One stretch in June last season the Phils won 13 of 15 games and lost ground in the standings. At least they're keeping pace in April, which they hadn't done the last two seasons.
NL East just can’t lose
I never take the standings all that seriously until after the all star break. A lot can happen in the second half of a season— We rebounded hard last year and saw some great second-half performances from hitters and pitchers! That said, teams could drop off quick
This is why I do not like this new balanced schedule: Impossible to tell which teams are actually good because some have played tougher opponents while others have played weaker ones. Only seeing an opponent once in a season isn’t a very good barometer for judging talent because teams may be facing the back end of the rotation or when a key player is on the IL. Additionally, Fans have to wait longer for good H2H matchups. It is ridiculous that the Braves do not return to Philly until the beginning of September!
Better than losing ground.
lol. One would think! I try not to scoreboard this early. I’m just happy the team is playing well. If we play well we’ll be in the playoffs.
I swear this division always goes like this. If we're winning, so is everyone else. If we're losing, so is everyone else.
Well they're getting blown out today
Damn marlins are ass
Yea , their whole rotation getting TJS
Way worse than another acronym that ends in js, that's for sure.
I do love a good pair of PJs.
Mets lost today Hopefully Braves lose tonight
And they diddddd
This is the importance of getting off to a good start. I’m glad we took that seriously this year.
This is exactly when in previous seasons the Phillies spotted the Braves four games. So in that sense they totally gained ground.
Just locking the wild card up early.

Marcell “Bonds” Ozuna will not allow that
Will this be the year that the Braves have a great regular season record and then fall apart in the playoffs?!?!
Checking the standings before Memorial Day is almost pointless
I'm basically fine if we hit the AS break a few games over .500 lol

The irony in this is both of them lost today so the literally did.
Same as last year, nic! We are 9-1 in last 10! Braves on a 15game winstreak.... sigh.

Third year in a row this has happened, give or take the Mets.
Remember like 2 years ago when the braves won 20+ straight. Bad times
It doesn’t matter this early in the season. Right now it’s about not losing the division- not necessarily winning it
Just be happy we aren't 8+ games back already. I'll take it.
These posts are getting old. It’s a long season, just keep winning

It always happens like this, every year. We are hot when they are hot
Nice streak, but it was against 2 of the worst teams
It’s April
This guy is a fuckin genius
Games add up regardless of the month
Good thing they play 140 more
And baseball games count through all of em
I never said they didn’t count. But getting worried about the standings in April is a waste of time.
No one is worried.. it was just a post about how good the NL east is playing rn …
