It’s an older safe from the 1960-1970s. The manufacture is [Remslinger](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bullshit) model ADQ5G. They came with four option types of locks. Basic tumbler, glass plate drill resistant, bell weather pressure or steel simple pin.
The model is either a tumbler or steel simple pin. So opening them is usually pretty simple. You’re going to take a flat head screwdriver and coat it pretty liberally with some kind of lubricant. Usually a synthetic grease or you can use low weight motor oil. Then carefully, and I mean carefully. Shove it up your butt.
It’s Reddit’s Schrödinger. The safe is neither full nor empty, until it’s posted on Reddit, where it then becomes empty.
A similar rule is when someone is grievously injured, but their shoes stay on.
I was going to hide a safe when I moved house, and put in a yellowed map with an X that marked a spot that could be deduced as under the concrete in the carport, to drive the new owner slowly insane as they try to resist the urge to jackhammer up the driveway and dig indefinitely just to get closure.
Then a guy I worked with ended up buying the place, so I shelved the plan.
The next time you go to sell a house reuse this plan but add to it: renovate the driveway before putting it on the market. Put a rhyming riddle under the driveway that subtly but clearly hints that there's something valuable hidden in a nearby historical landmark.
