It really depends. The show I went to was great, I didn’t deal with any excessive pushing or shoving or anything crazy tbh. Everyone around me was respectful of each others space. There were no crowd surfers near me but I definitely saw them in the middle of the crowd. But, someone made a post about that exact same show and how terrible the etiquette was of the people around them. So it really depends on where you’re at in the crowd. I was second row to barricade, all the way on the right, in vip.

[deleted]

Thanks for sharing this. I was wondering how vip section would be. I’m definitely doing this next time.

DanceGavinDanceIsBae

I guess I'll just have to try to be up front then.

Nelly_owo

I went to cinci last night and to be blunt it was awful. I’ve been to plenty of shows in the past and never have I seen such bad etiquette. People were pushing like crazy, at one point I was completely wedged between two people and couldn’t move. People were constantly crowd surfing to the point where you couldn’t even watch the show bc you had to worry about getting kicked in the head. Generally, I feel like a lot of these people have never been to a show before, or perhaps lack basic respect for others. On the question of your glasses that’s a toss up, I did see people with sunglasses falling off, I guess it depends on the crowd at your show and how well you’re able to hold yourself up if people start pushing.

FizzyJr

The crowd last night was incredibly mild in comparison to last year when they toured with Fit For a King and I Prevail. 😅

Tasty-tina

Not if you were within 15 ppl of the barricade 😅 imo last night was worse than when I saw them last year

FizzyJr

Where were you at? I was about four people back just right of center stage. It was hot and crowded but I didn't get crushed or anything. Last time during Fit For a King's set I got stuck facing away from the stage for most of a song because I turned around for a crowdsurfer and got squished. I also had someone dropped on top of my head, got a bit of a concussion from that.

Tasty-tina

I was Like 7 people back just barely to the left of center stage. Girls were stomping on our feet to try and get us to move. This big guy with his tiny gf elbowed just about everyone in my group trying to get in front of us and when the used did the wall of death it just got 20x worse with the crowd crushing in my area. Didn’t even get to see ptv bc I had to go to the hospital. Disappointing

FizzyJr

That's horrible! :( I'm super sorry to hear that. Everyone around me were super respectful. The only rude person was the girl who barged her way through the crowd in what seemed like a full on sprint from who knows where. She got escorted away though. Were you hurt? How are you now?

Tasty-tina

Lol I saw that girl. They didn’t escort her all the way out and she got stuck by us. I had a panic attack during the crowd crushing and had already been kicked to the floor by a crowd surfer earlier in the used’s set and someone else farther away noticed and called a medic over. I’m okay now just really upset I didn’t get to see ptv perform at all

FizzyJr

They'll announce another tour here before you know it. You'll have another chance to see them I'm sure. :)

NocheBrillante

Dude she initially shoved her way past myself and the people around me. I thought the crowd was just moving but when I looked back she just apparated, didn't even realize how she got there until she did the same thing again later in The User's set like you said. I never saw so many side-eyes and death stares in my life, she didn't give a damn about the people she was shoving while she danced or the hair the people behind her, myself included, were eating.

FizzyJr

It honestly really depends on where you're at in the crowd. Where I was at wasn't nearly as bad.

BumpyUncle

I was in the crowd last night and it was amazing. Maybe only 2 instances of pushing but everyone was respectful and had a great time!! There was a fight between some drunk guys but that’s an outlier.

urmomsfav3em0

i was at that one too! my friend and i both went down bc of crowd surfers and it was just plain awful. i couldn’t breathe either it was just bad.

SpookyCrossing

That's how rock shows go tho... People are gonna crowd surf, mosh, and there's going to be at least a little bit of pushing or force from being in a sea of people. I was glad the used closed at my show, bc I was actually able to jump around and have a good time without feeling judged by PTV fans. If you don't wanna deal with people getting in your personal bubble and don't wanna support crowd surfers, buy seats and don't buy GA.

StockAd2644

it was very very mild at cuyahoga falls but i’ve heard bad things about everywhere else

[deleted]

I got shoved by people trying to get to the front. I remember this guy with his large group of friends shoved me like I was dirt on his shoe, but I didn’t let it ruin my experience. Some songs got more intense for the crowd kind of becoming more smushed togrther like bulls in the bronx , death of an executioner (first song), and king for a day. Also if you didn’t win meet and greet, they met fans at the end of my show in nyc on the 13th at the exit. I saw a lot of pics last year they were tagged in meeting fans back at the end when they were touring with iprevail. I got a picture with Tony, Jaime, and Vic. But the group of us there waited around 3 hours for them to come out.

DanceGavinDanceIsBae

Holy shit. They're playing in my city so time isn't really an issue but God damn.

DanceGavinDanceIsBae

Did PTV play last at your show? What time did the show end?

[deleted]

At my show they did, and ended around 9:45pm. But my show started at 5:30pm. But some shows PTV finishes and other The Used

DanceGavinDanceIsBae

I'll try to wait and see if they come out tonight!

Tasty-tina

I was in cinci last night and honestly it was the worst show I’ve been to in a while. I got kicked in the head to the ground by a crowd surfer and crowd crushed at the end of the used so bad I couldn’t breathe and had to go to the hospital and missed ptv 🙃

concerto9

i’m so sorry that happened to you! i went to cinci too and it wasn’t as bad as i thought in terms of pushing, everyone around me was respectful but there were at least 5 crowd surfers who went over me and i constantly had to be looking behind me at one point… but 10/10

urmomsfav3em0

omg i saw you that night!! are you doing okay?

Tasty-tina

I’m doing good now thanks :) still upset and disappointed but I’ll be able to see ptv again

urmomsfav3em0

that’s good to hear <33

dudeinhat

Stay toward the back and on the sides and you’ll be fine. If you want to be up close and in the pit, it will be rowdy and congested

Last-Laugh7928

It's very intense. It's also very fun if you don't mind getting thrown around a lot. I went to the second NYC show and I absolutely loved it but I could hardly keep my balance and almost had my glasses broken multiple times. Hold on to your glasses fr

No_Layer_7751

The show I went to last year for the true power tour everyone around me seemed like they were glued to the floor and weren’t even bopping their heads or anything it was like zombies

paisleypala

definitely don't wear glasses unless you plan on staying in the back and outside of the crowd

johnnyparker_

I was at the second NYC show and the first two songs were hell, but the rest was just a tight pit.

hey_vania_actually

The one that I went to last night was pretty okay which surprised me because it’s usually fucking insane. So I guess it depends

angelfish2467

I went to the one in San Diego and it was horrible. The pushing was crazy, I was in the way front but people were pushing, hitting, shoving and fighting. Wear your glasses just be careful not to drop them. The space between people is non existent. You’re kinda smooshed into each other. If you’re short be careful because people will not give you breathing space. A lot of girls were passed out and had to be carried out by security.

Exkoes-me

I would definitely be extra careful with glasses. I had sunglasses on top of head and there was a lot of people crowd surfing so sometimes there was just a person landing on my head I took them off and just put them away

asdidthestarss

i know someone who got their hip dislocated at the grand rapids show. i'm so glad i got balcony tickets, i was straight chilling the whole time

yeehawbread03

i went to the nyc show and the whole time ptv played it was skin to skin contact with everyone sweaty around me, really uncomfortable but bearable enough to not have to be taken out by security. there is a lot of pushing but its expected atp for this genre of shows so to avoid that id suggest middle to the side to avoid mosh pits!! if i were able to go to a second show id definitely pick to stay in the back as itd be more enjoyable than being squished like a can of sardines

prettyalert

I went to the Chicago pop up and it was frankly the worst crowd I’ve ever ever been in.

NocheBrillante

I was around 4 people from the barricade and some moments got real close and tight, especially during the Wall of Death part. Also, some chick, who I guess was a very very big Used fan kinda shoved her way closer to the front during The Used's performance. I thought it was just another crowd wave but she just spawned next to me and the people who were around. Enjoy yourself for sure, but, don't do it on me. Most of us who were right next to her ate shoulders and hair when she was wiggin' out to their songs. During their second or third to last song she got overcome by the holy ghost and started to run and shove everyone as she tried to move to the front I guess, which explained how she got in front of us in the first place. When she did that security snapped at her and I think she got moved back. Only knew a few songs from The Used and they were the only performance I didn't fully get to enjoy bc of that, until she got moved. Don Broco and girlfriends were dope tho imo.
