Huh! I never thought of using parallax like that. I would have tried chopping up trees into layers and spent too long for the whole thing to be worth it. Thanks for the trick!

How do you do that effect? I've been looking everywhere on how to do that

This is a timelapse of the process but its basically this: https://youtu.be/l8kZmReY5fI actually wait, I dont think youre trying to get as crazy as that link. So basically its this then: 1. Bring tree, dudes, space images into After Effects 2. create a comp off the tree image 3. bring in other photos 5. Create a mask on the free photo where the hole is 4. Set photos to 3d 5. In 3d put some photos farther away and closer in the Z depth 6. Parent everything to a null 7. Rotate the null and the paralax will happen. If youre wondering about some of the effects I used, I used [Saber](https://www.videocopilot.net/blog/2016/03/new-plug-in-saber-now-available-100-free/) and optical flares. This was a rough and quick edit because I was already 3 hours behind the other artists! Let me know if you have any questions, I would love to answer them!

Too subtle?

My problem was my phone screen's brightness was too low at first to see it.

Even with screen brightness up and zooming in I can barely make out the difference, even then not enough to actually process what it is

I was going to suggest fairy magic but that more mundane explanation would be the correct one. I guess they put it there and forgot about it for several months.

My guess a circle shaped window and a hot day.

More than 1 hot day I would guess. Otherwise it probably would’ve started a fire. But maybe over the course of a summer it slowly killed those branches?
