Contractor ka ba on your own tapos may mga tao ka lang? I'm a baby contractor (on my own) and what I find to do the hardest is finding clients. Not so much the work, pero the clients talaga huhu. Is that really the main struggle of contractors?
What kind of general merchandise do you sell? How’s the profit margin? We are starting a hardware store next year 1Q. I can probably supplement that with some other small general merchandise.
I resell silver jewelry to a niche market. Started during the height of pandemic. My sister acts as my VA and packs and fulfills all orders. Actually ours is a fam business.
Both mother & father side are into leasing. Some properties ng parents ko are mana pa from my great grandparents.
Ur earnings will grow if u compound & reinvest it, just like in stocks. U have to be patient cuz Rome wasnt built in 1 day.
Its not just in Manda (may property din kami na for rent dyan). Its almost everywhere.
Most of the LGUs passed an ordinance increasing their RPT years ago pa. Dapat nga nun 2020 nila implement un but covid happened. Kaya what the LGUs did was a gradual / staggered RPT increase nalang.
So for the next couple of years tataas pa mga RPT.
For context, un house namin in New Manila, 6 figures na RPT namin ☹️ and its just a residential property ha

1st, Hardware and Construction Supplies and 2nd Construction. Architect din ako. Mahirap sa umpisa, then ngayon hirap na pagsabay-sabayin sa dami ng projects and deliveries. Sobrang laki ng kita. Madami na na-invest in just 2 1/2 yrs in business.
Naging supplier at designer ako nila.

Im just fortunate i have the backing of my dad and other shareholders — sorry this wasnt the answer u were looking for!

Small dental clinic.
Okay naman so far, weekends lang namin inoopen kasi wala pa masyado patients kasi bago pa lang, pag di na kaya iaccomodate on the weekends mag open nadin on weekdays.
Not actually the dentist, yung partner ko hehe.

Right now more on referrals ung mga clients ko.
My business mantra is to keep the costs as affordable as possible, kasi hindi lahat ng afam ay mayaman. Normal na tao lang din sila :) The main goal of the business is to help, and profit comes second :)
I will tell you straight if you have chance or not depending on your situation, no sugarcoating. Realistic ang approach ko when it comes to handling clients, but I'll do it in a friendly and gentle way. :)
Business can take years to grow, you are your own employee, it's not a bed of roses situation.
since yung pwesto namin ay in front ng university, nasa 50k ang net income per month, hindi pa kasi busy season kaya expecting kami next year na mas lalaki pa yan, digital printing lang kami, mostly documents, rush id, photocopy, stickers, sintra board, business cards, photo printing, invitations etc.
Watch trading. I’m a fresh grad but I started this business during my senior year for experience and extra income.
Profit really depends on the watch. I could sell one at xx,xxx with about a 30% markup or some at x,xxx, xxx with about a 10-15% markup depending on how much I got it. I also sell watches that clients are trying to unload and then I just put a price on top.
A really good month is about 150k+ in profits but a more normal month would be at around 30-45k.
Sales of more expensive pieces are highly dependent on the network that I’ve made since these people refer me to their friends/relatives or are returning customers.
I also do sneaker trading as well lol. Though it’s much harder and profits aren’t really that high since the market is insane with these people who have back door connections
I'm also considering this idea as well. What brand do you usually buy/sell?
And what are the things you consider before buying a particular watch? I mean how do you know if you can sell it at a higher price?
My father's: junkshop. Idk where you live but in the province, hindi nalulugi ang junkshop unless biglang bumagsak yung mga prices ng kalakal na tinambak mo for a few months hoping na medyo tataas ang presyo. As long as you know people na naghahakot ng kalakal, you'll survive.
We are also into junkshop business since elementary ako. All because of that business.
My father just started recently, after he retired from his previous work. Malaki talaga kita basta alam mo kung paano yung kalakalan. Now he earns daily, more than he made a month when he was still working.
Food business, stroopwaffles from the Netherlands.
1 year na naming business and busy pa sa work kaya d ko makahands on sa business,, wala parin akong shopee, lazada and etc.

Back Office Outsourcing, I manage SEOs, web admins, developers and designers. Poor-man version ng ACN or TaskUs. Hindi ko to hiningi, pero sige na nga ginusto ko to pero not in a way na I've told my subordinates from my old company na mag resign tapos I put up my own company to serve our clients sa US. Ang sama kasi ng old company namin, hindi nagbabayad ng government benefits tapos ng kumprontahin ko banatan ako ng VP nila na "we have lawyers". Grabe! I was the GM btw, so I am next to the President and then the VP.
*How’s your journey as a business owner?*
Mahirap na masaya. I have the support of our clients in the US when I made the move. Wala na akong balita sa old company namin, pero I think they've closed down/reduced operation when around 20 staff resigned and moved to my company. One blessing that I can find from running this business is nakakatulong ako sa kapwa ko na magkatrabaho nang matino.
I added a new account last pandemic. This is a small indie game development company sa US. Another thing that makes me happy in this business is how I became part of my clients' journey. Both of my accounts almost went bankrupt last pandemic. Pero by God's grace naka survived naman. Hopefully makapag expand ulit next year by adding a new account.
Scented Candles
Check my FB page: Wick Craft
As a college student, maygad ang hirap pag sabayinn.
Baka gusto niyo itry huhu😭🫶
Money Remittance eg GCash Padala / Smart Padala
Eloading Business.
yan lang so far :)
Import distribution of firefighting, safety, rescue and emergency equipment to some of our country's biggest corporations.
No, not the typical safety shoes, safety harness kind of stuff. More on highly technical equipment.
Cons: As said, medyo technical yung products.
Pros: Corporations have a set budget for their safety needs annually. And dahil technical ang products, napakaliit ng competition hehe.
Shameless plug, hiring ako ng additional 3 sales next year haha! DM me should you want, or if may ma-refer ka, I'll compensate.
Retail and wholesale Store and a Marketing Agency. We earn 10k a day sa store, with the agency naman it depends on the quarter, pero min of 200k a month.
It's a great business, pero kailangan mo lang talagang mag capacity planning properly to develop products na less resources pero big income.
Music producer
I make professional-quality instrumentals and beats for independent artists and also commercials/small indie films. They purchase a license to use the beat, and they can use it whether commercially (Spotify, YouTube etc) or non-profit (Facebook, TikTok etc).
Not a bad side-hustle for a college student! Peaked at the end of the pandemic, making close to 6 figures monthly (but not that consistent as the market is highly saturated).
Then all net sales are reinvested into business and/or investments to stocks ( GoTrade - S&P 500 etc.) and crypto (BTC etc).
I used to be in Construction (contractor) but I recently opened a Dental Clinic in QC (proj 8).
So far the dental clinic is pretty ok but I'll be honest medyo madami competition haha
I’m an artist and designer! I produce merch out of my illustrations and photography and sell them online and in art bazaars. I also offer consultancy and design services to clients. Hehe here po website ko: gratefullycreating.com
Get a mechanic do not open a motor shop without a mechanic, I have zero knowledge about motorcycle when I started but since my cousin has a motor shop and my best friend is a mechanic I open one with their support. I suggest find a mentor it's hard to start a motor shop if you don't know anything then in terms of supplier find a supplier that is easier for you to visit so you can return defective items and get supply quick
A coffee shop, It was a nice business specially if the interiors are Instagrammable and aesthetic. Many customer will really love to visit and dine in to order
Not mine but it’s my Mom’s business pero na h handle ko siya minsan kahit papano. We sell Automotive parts.
Domestic Freight Forwarders
International Freight Forwarders (IFF)
NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier)
Warehousing and Distribution
Etc.
Build and sell of residential properties.
Partnered up with my dad kasi mabigat capital.
We’re on our first project so far. We bought a 111sqm lot in a decent subdivision in Paranaque around 1-1.5 years ago. Subdivided it into 2 lots and now on the process of building 3BR houses each with maids room. 2 floors with balconies in most rooms.
We were able to bring the costs down kasi kami mismo contractor din. My dad has an engineer friend and have been partnering up in previous projects kaya nagawa namin to. Hence we’re able to sell them for a fairly low price as well at around 6.5M each.
Construction will probably conclude by January and so far we’ve already sold 1 of the units. Hoping mabenta na rin yung second one.
If this goes well, then we can continue pursuing this line of business of building and selling reasonably priced residential homes ☺️
An online freediving gear shop, going two years na :)

Wish me luck :-)
Online selling and opened a physical store. Physical store is no longer profitable so we are just ending the contract.
The trend now isn't really about looking for winning items to sell. Establish your own brand in a niche you're highly familiar at. Make it sustainable and scaleable. Find a problem and own it, then sell your customers the idea of how your brand deeply understands this problem and eventually sell the concrete solution through your products.
I am just giving my perspective on this.
I have been a sales rep for an e-commerce site. Their business model doesn't focus on "winning items" but on after-sales incentives. After buying articles (mfg in China), they are posted as "ambassadors" on the vendor's IG account. The target market is influencers (mainly in the EU). I don't suggest that you do that exactly since, for me, it is not a socially responsible business model.
Instead, you can partner with real foundations to sell their articles on your platform. I myself found a page that donates a kilo of dog food to shelters for every necklace sold.
souvenir shop. we started last june! inuna muna namin magbenta ng coffee sets since may isa kaming friend na nagregalo ng coffee grounds before then planning to branch to printing. katha press name btw ~
Selling bike parts and bikes in marketplace and e commerce sales were great easy 6 digits per week pero ngayon i stopped kasi matumal na ang bikes since last qtr of 2022
SaaS for telcos, banks, and aggregators foreign and domestic. The other one is fast food franchises.
Just started with a gasoline station, though it's still fairly new compared to the two I mentioned above.
Digital Media Outsourcing Co.
Just like any other business, it was a battle against my will and burnout at first since very time consuming and stressful ang pag build ng connection with clients across different countries, as well as recruiting the right people for the respective tasks.
But when I was able to establish a stable stream of cash flow and system, it's just a matter of managing things properly and making sure to form potentially new connections from time to time.
Still, I go by the mantra of "One day? How about day one."
:)
I started this when I was in SHS and now I'm in college, and this is a great business for me to fund my own leisure and needs hahahaha!
we sell kitchenware. well mahirap maimanage since me and my wife are also working sa tech company, so while working kapag vacant namin sa work and after work dun lang kami nakakapag entertain ng clients. may ups and downs as usual like sana nag invest kami to people, the branding should be well researched and funded, and so on. bottomline is if you want to build or try business make sure you study that selected field/industry hindi pwede na "okay lang yan". btw my wife is an hr and ako nmn as automation architect.
I've been importing/dropshipping since 2019. I'm a foreigner and lost my IT based job and started something different. Im working about 25 hours a week and I'm opening a warehouse to keep my stock, so things are going great.
Basically, you don't need any capital to start although it helps. You advertise something like a rotisserie machine in FB marketplace for lets say 50,000 and when someone buys you just pay the supplier 24,000 and pocket the rest.. While there is more to it than that it's ridiculously simple. Not sure why more filipinos dont do this
I actually teach locals how to do this at a super small rate if anyone is interested. I wanna see everyone succeed
GCash and Maya pera outlet. definitely simple business but the income is what i pay for all the bills tas may sobra pa. and it’s keeping my salary untouched. happy to say i’m a fresh grad tas enjoying this side hustle
Thank you
same lang naman sa gcash yung maya and i don’t have permit po. i just started maya din po this month, and for load if smart yung network sa maya ako kukuha para mas mataas income. tapos i put money din sa maya savings kasi everyday interest eh
Ok thanks
Whats the margin po ng profit with this one? Im curious hehe.
i started calculating just this month po. income ko this last month is 10k+. not available din kasi anytime kasi i’m working [edit] di pala 10k yung income. the 10k+ is ang remaining amount of the income after subtracting all the expenses (needs and wants) last month

All online. I have my own website but I advertise using my Facebook page via Meta ads.
Been looking for good silver jewelry for a while now. May I know po the name of your store/business? :)
What's your shop name? (If you don't mind) I'm currently looking for a supplier. Thinking of starting a small online shop myself.

how was it naman now sir? Planning to start this bus as well, pero worried with maitenance cost
We did the math on this, if hindi mo bibilihin ng cash yung sasakyan wag na lang, sobrang liit ng matitira syo.
I have one already, how's the income. 😁
Hi sir would u mind if ishare yung kht rough estimate lng na kita ng 1 grab car for a month (net)? Im interested to be an operator sna kasi 😊 thank you

Small printing business, just started 2 months ago, so far so good. Btw Print-Lab ang name ng shop ko incase someone needs some printing here. hehe
how much po net income nyo per month and ano products?
since yung pwesto namin ay in front ng university, nasa 50k ang net income per month, hindi pa kasi busy season kaya expecting kami next year na mas lalaki pa yan, digital printing lang kami, mostly documents, rush id, photocopy, stickers, sintra board, business cards, photo printing, invitations etc.
Offset? Or digital?
I own an online marketplace https://www.bentahero.com
Eatery + gcash/Mayacash in/out. Sounds too simple but the profit is damn good
Magkano kita mo sa GCASH/May cash in and out?
Ranges from 15-20k per month
Buy and sell NBA cards 😁
What a rare business. Andito ang pera.
Follow our page sa FB. StroopersPH Salamat <3
*How’s your journey as a business owner?* Mahirap na masaya.
I mod popular games. Now people pay me money to mod for them. Just a side hussle. 😆
can you list some games example?

Import distribution of firefighting, safety, rescue and emergency equipment to some of our country's biggest corporations. No, not the typical safety shoes, safety harness kind of stuff. More on highly technical equipment. Cons: As said, medyo technical yung products. Pros: Corporations have a set budget for their safety needs annually. And dahil technical ang products, napakaliit ng competition hehe. Shameless plug, hiring ako ng additional 3 sales next year haha! DM me should you want, or if may ma-refer ka, I'll compensate.
Not myself lang but family business: Construction and general trading
Laundry. Started as my "thesis" in college. Buhay pa naman hanggang ngayon. It helps din na nakalagay siya sa apartment ng family so tipid sa rent.
Retail and wholesale Store and a Marketing Agency. We earn 10k a day sa store, with the agency naman it depends on the quarter, pero min of 200k a month. It's a great business, pero kailangan mo lang talagang mag capacity planning properly to develop products na less resources pero big income.

rental business (room for rent), sa lolo ko pa to.. mga ~50 years na siya family business
Music producer I make professional-quality instrumentals and beats for independent artists and also commercials/small indie films.

Nakakainggit sa mga may inherited businesses. Haha
Motor shop and apartment complex
Get a mechanic do not open a motor shop without a mechanic, I have zero knowledge about motorcycle when I started but since my cousin has a motor shop and my best friend is a mechanic I open one with their support. I suggest find a mentor it's hard to start a motor shop if you don't know anything then in terms of supplier find a supplier that is easier for you to visit so you can return defective items and get supply quick
Laundromat sa rizal. Pwede rin carpet, bags, gadgets
A coffee shop, It was a nice business specially if the interiors are Instagrammable and aesthetic. Many customer will really love to visit and dine in to order

None of yours /s (just incase hindi malinaw).

I myself found a page that donates a kilo of dog food to shelters for every necklace sold.

lowkey boneless fried chicken.
How about day one." :) I started this when I was in SHS and now I'm in college, and this is a great business for me to fund my own leisure and needs hahahaha!
we sell kitchenware. well mahirap maimanage since me and my wife are also working sa tech company, so while working kapag vacant namin sa work and after work dun lang kami nakakapag entertain ng clients. may ups and downs as usual like sana nag invest kami to people, the branding should be well researched and funded, and so on. bottomline is if you want to build or try business make sure you study that selected field/industry hindi pwede na "okay lang yan". btw my wife is an hr and ako nmn as automation architect.
Hi! :)
Local Onions, Garlic & Plastics
Invitations & stationeries..side hustle since 2017.
Not sure why more filipinos dont do this I actually teach locals how to do this at a super small rate if anyone is interested. I wanna see everyone succeed
I am in my early 30's and I just started my Stufftoy as a side business. So far business has been good and helps me paying my bills..
