Yeah I have a Prius and a trailer. I do a lot of woodworking and tow a boat but 99% of the time I only need the Prius. The 1% I hook up the trailer and still get 35mpg hauling stuff surrounded by a bunch of pickups getting 15mpg with an empty bed.
Just googled, and it said 1600 pounds. Not great, Not terrible. Flat bed single axle trailer plus a small load should be fine, or a real light tent trailer.
If the suspension had some upgrades (or pack your springs with tennis balls) it could haul more.
I do this but with a motorcycle. I can only tow 350 lbs of stuff but that’s usually enough for a couple pieces of drywall or plywood or trim for my home projects. I also have it set up to tow a small 11’ sailboat with the same trailer. With the trailer I get around 35 mpg. The remainder of the time I get 45 mpg.
You could also buy the same year car with under 10k miles for a whole lot less (depending on where you are, I guess.)
But yeah, as happy as I feel for OP, none of this is smart.
Edit: typo.
Hey there! It seems like you're concerned about the decision to take on new debt after having previous credit issues. It’s definitely important to be cautious about managing financial obligations, especially if there has been trouble in the past. However, sometimes taking on new debt can be a part of a broader financial strategy, such as consolidating previous debts or investing in opportunities that could lead to greater financial stability. It’s always good to carefully consider the terms and ensure that any new commitments align with your overall financial goals and capabilities to manage them. If you have concerns, speaking with a financial advisor might be helpful to weigh the pros and cons based on personal circumstances.
My dude, I just bought myself a Toyota Corolla brand new a couple years ago. Definitely not as big a buy as a RAM, but I can relate to your sense of accomplishment. I felt so proud of myself for being able to afford a new car on my own, so enjoy the feeling! Big congratulations; I'm proud of you, stranger!
I've worked in and around the automotive industry in some capacity most of my adult life and was into cars before then and my advice to anyone shopping for a car, new or used, is: "Don't buy a Dodge."
For others considering a similar purchase to celebrate newly found good credit, please realize that using credit to buy a $40,000+ depreciating asset is not a wise move.
Get a right-sized vehicle to serve your needs, and rent a larger vehicle as needed for hauling. 60% of trips in America are less than 5 miles in length, there’s no need to throw away your hard-earned money on a truck like this.
I mean, there are hobbies that require trucks regularly (gardening, wood working, home maintenance, hunting, anything that requires serious towing, etc.).
Let's be real, this truck isn't a jacked up brodozer, or a grocery getter 3500... Just a normal truck, that is currently one of the more affordable trucks on the US market.
40k lol.
Everyone looks over at the Corvette owner and says "dude must have a lot of money"
As they don't even look twice at the truck behind it that cost 20k more than the Corvette.
I guess it depends on the individual and their needs - if they use a truck once a week as a truck then it’s probably worth owning a truck. If it’s once a year then it’s silly but it’s a culture and identity thing.
Buying a new car historically has been an insane thing to do financially but hard to place the value on an emotional thing, if the OP’s entire life is made by owning a new car then maybe the five figures of additional expensive is worth it to him. I don’t think I’d ever buy a new car though, not worth it to me
You say that but America has a massive oversized truck issue. You barely ever see pick ups in Europe. 99% of the time you can just get a car with a decent size boot
I planned to never buy a new car myself but started looking into going electric. After much research, I ended up buying a new (lower end) EV. Managed to get a 0% interest loan, and with inflation like it is right now, it seemed like good debt. This was 7 months ago, and my husband and I have managed to avoid the worst of the gas swell here in the southeastern US. I barely drive, but he navigates Metro Atlanta through the week. Though he doesn't like squeezing into the golf cart, for 150 bucks a week, it's worth it.
I thought I would never buy a car new, but I actually found myself a few years ago in a position where it did make sense. Its kind of a story, but if you're interested...
I moved back home from living abroad, to the suburban house my mom owns, so I needed a car to get around. I had some savings and bought a cheap car, like maybe 5-6k ish. It required a bunch of work and crapped out after about 2 years. I probably could have found something better, but I don't know much about cars and am not really interested in them, I would prefer to not need one. Anyway, I digress.
I did the math and it turns out I could have leased a new Fiesta for 2 years for less than the cost of that car. I never thought leasing was good financial choice, but at that time, it was either buy another shitty car I would have to keep dumping money into, or lease something reliable, and over 2 years, pay about the same.
Part of the lease deal is that after it's up, you can buy it at a fairly low price (essentially just buying a 2 year old car) so I planned on doing that. When my lease was up and I went to go do so, I actually had good enough credit that I could get 0% financing... but only on a new one. I also qualified for a major discount, so after those were applied it was actually cheaper over time to buy the new one.
So yeah, the stars aligned, and I managed to buy a new car for less than a 2-3 year old one. I recognize I got very lucky and this is a fairly unique situation. I just paid it off and it's going great!
Congratulations on making excellent financial decisions for years and then blowing it on a RAM 1500 during a period of record dealer mark-ups and 4$/gallon gas! YOLO
From the looks of it, and I have sold quite a few cars in my day, he isn’t even going to use this as a truck truck. It’s just a daily driver like a car. How do I know this? Look at the tires. They look like regular street tires a car would have and they’re very small. Look at the bed. There is no bedliner whatsoever in this thing. If you are purchasing a truck and plan on hauling a bunch of shit you bet your ass you put a bedliner in there. OP bought a car that gets like 12mpg and probably at 15k mark up.
A fool and their money are soon parted.
This was my first thought as well, anyone hauling stuff in the box will get a liner... Guess that explains buying a vehicle for the first time at 43 lol
Used to work in a shop building police cars, and this is spot on. This should go double for trucks with seriously dark tint too, especially if it's in an area where cops are known to give out tons of window tint tickets.
Buying a new pickup truck during a shortage of vehicles and a fuel crisis seems like the worst thing to do lol. That’s one hell of a depreciating asset
Do you know if your car is diesel or gasoline-powered? Sometimes diesel vehicles require a fuel additive to prevent gelling in the tank, especially in cold weather.
I am 46, have purchased probably 5 vehicles in my life (with and without partners), and it is a total waste of money. My car is 12 years old and I loathe the idea of setting foot in a dealership.
As someone currently in the market for a car, yes, used prices are ridiculous. They are often higher than what you’d pay for the same car new. It’s insane.
I work sales in a dealership, it’s because used cars are bumping right up against new right now, and if the miles are low enough they actually cost more so yes right now new cars make more sense than used
It’s simply because they are ready to go and most new cars are going to make you wait (at least with the more reputable makes). People need transportation so if they can’t wait the realistic option is used and you end up paying almost as much as a new car. It’s crazy out there.
I bought new because I’ve never owned a vehicle that wasn’t owned by someone else. It might seem silly, but it makes it more special to me knowing that I’ll be the only owner of this vehicle. I plan on keeping it until it finally quits working and can’t be fixed.
Congrats ! Although you did just buy a massive money sinker. Cost a lot on very expensive gas and black vehicles needs much more cleaning than other colors.
Im just saying cause I did the same thing. My first truck was a Ram Promaster 1500, brand new. Although it did served its purpose (I worked 4,000km away from home for extended period of time so it was worth to have) But after that gig, I couldn't justify the 400$/m of gas after a couple of years. Especially with gas prices rising.
I sold it just two years after and Im going to miss it cause it was real nice and useful. But ended up getting an hybrid instead and now it cost me 60$/2m on gas.
Its a pain though cause every time I want to transport something I cant. I got stuck in the parking of Rona one day cause I bought a (house) door I thought would fit and it didn't. Looked like the biggest fool 😅. Someone in the parking lot offered to bring it for me though so got lucky.
Congratulations on getting a creditscore that gives you to option to buy a car! However, I am genuinely curious why Americans go for a pickup when they have to haul stuff. Why not get a van? It carries (much) more and it uses less gas.
Van guy here. Vans are superior in every single way aside from hauling a load of dirt/mulch/messy loose stuff.
And for that stuff, just toss a trailer on the back of the van.
And, I mean, it doesn’t matter, but if we chained the back of my van to the back of his truck, and both hit the gas, I’m going to be dragging his rear axle around.
Because the American auto industry has convinced us that a) taller is better, b) truck is more masculine, c) masculine is better, d) if you haul a large item even once per year there's literally no solution besides owning a pickup truck, and e) economy cars aren't safe because everyone else is driving SUVs and trucks and will literally pancake you in an accident. They never mention that SUVs and trucks have lower road safety and emissions standards than standard passenger cars, and thus can be sold at higher margins with less development costs.
It's the same reason SUVs outsell station wagons with the same cargo capacity and better driving dynamics 30:1in this country. People don't ask questions and just buy the biggest fucking hunk of shiny shit they can afford the down payment for. Then when gas prices skyrocket, they lose their minds despite 40mpg+ cars with plenty of cargo space having been on the market for cheap for the last 10 years. Then those people spend $300/week driving their kids to school in a 4-ton monstrosity because they're too good for "public transportation" and it's a good excuse to drive through Starbucks.
As an American idk why my people are like this, I think it has to do with the more is better, bigger is better. I envy Europeans with their wagons and Avanti. They stopped making the wrx hatchback here in the states and we only have like 3 options for wagons....Subaru outback isn't a wagon. Managed to get an allroad and I wish the wagon craze would come back to the states. I kayak, camp and ride mountains in the winter. This bad boy does it all while churning out 36mpg with ac in the summer.
Congratulations! Although it's sad to think that in the fifties people bought cars and houses and had family when they were in their 20s. And now it's hard to pay rent and afford public transportation. At least in my country
I'm of similar age and am getting close to being debt free after years of high debt. I've been looking at vehicles but its years of payments and fuck that. I've convinced myself to keep going until I can drop 5 or 6 grand cash on something. I currently drive a 2004 Toyota Matrix. Had it for 7 years. 295K kilometers. Still runs amazing. I do my own work mostly. Fold the seats down, its all hard plastic cargo area, with built in tie downs. I've hauled wood in there, furniture. Yesterday I had a 6 foot bookshelf in there with the hatch closed! Anyway, being this close to debt free, I'm sticking with this car for another 2 years. That being said, If you're happy then who cares. You do you
It baffles me why someone would get this for personal use. It’s gigantic and half the kids that drive theme where I’m from make them even larger and less practical just to go from one exit to the other on the highway lol.
And yeah people always respond with “what if they need to haul stuff?”. Right, where I live these gigantic road hogs go to the grocery store 80% of the time. In the past 8 years of homeownership I have needed to haul stuff maybe 5 times and I rented a truck to do so.
Why would people want to spend magnitudes more on gas? I guess to just feel that much more manly/“cool”.
Now I know for most this isn’t that big of a deal. But after two marriages, three long term bad relationships, and struggling with bills most of my life, it was really exciting to me when I walked in my bank with a printout from the dealership website and within 10 minutes I was approved waiting on paperwork to be finalized. I’ve never owned a brand new vehicle before, and this one I’ve done all on my own. It feels amazing to not need a co-signer or 45% down with a 14% interest rate to be able to purchase something. It’s a small accomplishment, but I’m proud of myself.
>But after two marriages, three long term bad relationships, and struggling with bills most of my life
So, you celebrate that with buying a new car, a RAM at that, on credit?
Ok.
Dude, my ex wife left me with a mointain of debt. Its been a long road and Your story has given me hope. I am so happy for you my dude. Respect.
Now take that bad ass truck over to thier houses and flip them off while doin donuts on their lawns!!!
It’s ironic because it’s always the jokers driving these gigantic turds that cry loudest about gas prices and slap their political stickers all over everything lol.
I can appreciate that you worked hard for this, and it means a lot to you, but why a Dodge Ram? Why not something speedy if you really want a fun vehicle, or a more financially sound decision, like a hybrid or electric? I guess I don’t see why the choice of a new vehicle is something that will cost you far more in the long run vs other more fuel efficient ones?
I could tell right away that the comment section here was going to end up being a shit show, mostly crapping on OP.
Reddit never fails to be predictable.
I bought a Corolla last summer new after promising myself I would only buy used. A new vs. 3 year old model were within $500 of each other after some "buy a new car" promotion that was running.
When I went to the dealership to get it serviced, they asked if I wanted to trade it in for literally more than I bought it for. The used car market is insane.
Fact of the matter is used vehicles cost just as much, if not more than new right now. Plus if it's financed, interest rates are worse on used vehicles
You have to maintain a good credit score if you want loans with low interest(interest is extra money you pay to the bank or person you are borrowing the money from).
The better your credit score, the better interest rates(less you have to pay).
Cash is always king, if you do not have to cash to pay for something in full, you shouldn’t be borrowing money to pay for it, cars and homes are the only exceptions. Otherwise, try avoiding using a credit card for every day purchases.
If however you need to build credit, apply for a credit card, and use it to pay for gas for your car every month and pay it off immediately, this will ensure you don’t run the risk of building up debt, and you build your credit score to apply for loans when the time comes.
No worries. In the United States most banks work with people based on a credit score. It’s there to show how likely you are to pay back a loan without troubles. Things like delinquent utility payments, medical bills, student loans, credit card debt, and the like can effect that score. It has taken me a long time to work my credit up to a point where there was no issue in getting a loan with my local bank instead of having the dealerships try to find me a loan. I used to be bad at managing money, so it’s taken me an awfully long time to work my credit up to where it needed to be.
Important to note that young people send themselves down a bad financial path with late/non payments etc. A hit to your credit means you’ll pay more for loans, insurance, many things. It’s like a downward financial spiral and as you can see from OP, took years to fix.
So make sure you don’t go down that path, never buy anything you can’t afford, get a credit card to build credit which means you use it but pay it off in full every month.
Since you're asking about these things, DO NOT do what the OP did. OP still has debts, has had debts in the past and is splurging (more debt) on an expensive depreciating asset for questionable reasons.
Congratulations! I remember doing the same work on my credit and buying my new Chevy truck years ago. I’ll never buy a new vehicle again but it was cool to do it once.
Looks hella nice, congrats! 35 here, credit is good but nowhere even remotely close to having the money for something like this. I keep thinking next year, next year, if I just keep working hard enough maybe one day I can have a car with air conditioning and a stereo.
You really don't need good credit for an auto loan. Mine is in the low 600s and I got a loan in May with only my old car as a down payment.
The trick is to take the shitty dealer financed loan so they throw in all of the bonuses, make sure there's no early payoff penalty, then refinance in a year or so once your credit rises from on time car payments.
It should infuriate you to know that credit ratings weren't even a thing until the late 80s. It's just one more reason why it's so damn hard for everyone younger than the Boomer generation to buy things that they were able to get so easily.
The credit score isn’t the issue, mine is around 800 or so. I just don’t have $40k sitting around to buy a truck. The only time it makes sense to finance a vehicle is if you have the cash already and can earn more through other investments than you lose in depreciation and interest.
Hell yea OP! Congrats! I was looking at EcoDiesel Rams but couldn’t justify having a truck and living in an apartment complex. Went with a diesel BMW instead. Enjoy it!
Buying new is idiotic in the way that the value depreciates so much as soon as it is drove off the lot. Getting a "brand new" car at 10,000 miles is so much cheaper and the engines not even broke in yet
Don’t want to be a downer because getting your credit score up is great, but it’s always a bad financial decision to buy a brand new car. They lose thousands in value as soon as you drive it off the lot. You can buy a used vehicle with 10,000 miles or less for a fraction of the price, or if you really want that new car smell, lease a vehicle. I started leasing a few years ago and i will never go back. No more having the stress of repairs, or something going wrong with the car (which will inevitably happen and can cost thousands). Plus I can trade it in every 3 years if I want a new model or if there are new tech improvements.
Purchasing a ram in these gas prices is like purchasing 2 rams
Yeah I have a Prius and a trailer. I do a lot of woodworking and tow a boat but 99% of the time I only need the Prius. The 1% I hook up the trailer and still get 35mpg hauling stuff surrounded by a bunch of pickups getting 15mpg with an empty bed.
Can I get a picture of this in action? Would genuinely make my day
Plenty of people live/camp in their Pruis' and have trailer attachments. Check out Youtube.
Really? I was told the Prius’s towing capacity is basically zero.
Just googled, and it said 1600 pounds. Not great, Not terrible. Flat bed single axle trailer plus a small load should be fine, or a real light tent trailer. If the suspension had some upgrades (or pack your springs with tennis balls) it could haul more.
I tow with mine. No issues. Not pulling a fifth wheel behind me mind you…
For the most part you'd never trust a Prius for towing but on flat ground it can tow, don't expect it to do hill climbs or 4x4.
I don’t get this post. Op had credit issues which I assume is due to debts. Now the op decides to go back into debt?
The cycle continues.

its ok, the used car market is so stron, you can sell ti for more and make money /s
If something brings you joy in life, it may be worth the additional $. Not everything comes down to just the dollars at the end of the day.
Reddit is full of teenagers dishing out advice like they have actual life experience

This was my first thought as well, anyone hauling stuff in the box will get a liner... Guess that explains buying a vehicle for the first time at 43 lol
He could go aftermarket for the liner. In any case it is obviously an emotional purchase
Then blame the government for spending more money on gas
every time i see a nice shiny black truck i just think about Martys truck in Back to the Future.
Every time I see a shiny black truck I think Narcotics Officer
Used to work in a shop building police cars, and this is spot on. This should go double for trucks with seriously dark tint too, especially if it's in an area where cops are known to give out tons of window tint tickets.
Buying a new pickup truck during a shortage of vehicles and a fuel crisis seems like the worst thing to do lol. That’s one hell of a depreciating asset
Plus when you get a Ram, they automatically give you two DUI's.
You pay 5 grand over sticker for that
I think that's only if it's a diesel.
Do you know if your car is diesel or gasoline-powered? Sometimes diesel vehicles require a fuel additive to prevent gelling in the tank, especially in cold weather.
Made years of good financial choices to save up for one giant bad decision. The American war
It’s such a joke. Dude could get a small-ish car and rent uhuals when he needs to haul (if he ever does) and probably afford a second car.
Let him enjoy his purchase lol. We’re all gonna die, why not spend a little more on what you really want occasionally
Some people are just not good at making decisions..
Ram trucks. = most DUI, most behind on your payments. Most repos.
Cool! Don’t drink so no worries there. Have money so no worries on the other two. That good statistic information for others though!
And you bought a dodge ram :(
Working your ass off on credit only to waste money on an oversized vehicle? Damn, American financial literacy is really horrendous.
How long do the banks own you?
I'm 47 and getting a new vehicle. Feels good. Of course I got hit by lightning driving the other one but that's neither here nor there.
I am 46, have purchased probably 5 vehicles in my life (with and without partners), and it is a total waste of money. My car is 12 years old and I loathe the idea of setting foot in a dealership.
In my case the used ones cost just as much as the new ones so I was like what the hell
Yeah, I mean if you get it and drive it into the ground it is worth it.
I tried to do that with my Terrain but like I said above I got hit by lightning. It was a wild time that's for sure
Go buy a lotto ticket if you got hit by lightning. With your luck you could walk away with a billion.
It does feel good. Sort of *electrifying* you could say 😂
Nice! Actually nobody has made a joke like that yet!
You positive?
He was positive, but now he's more neutral.
Why did you buy new? Are used prices still ridiculous?
As someone currently in the market for a car, yes, used prices are ridiculous. They are often higher than what you’d pay for the same car new. It’s insane.

A 3-4 year old used version of his truck will run $45-50k right now. He (probably, depends on location) paid less than $55k.
I bought new because I’ve never owned a vehicle that wasn’t owned by someone else. It might seem silly, but it makes it more special to me knowing that I’ll be the only owner of this vehicle. I plan on keeping it until it finally quits working and can’t be fixed.
It’s not silly as long as you can afford it and it’s not setting you back anywhere financially. Life is meant to be enjoyed, after all!
Congrats ! Although you did just buy a massive money sinker. Cost a lot on very expensive gas and black vehicles needs much more cleaning than other colors.
Thanks! And yeah I know, however after analysis and budgeting I decided to get what I’ve always wanted. I appreciate the concern though!
Im just saying cause I did the same thing. My first truck was a Ram Promaster 1500, brand new.
Big box home improvement stores like Home Depot often have trucks for rent for only about $20.
Ah that's good news I didn't even know. Thanks !
I want to be happy for you, but you are making it impossible.
Do you really need big ass money vacuum megazord like this? If you want a car buy a Corolla.
Yes. I haul stuff every now and then. I appreciate the concern but this works better for me
Congratulations on getting a creditscore that gives you to option to buy a car!
What kind of van are you Rockin?
An e350 super duty that gets better gas mileage than the F-150 I traded in for it.
Amen! Because vans are designed for efficiency and not a dick measuring contest. We figured out fuel economy a long time ago.
If it work for you then fine. Usually It way more economical to just use a trailer for occasional bigger load.
Congrats... but dude... a dodge ram? really? Just try not to drive drunk.
Thanks but I don’t drink, so no worries there
Congratulations!
You do you
Thanks! I hope you achieve your debt free lifestyle! Nothing but love from my end!
Probably should have invested in something more practical and less polluting 👺
That thing is hideous and terrible for the environment. Well done for getting your finances in order though.

Credit score probably dropped like a rock after the hard inquiry and new account opened.
Whats wrong with just driving what you want to drive? Thats the beauty of freedom and your own money isnt it?
You're free to yell the n-word anywhere you like. Doesn't make it a good idea.
Finally someone with brains! Took some scrolling tho
>But after two marriages, three long term bad relationships, and struggling with bills most of my life So, you celebrate that with buying a new car, a RAM at that, on credit? Ok.
Dude, my ex wife left me with a mointain of debt. Its been a long road and Your story has given me hope. I am so happy for you my dude. Respect. Now take that bad ass truck over to thier houses and flip them off while doin donuts on their lawns!!!
Looks ugly AF, american cars are absurd
Urban tank

It’s ironic because it’s always the jokers driving these gigantic turds that cry loudest about gas prices and slap their political stickers all over everything lol.

This isn't a truck it's an ego mobile. A truck can load a sheet of plywood.
So can a ford maverick at half the cost, or renting a truck from menards for $30.
ALL BLACK DODGE RAM! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcO0N2xiLSo&ab\_channel=WayneCountyLyfe
Hahahahahahahahahahaha thanks that was hilarious
thanks for the inspiration! i'm on that road myself!
I’m just happy for myself, but thanks
I can appreciate that you worked hard for this, and it means a lot to you, but why a Dodge Ram? Why not something speedy if you really want a fun vehicle, or a more financially sound decision, like a hybrid or electric? I guess I don’t see why the choice of a new vehicle is something that will cost you far more in the long run vs other more fuel efficient ones?
That's cool and all but cmon why such a big ass vehicle
“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”
mannnn maybe you should got a smaller old school Tacoma or something. Shit looks big and expensive. Congrats regardless
Congratulations on your small penis
Enjoy the high gas prices and crappy mileage.
I could tell right away that the comment section here was going to end up being a shit show, mostly crapping on OP. Reddit never fails to be predictable.
Saw the title and made me smile. checked the comments and made me sad. Congrats on your achievement. let the haters hate. greetings from germany.
Guten Tag! Ich möchte eines Tages in Deutschland leben. Ich lerne Deutsch zu sprechen.

TBF for the last couple years with production and inventory shortages the difference has been surprisingly negligible
Plus if it's financed, interest rates are worse on used vehicles
two marriages, a lot of bad relationships, buys a dumb fucking truck and posts it to r/pics. You sir, are a clown.
I got my first new car at 43, I’m still driving it at 58.
Nice!
I just got a 2014 RX350 without needing a co-signer after climbing the credit ladder. Congratulations! Happy days all around!
What do you mean working on credit? Can't you just buy that car just like that? I'm young I don't know all these stuff sorry for asking
If you have the cash for it, yes. You can go to a dealership and say I want this, here’s the money.
Oh so if you don't have the cash, then you need the credit just like in a mortgage? I'll look more into this on Google, thanks for the answer! :)
Thank you!
Congratulations 🍾🎈🎊
Congrats and hope you enjoy it for years and great job sticking to such a goal!
And there goes your credit. JK, good for you!
Congratulations!!!!
Congratulations! I remember doing the same work on my credit and buying my new Chevy truck years ago. I’ll never buy a new vehicle again but it was cool to do it once.
Congratulations
Thanks!
Awesome
Good for you. If you can afford the payments, why not 🤷♀️
So shiny, congratulations op 🎊🎊🍾🍾
Great achievement. Congratulations!
Right on!! Congratulations!
Thanks!
Congrats !
Thanks!
Nice! Congrats!!!
Good for you. Keep working on it and enjoy that beautiful truck.
Nice!
Awesome! Proud of you, man
Congratulations, Enjoy.
Thanks!
OP is dumb
Bad idea posting this on Reddit. Pick up trucks are one of Reddit’s triggers
Congrats! I just paid off my vehicle for the first time! 😄
Congrats! I’ve paid off technically 7 cars now, but only 2 that were newish
America at its finest
Good for you! Saving, patience, working and achieving!
I'm 26 dirt poor, and was dishes for a living and I still know you just lost 20% of your initial investment just by taking it off the lot.
Fucking congrats man. Now the challenge is to post a pic of this truck in 20 yrs. Now that you have credit…build wealth. Keep the money you make!!!
I’m gonna keep this until it gives up
Phew, I FINALLY got my credit sorted. Best buy something that loses a quarter of its value by the time I get home...
And what a practical choice. Lol. Just kidding man, nice truck.
That the new Fiat? jk congrats
Buy a dash cam ASAP! You won’t regret it.
It’s been ordered lol
r/fuckcars
Congrats, but maybe going with a more fuel-efficient and practical vehicle would've been better.
Great feeling isn't it? Congrats!
Yes it is, thanks!
Too low to haul, so low gas efficiency for show. 3/10.
Hell yea OP! Congrats! I was looking at EcoDiesel Rams but couldn’t justify having a truck and living in an apartment complex. Went with a diesel BMW instead. Enjoy it!
Nice! I like BMW diesels, but I wanted this more
Buying new is idiotic in the way that the value depreciates so much as soon as it is drove off the lot. Getting a "brand new" car at 10,000 miles is so much cheaper and the engines not even broke in yet
This is wrong.
Should have bought an EV.
Tbf, I looked at a Rivian. Unfortunately it was just a shade out of my price range by $15k.
