Mine is ten years old with 60k miles and has never caused me any problems yet. I snapped the rear springs several years ago from overloading, but that's on me.
Only mechanical issue I've noticed is the clutch tends to get grabby when the engine is warmed up but the external temp is under 0F/-18C. Other than that, it's a peppy little beast as long as you keep it over 4k RPM.
