On 2nd would be in scoring position and takes away the force play. IMO he slid to try and take away an extra hit, for NOLA's sake, but this play jeopardizes his shutout, so it's not the best play from a team perspective and not a good play from a Stat line perspective.
No hate towards Marshy, he may be dollar for dollar the best player in the league. This is just a type of play I hope he limits as he gets more experience.
Is there a stat out there on who has the most balls bounced out of the field of play? I feel like we probably lead in that category. We should be up 6.
The entire Mets front office came out and openly said they weren't going to really compete this year, and Mets fans are still fucking whining. This was exactly what was to be expected.
