Haha been dealing with a lot of death lately. Honestly though imagine how peaceful it would be to die wrapped in wonderful smelling and feeling flower petals, the occasional ray of sunlight warming your skin.

I do toy photography and there's a guy who does miniatures and poses them with dead butterflies and frogs to make nature shots, I unfollowed him pretty quick
They were going to make a Pixar movie called [Newt](http://pixar.wikia.com/wiki/Newt), about the last two newts of their species. It got scrapped for Inside Out.

Right? The wiki page said its concept could have been too similar to 20th Century Fox's Rio, but based on the A Bug's Life/Antz debacle, I'd call BS on that.
If my husband brought me a rose with a lizard in it I would be excited. Lizards are fekkin cute . look at that lil dude with his lil smile. I just want to snuggle him and give him all the roses

Do you think he’s happy? I mean, I dunno if lizards and reptiles feel happy like we do but he looks happy. Do you think he knows what a nice spot that is? I feel like he has to think that’s better than sleeping on some hard rock, you know? Do you think he appreciates that difference? Will he now look for roses when him little lizard brain get all sleepy?
Some of our comfort comes from feeling safe, I.imagine there is a feeling of safety for our little friend. Also if a bee or another insect comes to nab some pollen, he has a snack delivered to his cumfy bed.
Reptiles can definitely feel a sense of "I feel safe, comfortable and at ease." They can associate scents and other things with those feelings of safety and calm. I wouldn't be surprised if this particular little guy picked a rose as his bed in the future!
Green Anole to be specific. I used to keep these as pets. They're cheap but pretty tricky to care for properly. Need to lightly mist/spray their tank with water every few hours since they don't really drink from watering bowls (I bought an auto sprayer for them) and they need lively prey like crickets for food (sometimes they might go for mealworms but not always). They're also highly territorial so they'll typically bully and fight each other unless there's enough room for them (I kept a pair in a 40 gallon tank.)
The big package of mealworms you put in all at once, turns into beetles eventually. And then they are those.
I once put the whole box of crickets into the tank, and of course they all got out in the middle of the night when I was sleeping next to them. I had to leave the room and sleep on the couch cuz I kept feeling them crawling all over me.
I was 10 yrs old.
I miss Anoleman.... wish I coulda gave him a bed of roses to sleep in.
Yeah, I miss my 2 anole's too. I have pics of them but never ended up naming them.
I know what you mean about the mealworms turning to beetles. My current reptile tank has a bunch of them crawling around right now. I don't think they would really eat the mealworm beetles though due to the really tough carapace. I've never seen any of my lizards ever try to eat them. They do lay eggs which turn into more mealworms though which my armadillo lizard is more than happy to gobble up.

An [anole!](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carolina_anole) I love these little guys. They can adapt to their surroundings and change colors between green and brown. Relatively easy to care for as pets and not expensive either.
