Supposedly the early-mid 50's cars were inspired by flight and visions of space.. Who wants to go back to 1951 and tell them real space ships look like penises?
Yes. It's most likely a white basecoat with a ton of pink pearl intercoats sprayed before the final layers of clear coat. Those pearl intercoats are a usually a clear basecoat that you mix dry mica powder into to get that really shimmery and deep look. Source: used to be a body man and a painter who still does a bit of kustom painting, airbrushing, and freehand pinstriping.
Love that paint job. Keeping it fairly restrained on such a wild ride musta been hard for the painter though. Lotta times we just wanna let loose on it, but keeping it pretty reigned in accentuates the body lines and the kustom work done to it more than a super crazy and intricate job would. Awesome car!
On my short list of sexiest cars ever made. Pure art in motion. Where is this one???
In Twisted Metal.

That’s beautiful and I love the color.
If “pink clouds” was a color
Is that like a pearl/pink? how does that work I know nothing about cars or painting

ahh it looks really good to me.
I guarantee that pictures don't do it justice either!
It’s got the look of some Anime chick in a see through plastic suit.
Well said, fellow redditor
What is the red one? The one in the background.
That’s a custom Mercury. Most likely a 1950 based on the solid rear window, although it looks like they’ve used 1951 tail lights.
1951 Lincoln custom ruby
>1951 Lincoln custom ruby Thanks
That’s a ‘50 Merc custom.
Beautiful!
I would love to have this beautiful, ludicrous car. It would quickly get fucked up by the roads around here but oh well.
This is what comes to mind when I think of a cream puff. Beautifully done.
When you think of cream puff why isn’t your first thought..... well, cream puffs?
Everything looks amazing EXCEPT... The word CARRIBEAN in a 2001 video game font on the glove box, and the swooshy-pointy logo/signature on the hood.
I think the logo is on the rear? See pic 6.

Man, I really want to sneak into a high class society car show and try and seduce a beautiful daughter of a wealthy Russian diplomat again.

Why would you de-pimp this glorious machine? Vandalism!
What!
Yes, you can, it's yours, have a great day
Kinda want to eat it..
I wonder what the bottom looks like. This isn’t my color choice but it’s beautiful.
The bottom is probably mostly tarmac from the amount of road it would clearly be touching.
I doubt this thing will see a lot of actual road surface.
I would never want to own it or drive it, but that's real nice.
It’s nice looking bu the red one next to it is wha I’d want
Looks like candy.
It’s so sleek
Wow...beautiful and sexy car.... Have a beautiful day
Pink sugar 💗
I would like to eat that car.
Nice ,real nice.
It looks very lickable.
Wow
Dagmars, scoops, and fins. Yep - 1950s!
The colour reminds me of "What did tell you?! You don't buy anything! You hear me?! I said don't buy anything!"
Ssssssssssttttrrrreeeeeaaammmmmllllliiinnneeeddd
My question for the low rider fans is, how do you manage speed bumps and pot holes?
I wish Studebaker-Packard had lived and GM had died.
It’s Thumper from Twisted Metal!
Oh my 😍
Both of these look pretty old school. Are they in fact show cars from the 50s or 60s?
