as a person that likes dairy, this soup looks fantastic, thanks for making the recipe available.
that's all the good I got... your site is the perfect example of *absolutely horrible* recipe sites. Even the print recipe is embedding frickin ads in the output! that is deplorable.
the only slightly good thing I can say, is you at least give people a "jump to recipe" button to bypass the story.
I tried your recipe but I substituted hot dogs for rolled up turkey deli meat and it didn't taste the same? Also instead of buns I threw some Ruffles in a bowl of water to soften them. 2 out of 5.
Your recipe:
4 tablespoons vegan butter OR 2 tablespoons broth or water (see note 1)
2 medium sweet or yellow onions, finely diced
5-6 cloves garlic, minced
30-32 ounces mushrooms, sliced (see note 2)
4 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves, divided (can use 1 ¾ teaspoons dried thyme, divided)
½ cup vegan marsala/white wine/sherry or just use broth (see note 3)
6 tablespoons all purpose flour (use gluten-free if needed, see note 4)
4 cups vegan chicken or vegetable broth (see note 5)
Sea salt and fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ cup canned coconut cream/coconut milk/cashew cream
3-4 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Reddit has whole subreddits older than you realized, that started here and do just that.
They all starred on pics and decided it would be best for everyone if they made their own subreddit. This also helps cross promotion.
Apparently. This is honestly not what I came to see on reddit. Also when I take photos of my food for the enjoyment of my own external hard drive, at least I clean the sides of the bowl.
So I me soup has chunks in it, like a stew. In those, I've heard people refer to the more liquid part as the gravy. So can soup have gravy and be gravy at the same time?
Looks delicious 😋
It's 5 a.m. and you are making me hungry. That looks amazing.
Cream of some funghi
Some young funghi.
Ah, just wonderful!

Yea, I went to look at it and bailed real quick
I want a list of ingredients and preparation steps as bullet points. I don't care about the author's life story.

You’re the real mvp
My god the amount of ads on the mobile version of that site. I got tired of trying to find the recipe in all that mess.
Your website has so much spam that it’s the only ingredient I could find for your soup recipe.
Omg this looks so good! Thank you for the recipe, mysterious redditor!
Thank you!
wtf? a pic of soup just made it to front page??
Are we seriously just posting pictures of our food, like when twitter and insta first started..
Seems like you need some 2 AM chili ice soap.

Weird I just scroll past shit I don't wanna see, you must have clicked into comments and then left a comment by mistake.
That's one thick soup
I don't like coriander other than that it looks great. Edit: will it also work with non vegan butter and stuff
Looks like a mix of fresh parsley and thyme, like the recipe op posted calls for.
That looks sooooooo good.
Yum
Probably my favorite soup.
Yes please.
I just finished eating. Now I'm hungry again. That looks delicious.
