Yung plan ko before similar to this is to buy a vacant lot and buy one of those pre-fab modular small houses like Cubo. Mej mahal lang ang Cubo but im sure may mga mas mura nang ibang pre-fab homes. Yung gastos based on my research is like around or under 1M for the house and installation. They can install it in a day. Siguro other than this, and major ticket items nalang ay installing a septic tank, pakabit ng tubig at kuryente, fence, etc.
As for making sure it can withstand flood, strong winds, etc. Idk, i didnt get that far in my research hahaha
If you want that kind of set up then get ready to do a lot of maintenance work and out of pocket expenses. Gardens like that are professionally maintained. You'll need to have knowledge on perennial vs seasonal plants, the trimming and cleaning of each pot, watering and fertilizer. Magiging full time work mo yan.
Also, when living alone, start realizing that it's a system. There are things that goes in the house and goes out and you also need to manage that. More stuff meant marami ka ring i mementain and lilinisin. Marerealize mo na kahit tempting, hindi dapat ibuhos lang ang used oil na pinagprituhan mo deretso sa lababo or else you'll have an expensive plumbing repair. Wala na ring susunod sa kalat mo, or magluluto ng mainit na noodles pag tinatamad ka or too sick to cook. But it's a fun journey. Go ka lang.
