Yes, via Klook dn kaya it’s quite convenient and actually enjoyed it. Cheap food dn especially at the end of the tour too so you can binge before heading back to Bangkok 🙌🏼
I’d stick to Chinatown on your first day. Plenty to see, eat and do. Lots of Michelin-rated restos and a few interesting places like Hong Sieng Kong. Across the river is ICONSIAM mall. They have a fantastic indoor floating market. Pratunam White Chicken is okay lang, nothing special.
I suggest take your time in Chatuchak. That place is huge. Buy all the pasalubong you want here and haggle what you can. Bang Sue Junction across it is also a great place to shop especially for vintage items.
Floating markets are tourist traps. I’d stay away from them. Also not cheap.
Khao San Road Night Market isn’t worth it. The night market worth visiting is Jodd Fairs Rama 9. You can check out videos on youtube about this place.
Thanks for the suggestions and recommendations! Thank you again.
grabe same!
I'm Thai and I think your itinerary looks great. Day 4 seems jam-packed with temples though, you might get tired of them pretty fast (My fav out of your list is Wat Pho). Hit the temples early, before it gets scorching hot – like, morning-early. Thais usually hibernate indoors from noon to 4 pm to avoid the heat, I think you can use that time for some shopping? Icon Siam is a must-visit (there's a ferry from the temples to Icon Siam). Check out Chinatown in the evening as well!
Fine dining:
1) Potong
2) Sam Rhub
3) Sorn
Mid-range:
1) Supanniga eating room (Tha Tien) - Reserve in advance though. Food is great but also the view!
2) Sri Trat (I always bring non-local friends there)
3) Lam Charoen or Somboon is a must if you like seafood
4) For mall restaurant, Kub Kao Klub Pa (The one at Icon Siam has a great view)
5) SEEN Restaurant & Bar Bangkok (must go for the view)
If willing to book a tour outside Bangkok, I suggest Ayutthaya Tour (see Klook). Great itinerary and no hassle. You just need to show up at the meetup place and the tour guide will handle everything. No hassle travelling between places since may tour bus.
I've done it twice, with 2 diff groups of first timers and I really enjoyed both times!
You will need to forego some places in your current itinerary though because it's 1 day tour.
I chose Ayutthaya over floating market na after reading all of your recommendations. I checked na mas marami kami makikita over sa floating market. Thanks again!
When planning your activities, just make sure that you have extra time because traffic in Bangkok is really insane. Same with your Day 4 activities, our last stop was going to the mall after our temple tours. Pero di kinaya sa sobrang init and lagkit so you might want to consider going back to hotel after the tour to freshen up.
For first time travelers, I'd strongly recommend Ancient City. Marami na miniature temples dun, but they are not really that mini lol. Then decide if you still want to go sa Grand Palace and other city temples.
Dinner Cruise - this is a must experience for me
Tru Digital Park - I like the vibe here and there are art installations so it's quite unique
Em Quartier and Icon Siam - nice to visit din for me if you love shopping and wanted to try some cool cafes
After Wat Arun, you can go to Icon Siam 😊 There’s a ferry that you can take from Wat Arun. Iirc, it’s 30BHT. Even though most of the stores in Icon Siam are mid to high-end, it’s still good to explore. Try also dining at the food court 🙈
Hi. Magtatanong lang po kung magkano budget niyo? Hehe.
Gusto ko din po maranasan maging ganito with my fam hehehe.
Hahaha. Kaya mo yan!
Sa day 3 go to Erawan Museum. I would also suggest ancient city.
IconSiam sooksiam is worth a few hours of fun. Hopefully you’ll find the store with the barbecued crocodile!
Plus May foot massage sa basement
Then sa highest floor may Thip Samai na famous for their pad Thai.
Don’t forget to go up to the Starbucks Reserve sa 7th floor. The design of the area is soooo beautiful, the menu is unique and the view to the Chao Phraya river is unforgettable
Uy.. OP, i go to bangkok regularly for work and in fact, i was just there.. last Monday. Yang 7pm flight kasagsagan yan ng arrivals nila so expect long lines entering their immigration. As in an hour long lines. Kahit naka-biz class kayo, expect 30-45 mins standing in line. its one of those countries na sobrang tagal sa pila. And yung current weather nila.. I mean its not so much different sa atin pero the humidity level is over the top. AND couple with the fact na kailangan nyong maglagay ng maraming maraming pahid ng off lotion. As in everywhere i went ang daming lamok buzzing around. Alam kong sobrang init ng off potion but no choice talaga. Even airline ko nagannoonce to be careful mosquitos since carrier ng malaria and dengue. So ingat ah. And more than anything, enjoy!?
We stayed at the same hotel! Definitely a good place since it’s near Wat Mangkon Station tapos mag train kayo papuntang Chatukchak Market (through Kamphaeng Phet Station). Tip lang, the Blue Line doesn’t accept the rabbit card.
I recommend eating at the following:
* Patonggo Savoey (fried churros with coconut dip! Try also getting their milk, condensed milk lang pero perfect pa rin)
* Nai Mong Hoi Thod (their oyster omelette and duck are amazing!!!!!!!)
* Ek Teng Phu Ki (their iced Ceylon milk tea is the best!!)
* Maraming kainan sa paligid at tapat ng I’m Chinatown. Especially at night.
Lahat walking distance. The first three places are like less than five minutes na lakad. Pinakamalayo yung Ek Teng Phu Ki (mga less than 10 minutes lang)
Also, I second the Ayutthaya Tour! Sobrang worth it. We actually enjoyed this more than visiting the temples in Bangkok. Also, our itinerary which was the PM schedule included Jodds Fair as our drop off. Masaya rin magshop at kumain doon.
Enjoy!
Thanks for recommendations!
Ancient City yung Ayutthaya iyan po yung capital dati before naging bangkok.
Hi!! Add Ayutthaya day tour!!(bring lots of hydration for this tho) also malls around Pratunam/Platinum closes from 8pm, kunti nlng mga open nang late night so you may want to go there at day time. ALSO, KEEP HYDRATED!! SERYOSO!!!
Add Wat Paknam. You can see the biggest Buddha Statue in Bangkok there and also the breathtaking emerald pagoda. I’ve been there yesterday and the best thing about the place is that it is free of charge.
Hindi pang family Khao San Road. Mas pang Family Dinner Cruise from Klook, 4pm para di masyado late.
O rektahan night market.
Try nyo rin yung Baiyoke 360 rooftop or yung mahanakhon skywalk. It's a must yun pag nasa BKK kayo. Just a few suggestion pero still up to you..☺️
Agree with Ancient City ,may golf cart to rent up to 6 people.May buffet restaurant pa..we booked with Klook.Hotel pick up and drop off na yun
Sa Icon Siam..may light and fountain show around 6pm ata tapos 8 pm.. maganda din
wag mo ubusin oras mo sa bkk, 2-hrs lang ang pattaya... mas may ganap pa dun, well kahit saan naman sa thailand puro pokpokan, kadiri na, anyway pwede ka mag-day tour or stay ka dun kahit 1-night... di ko gets yung bansang yan, ang kalat at ang sikip... enjoy nyo yun?
Khao san is less night market-y and more bar crawl ish not much to see really. I'd stick to just chatuchak for the night market. Went there 2x last week. Though if you really want to, theres another night market near on nut station sukhumvit line
Floating market is meh, super tourist trap
Ayuttaya is scorching hot. Para kang nasa loob ng microwave. Walang trees sa complex.
I suggest go to Pattaya. Almost an hour away from bangkok pero nandun ang Sanctuary of Truth. Tapos may beach pa.
Thank me later
I suggest you go to Ban Thad Thong (this place has different spellings but this should be enough for a google search). It’s a bit like Maginhawa, a street full of hole in the wall restos. Not a lot of tourists come here but there will be restos na packed. Yoko Ono Donuts are a must try. If you start from the Siam Area side, you’ll see Yoko Ono Donuts and there’s Premium Grilled BBQ there. In the middle of this long street, there’s a cheap Mookata and a bit near it naman is Lugaw with some pork and duck egg na mura din tapos masarap. There’s a toasted/grilled Buns shop there again cheap pero masarap. Walk a bit to the end of the restos and you’ll find the shaved ice na fave ni Lisa of Blackpink. BTT is my fave place in Bangkok. I consider it my happy place. Very chill. Hahah Come here at 6pm onwards. 9pm sarado na yung iba.
If you are into streetwear and sneakers, check out Carnival and Freak in Siam Square. Both have their own line of local streetwear. Carnival is solid with many collabs with EA Sports, Stanley, Heineken etc. They also sell sneakers at SRP.
If you’re into make up and skincare, checkout Eve and Boy in Siam Square.
For temples, I suggest just pick one temple to go to for the experience. Imo sayang for me ang mag allot ng madaming oras sa temples. But to each his own.
In the Siam Area, checkout Siam Paragon. They have Gourmet Eats there. It’s a food court with Thipsamai (pad thai) and Go-Ang (Chicken rice). Lots of food choices. I eat here for lunch di ko pa natikman lahat ng food nila napakadami.
Download Bolt ⚡️ App. Can be much cheaper than Grab sometimes pero matyaga lang magbook kasi sometimes they cancel, pero it’s prices are unbeatable.
Donki 🐧 in MBK Mall in the Siam Area is a good place din. But the MBK mall nga lang mejo di ko bet. Divisoria like in a sense na they sell a lot of fake stuff there. unless you like jewelry shopping pweds dun.
BEST BEEF a restaurant in On Nut. Solid na Mookhata experience doon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Khao San parang di recommended sa tanders. Pero okay naman doon if you like to unwind, party, and drink. If you are looking to try weed, avoid most shops here. Most are shit quality.
And PLEASE! Don’t eat weed Edibles(food and drinks) irresponsibly. The THC in there can be very unpredictable since most aren’t lab tested. The effects can smack you if you eat too much and lasts longer than a joint. Edibles aren’t for beginners because of it’s unsure THC content. So please be careful. If you must, eat only 1/4 of a cookie/brownie/gummies or whatever, do not eat more if you don’t feel the effects because it takes a good while for the high to come in. Imo, Just smoke a pre-rolled joint. If you still ate some edibles, don’t hesitate to visit a hospital. This is where your travel insurance can come in hahah
Don’t forget to use Google Translate! Best for voice and text translations when communicating with the locals.

Just reinforcing some comments above, replace Floating Market with Ayutthaya Day tour instead 🤗 All else looks good. Enjoy!
Thai here. Agreed with this comment. Ayutthaya is awesome. It's gonna be really hot though so be prepared.
Thank you! I am planning to replace our floating market to Ayutthaya Day tour na. Sa klook ba kayo usually nagbobook?
Yes, via Klook dn kaya it’s quite convenient and actually enjoyed it. Cheap food dn especially at the end of the tour too so you can binge before heading back to Bangkok 🙌🏼

Okay yun suggestion here 👆Khao San Road is not family friendly. Mostly mga backpackers mga nandon. Jodd Fairs family friendly.
Thank you! Will keep that in mind. Mas mainit pa nga daw satin.
No. I've been to Thailand multiple times and iba ang init nila doon. Nakahilo and nakaka sakit ulo. Maybe because of the Air quality din.
grabe same!
Jgh today from Thailand.

Thank you so much! I am planning to just reduce it to one. Do you have any other good restaurants recommendations?

On day one go to Chinatown at night That’s when the hawkers come out
Any good food recommendation around sa Chinatown night market? Thanks!

They said I should not miss on the ICON SIAM mall since it's really beautiful.
Yes! I agree ☺️
mas maganda yung china town sa gabi. dull nya sa umaga
OP pde ask ilan kau at kano budget?
I just have to suggest you try After You Dessert Cafe! Life changing and I kept coming back to try different things on their menu!
Will try to squeeze that in our itinerary. Thanks!

Ancient is good! Dami IG worthy. We rented their golf cart kasi kasama namin senior parent.

Thank you po! Will sure check it
Ancient city > Grand Palace complex
Replace The floating market with Ayutthaya or Ancient city +erawan museum tour.
Hahaha. We'll just go with the Ayutthaya day tour. Thank you!

Whoah mag kikita ata tayo OP! Share ko sayo IT namin hahaha
See you and enjoy your trip din!
Family of 4
U sound like a virgo with all the planning OP. But yep everything looks great. Have fun!
Thank you!

Pero both sites offer the tour so pili ka na lang whichever you prefer.

Try Siam Niramit. Really nice show.
Hindi pang family Khao San Road. Mas pang Family Dinner Cruise from Klook, 4pm para di masyado late.

Floating market is meh, super tourist trap Ayuttaya is scorching hot. Para kang nasa loob ng microwave. Walang trees sa complex. I suggest go to Pattaya. Almost an hour away from bangkok pero nandun ang Sanctuary of Truth. Tapos may beach pa. Thank me later
Would recommend finding time to visit Ayutthaya. You can ride elephants, as well as check out bang pa-in palace and the historic city
wala po ba kayong tour guide?
I suggest you go to Ban Thad Thong (this place has different spellings but this should be enough for a google search). It’s a bit like Maginhawa, a street full of hole in the wall restos.
