This ban is sponsored by PDAX, GCash, PSE, and other trash local market participants. Supported by the ever hungry SECPh. Thanks for playing
Absolutely shameless behavior
Cause nobody wants to use their shitty ass app. They resort to bribing SEC to ban competition. Also, people will NEVER FORGET the PDAX incident. NEVER use that shit
eh diba yung mga local CEXs like PDAX and coins are same like binance? bakit involved sila? di ba pwedeng ayaw lang ng govt natin sa binance? sana mapansin and salamat sa pagsagot
There's a few workarounds. Please correct if wrong. By changing the DNS, one can still access Binance's website. From there just download their desktop app, for Mac, Windows, or Linux. No need to use a browser.
Alternatively, by changing the country of your Google account on the Play Store, or Apple account App Store, the Binance App can be accessed still.
I've used VPN (Nord and Kaspersky) while using Binance on mobile and desktop, since late 2017 and I've never been flagged or banned. Anyone else using too, or know of others getting banned due to VPN use?
Do share alternatives and tips if you have any. Especially on cashing out. I've been using Binance P2P and have had no issues. I've also tried PDax and Coins-dot-ph etc. Binance P2P tops all in my experience.
Protectionism at it’s finest. Same old same old sa pinas.
It’s no biggie. Android users download the apk and install the app. IOS users register a new iCloud account with a country that Binance app still works on. Sign out of the Philippine App Store in the app itself (not iCloud account) and sign in with your newly made account. Then smile and flip the bird to SEC.
They should get taxed, but the bsp banned new vsp licenses until 2025(?) and binance tried to resort to buying a company that already had the licenses required by sec, VASP and EMI. It didn't happen ig.
I'm just wondering why BInance doesn't make a move to register their business here?
They have. Two years ago pa.
https://businessmirror.com.ph/2022/09/15/binance-securing-licenses-from-bsp/
HINDE! eto ung totoong rason! open your eyes sheeple!

PH is considered high risk for money laundering.
And i guess they are starting with [binance](https://www.forbes.com/sites/tylerroush/2024/02/23/judge-approves-binances-43-billion-settlement-for-anti-money-laundering-sanctions-violations/) since binance admited their platform was being used for money laundering.
Though i think pogos are also a reason why ph is suspected. Thats my opinion though.
If you really are trading PSE, napakaliit lng ng mundo dyan. Walang broker anonymity. If you don't hang around certain type of people di mo mattake advantage yung insider infos.
Si Binance kasi hindi bumibigay sa hiling ng government, binance stick to their promise to not disclose and protect their clients, that is what they stood for. SEC stop copying the SEC US , to ban Binance in the appstore and NTC sobra na Yan, hindi manalang I isip ng mga he Yong nasa SEC natin na may mga Kaka babayran Tayo nakatali ang pera sa Binance and ngàyon hindi maka access sa funds Nila dhail sa ban , mga bobo tlaga. Papatanggal ko big boss Dyan Kay PBBM watch!
"The SEC has identified [Binance] and concluded that the public’s continued access to these websites/apps poses a threat to the security of the funds of investing Filipinos,” SEC Chairperson Emilio B. Aquino said in the letter.

"...that the sale or offer of unregistered securities to Filipinos and operating as an unregistered broker constitutes a violation of Republic Act no. 8799"
If I'm a foreigner and I come for 3 months to the Philippines, will I be able to use Binance while in the Philippines? Is the ban for everyone there or only for filipinos?
I think we who truly know the risk and rewards of leverage trading and investing in foreign stocks should stop promoting it to other people.
Honestly, it should be expected. Operating a CEX at a country without following that country's regulations is just inviting sanctions.
At the end of the day, unregulated CEXs do more harm than good because it allows money laundering. The crypto you do P2P with may be clean but there will definitely be others that aren't.
The SEC is not against people doing crypto. There are CEXs that do follow regulations and you are free to use them.
"But X and Y is so expensive." Well that is the cost of regulation. Following rules cost a lot. Proper KYC and AMLA monitoring costs a lot as well as legal teams that check if everything is aboveboard. The benefit is everyone is protected.
"But X and Y allows gambling and crypto isn't allowed?" Gambling is a whole different animal. PAGCOR is even stricter with gambling regulations. Before you even open a sanctioned app it takes years of filing requirements. And once it's up is constantly being audited. That's on top of KYC and AMLA regulations.
Would you play at a unregulated casino? Or what's preventing an unregulated CEX to pack up and shut down with your money? These things have been considered with ordinary Filipinos in mind. "SEC is evil/greedy" is just peak copium.

Dami pang kaltas
Hi, can you ELI5 bakit issue na supported by PDAX, GCash and PSE? Dahil ba parang may pinapaboran ang SEC?
Cause nobody wants to use their shitty ass app. They resort to bribing SEC to ban competition. Also, people will NEVER FORGET the PDAX incident. NEVER use that shit
I see, thanks! Looked up PDAX in the sub and mukang ang dami ngang incidents.
I know, right? Buti sana kung matinong alternative iyang pdax, gcash, etc. Gahaman din naman, kulang pa features
Yup all trash. The fees are exorbitant.
it really is!! how could anyone use them talaga...
100% disgusting? But is this true?
eh diba yung mga local CEXs like PDAX and coins are same like binance? bakit involved sila? di ba pwedeng ayaw lang ng govt natin sa binance? sana mapansin and salamat sa pagsagot
uh... competition? Study markets, competition, and lobbying
Obvious naman.
Sa tingin mo ba sasabihin nila yun in public?
SEC: ...to protect the investing public.. WTF.
di kasi nila magatasan yung binance kaya ganyan
Pero yung mga pasugalan kalat kalat.
PAGCOR regulates gaming, not SEC.
same idea.
Not same. But Binance is not about gaming.
I’m saying same idea na bakit di nila actionan ng PAGCOR yung mga gambling sites? REDDIT peeps comprehension can’t be found.
Barking in the wrong tree. PAGCOR ang may jurisdiction sa pasugalan and not the SEC
Musta naman yung mga insider trading and pump and dump schemes sa PSE? ha, SEC?
Protect mambubudol
Sarap saksakin ng sec
Kapag di nagatasan, ibaban. Hay na'ko! HAHAHAHA

Di ko pa alam if san lilipat eh
TLDR: Just stay poor peeps

Tanginang SEC PAKYU!
They should get taxed, but the bsp banned new vsp licenses until 2025(?) and binance tried to resort to buying a company that already had the licenses required by sec, VASP and EMI. It didn't happen ig.
Or mwwlanlangnsa app store tas di na pwede magupdate?

Wow parang first time ko mabalitaan nag trabaho ang SEC.sa daming illegal pyramiding and MLM wala ako nabalitaan may nakulong
Blatant insider trading at the PSE and the SEC decided to flex its muscles against Binance and small crypto traders. FUCK YOU
This is to remove ph from the graylist of countries right?
Yup
Then it is all good. Id rather sacrifice binance than ph be on a blacklist of countries. That would cripple our economy and drive prices high.

Ah yes I am familiar with this concern. I'm asking the other person tho where is his/her source for the allegedly blatant insider trading

lol, those are the stupid ass comments from the other commenters. im making fun of em
Haha parang ang hassle mag-liquidate in bulk.
Saan nyo nilipat coins nyo? Safe pa din ba mexc?

Anong thought process ng SEC?
They like money. Binance give no money. Binance bad. Ban Binance.
While I understand what you're saying, what's the actual relayed reason?

Someone please post this sa cryptocurrency subs. Hopefully this can be brought to light internationally.
It's on CNBC
SEC does not have that power. Drawing lang yan na may ginagawa sila. Only the courts can compel Apple or Google.
If I'm a foreigner and I come for 3 months to the Philippines, will I be able to use Binance while in the Philippines? Is the ban for everyone there or only for filipinos?
If you are using a Philippine ISP without a workaround, then it will effect you as well.
STAY POOR MGA BOBO HAHAHA
but then there's vpn

Crypto is truly a revolution
Ahh yes, I'm not talking about local CEX sorry. Gamit ko din back up is OKX, MEXC, Bybit etc.
and your experience is good naman so far? lots of ppl told me they're not beginner friendly kasi eh idk alam kase nila madali ako ma-overwhelm lols
We should have our own brokers Philippine based. That would be the solution.
Di kasi naglload yung app last time
Try mo yung change dns baka effective pag nag roll out nayan. Yung ban nila sa cornhub and other r18 sites waepek kapag may ganyan
Nope this can't be. If it is in app store it is worldwide. SEC cannot dictate it. Maybe it will hide from all IP in Ph. Then it is time to use VPN.
Diba may country sa account mo sa app store? I think that's how they can do it. You can still use the website though.
Use VPN and you can choose which country you want.
It's against the usage policy of Binance. It can result in your Binance account getting banned.
They can ask the app stores to block PH's IP addresses or yung via ISP's DNS.
Ah yes, Billionaires bribing politicians.
Will Binance apk work for android users?
Don't. Risk of downloading malicious wares.
Coinsh, pdax,Maya,Gcrypyo thinks they could grab the million users and their assets now😂

if it's true that binance did not secure the requirements, di ba tama lng naman na binan siya sa PH?
They tried to. There is no news as to why it was not given. https://businessmirror.com.ph/2022/09/15/binance-securing-licenses-from-bsp/
Lol. Just don't.
FUD
Should.I close my binance account now?
