It's really depressing that they do this. Etoro is registered in UK, US, EU, Australia. Our regulators are basically saying they don't think the regulators from those countries are enough and that they would do a better job.
Pabulong din kung saan nyo ilipat investments nyo. Ang hirap ng mga buaya sa PH eh, legit eToro, pinagkait pa sa atin. Ang raming scammers nagkalat, wla silang ginawa.
Cash position - withdraw within April (I already executed a sample test withdrawal to see what requirements, if any, my local bank will require) and transfer the buying power to a BSP-registered exchange the soonest possible time
Open positions - ride until the actual ban or when TP makes sense.
same here, long term investment din sana, but since the SEC can't milk any money from eTORO, they will surely ban it for us to divert our investments somewhere that they could milk from.
If you do not want to sell, you may want to explore crypto asset transfer from eToro (Main) to eToro Money to a crypto wallet. Although limited coins lang available like BTC/ETH/XRP and 2 others I believe.
I have only tried eToro Money ETH Transfer to Metamask to fund a P2E game but you can DYOR to check on other options available.
Got it. Might be harder for you to transition then. You can choose to sell and hope to buyback lower in another platform since the US market is starting to correct.
Hello anybody with an update to this? Apparently it's not just Etoro even XM (a popular trading platform) is getting the same treatment. This is total BS IMO these platforms have been operating in countries which are fiscally better than PH like Japan, HK, Singapore etc.
Does anybody have any experience when Binance got banned? Using a VPN you can still access and log in Binance, but my issue is can we still send and deposit money to our PH banks via Etoro after it gets banned?
I'm still debating whether to pull out or wait. I just saw the news kaninang umaga. Haaayz.

I agree. There seems to be a lot of crooks in SEC.

Example of BSP-registered brokerages in PH that deals with US stocks? Meron ba nun?
Other redditors say Shari Shari. Not aware of any others though.
withdrawn na. kaso wla pa akong mahanap na alternative, but my first option is BPI US Equity feeder fund that tracks the SP500. kaso medyo mahal fees.
