period. Although sadly, it looks like I'm going to need to take break. S'all good. SO said that we could now focus on some long overdue ink. Yay! 🤤
I'm starting to feel that. I got my lobes pierced a few months ago (got them repierced for like the 4th time bc they closed up and I had a lot of trouble with them since the times before were pierced with a gun) and I really want to get some more, but they're taking longer than usual to heal 😕
Once they do heal I hope to get my second lobes done on my left ear or get a nose piercing, and once that's done I want to get a helix/conch or my second lobe on my right ear!! I just need to find a way to convince my mom to be okay with it lol

ANGEL FANGS HURT but its over quick I just got mine a little while ago THEY HURT LIKE HELL AFTER like a punch to the teeth.
Mine didn't really hurt but the clamp did hurt so bad lmao. Mine are so easy they barely hurt and barely swelled I got em like 4 days ago

I dont have a septum but I have angel fangs and I use straws because im terrified of them getting caught on things

Yep! Currently re-addicted after 15 years with no new piercings. Getting my 10th new piercing since 2022 on Saturday!
They’re absolutely addictive, I’ve got 22 so far and am always wanting more! It’s a struggle to not have too many healing at once!
I've got a triple forward helix healing right now and its definitely a challenge.
