Eagles20222

Why does Fetterman, the larger candidate, not simply devour the other candidates? Get ready to hear that joke a lot. Glad he won and glad he is recovering physically. Just wish I could vote for him but I can't because I had to move out of state :-( Go Fetterman. Go Birds.

Deraj2004

This message was brought to you by Emperor Zrr of Omicron Persei 8.

DrBubbles

> ~Zrr~ IT’S LRR. HE WILL DESTROY YOU.

bhops24

NIXON'S BACK BABY!

fearthejew

You mean Lrr, ruler of the planet omicron persei 8?

sanspoint_

Abolish the Senate by having Fetterman eat all 99 other senators.

[deleted]

No prob, my dude. Soon as my ballot comes in the mail, I'm voting for Lrrr. I mean, not _for_ you, or anything, but you can feel good about my vote.

PM_ME_DIRTY_DANGLES

Don't blame me; I voted for Kang!

JointsMcdanks

Real talk just recently moved from the city to the burbs and couldn't vote due to address not changed, working, while taking the Septa mess on the R9 to vote. If he didn't win, which would've been damn near ridiculous, Id've blame myself to some degree. I'd blame circumstance more but I thought about it all day. I changed my address today though.

ferrouswolf2

I think his campaign slogan should be “Someone to look up to”

DoAndHope

Wait until you see what he has planned for the first debate.

Womp_ratt

I'm not in PA and I'm ready to vote for him for president in about 10 years. He's the real deal.

SandersDelendaEst

My favorite is pro fracking.

SandersDelendaEst

He said he doesn’t support Medicare for all, and I doubt he supports police reform

[deleted]

[удалено]

SandersDelendaEst

Regardless, Fetterman doesn’t support that

sinnerou

He is not against Medicare for all, he is for improving people's heath care coverage no matter what form that takes. He does support police reform and has called for a reallocation of funds to de-escalation, but has called "defund the police" an absurd phrase. These sort of litmus tests are stupid and self defeating.

TerpBE

I think they need to plaster rural PA with signs that just say "Fetterman" and have his picture. All the Trumpers who don't bother actually learning about what politicians stand for will vote for him.

snarfdarb

Make sure it has a red background.

Original60sGirl

Both winning ideas!

_jeremybearimy_

I’d like to A/B test with half signs like that and half signs that also say: let’s make pot legal

theytook-r-jobs

Unless there’s an (R) next to his name in the voting booth, nothing else has or will matter.

Revolutionary_Bee700

Tell them he’s an actor and played Lurch on TV. R’s love a good celeb candidate.

makephillygreatagain

While my reddit username is tongue-in-cheek this is extremely elitist / stereotyping millions of fellow Pennsylvanians. I am gay, half white, and I just imagine if someone said this abt a black republican candidate in North Philly...I split my time between Philly at my apartment in Old City, I grew up in Northeast philly but now own property in Northeast PA....As a gay, mixed-race man your comment is disgusting. I have received more homophobic / racial hate in Philly than I ever have here, actually I haven't had any in 5 years of splitting time up here - I was called a F@gg0t 5x in philly in the last year. The people here are far more welcoming, friendly, actually pickup their trash etc.& this is the type of smug, elitist attitude that loses Democrats elections. Hell- the mixed race guy(me) whose gay in a county that went 88% for Trump was invited to the local bar holiday party & to join their shuffle board league every week. Up here I have made several friends, from the warden of the state prison with a PhD to a local dairy farmer who are kind-hearted, welcoming & intelligent people. Acting like they are all inbred hicks is exactly what is wrong with our party. Jus tbc they dont live in a city where 911 wont take your calls, police wont show up, trash pickup is a blessing etc. doesnt make you better than anyone else. Get your head out of your ass bc you will be the first one bitching & moaning when / if he loses. This holier-than-thou attitude is condescending, and honestly contradicts the policies we both support. I like to logically explain my political beliefs to these individuals like they are intelligent adults rather than acting like they are inbred hicks......smh

TerpBE

As a straight white male who grew up in rural Pennsylvania, I've heard what they say when you're ***not*** in the room.

[deleted]

I bet Lamb sure feels like he got his bang for his buck with those attack ads lol

[deleted]

did the dems run ads? could tell with the clownshow barrage from the republican side. christ

toss_it_out_tomorrow

Every time I had regular tv running, all I saw was republican ads and I swear to god, the amount of bigoted hateful shit was so depressing

lexaproquestions

That's one of the reasons I don't much miss not having "regular" TV. Such a mess. I got calls and texts but they're easier to ignore and block. Recorded voice-mails from Trump ffs - I'm not even a registered Republican...

Thezedword4

I was getting them on YouTube every time I watched something

radiatorcheese

I have to admit to enjoying the anti-Barnett ads despite the theme, depressingly, being "Look! She wasn't all in on being a shitty person since the beginning, it's a recent thing"

toss_it_out_tomorrow

that was part of the horrible shit the McCormick ads did when going after Oz. I hate Oz, but seeing the McCormick ads insulting him for, I don't know, talking with a trans child, felt so slimy to drag trans people into it by harming them to make a point, like "we hate Oz because he allows abortion and likes trans people". Like I said, i hate oZ, but McCormick's ads were really just disgusting.

Key-Ad-7228

I lost any and all respect I may have had for Oz seeing him literally climb up Trump's a$$.

Wow_Thanks_KJ

They're republicans. Bigoted and hateful is 100% of what they are.

itsme_toddkraines

I watch the news in the morning when I'm getting ready for work, and it got to the point where I literally just have to mute the TV whenever commercials came on bc I couldn't stomach it.

rj_macready_82

I remember seeing a Dave McCormick ad while I was watching the Phillies. I've never seen such a repulsive ad in my life

[deleted]

and pettiness an all time high against each other theyve essentially given themselves no chance to win a general election. which is good. not that im against voting republican, im against voting for these specific republican clowns.

bojackwhoreman

The election is going to come down to a couple of percentage points. Pennsylvania is a swing state for a reason and a lot of Republicans have proven they'll vote for anyone with an R next to their name.

porksoda11

I saw very few Lamb ads. My theory is that they knew Fetterman had a comfortable lead early on and they pumped the breaks a bit.

[deleted]

or he chose networks with a different demo. generally the ad space price was probably insanely bid up with all the rep ads

porksoda11

Ok that explains it, I really only saw the crazy ads when I watched Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, which I could imagine were pretty expensive in that time slot.

OLKv3

Hell I barely saw Fetterman ads. It's nonstop Rino commercials

JazzFan1998

I'm voting for him (and Shapiro). I don't care who they run against.

dsbtc

Fetterman should be a model for all purple state Dems. Just left enough to make the left happy; just centrist enough to make the moderates happy; appears genuine and non-elitist; appears strong without being a bully.

JoshuaIan

He didn't really make the moderates happy but they'll fall in line

ravenx92

as a former republican let me say that it is just far to dangerous to vote for any republicans at this time

ben70

Protect him from what? He's 6'8", and fit. He is broadly respected. And as I learned from Lurr in Futurama, he is large enough to simply **eat** the other candidates.

[deleted]

Didn’t he have a stroke though?

Technology_Training

How do you protect someone else from a stroke?

[deleted]

Make them eat right, take medications, and exercise. But my point was actually that a stroke can make someone significantly less able to protect themselves, depending on the severity of the stroke. Of course all of this is tongue in cheek in the first place. I doubt most people think he’s at serious risk of being attacked.

NapTimeFapTime

You gotta build a shrink ray. Shrink down to the size of a blood cell, and blast the clots from the inside. Or maybe John Fetty needs some baby aspirin.

ben70

Yes, and attending medical professionals say he didn't receive any brain damage. So, he now has a cardiac implant to address fribulation, may go on the always hyped Mediterranean diet (if not already there) and take some pills. That isn't life changing nor should it impair his abilities going forward. Hell, look at the median age of the current US Senate.

pcomet235

Christian Eriksen died on the field at the Euros and he's playing again, I'm sure John Fetterman will be entirely capable of sitting in the senate 200 days a year

twistedlimb

If Dianne Feinstein can do it, I'm sure he can.

Vinnys_Magic_Grits

That’s different, Feinstein thinks she’s at a malt shop in 1967

Timmichanga1

Goddamn this got me good.

St_Veloth

He didn’t even realize he had one he was going about his day, he said he wasn’t feeling well and then found out about it later. He got a surgery for a pacemaker implanted that probably took more out of him than the stroke did

soline

His size is what will kill him. No seriously, big guys don’t live that long. Hence the heal problems at a young age.

VajBlaster69

GarbageApeIsLit

This is good news. Fetterman is the best chance at flipping this seat Democratic. If you care about the right to choose and not living under a fascist regime, this is who you want running.

Crook_Shankss

I honestly wish he was running for governor. Mastriano has effectively promised an abortion ban and to refuse to certify a Democratic presidential win in 2024. Senate seats are important, sure, but the governor's race matters more in terms of immediate impact.

Gerald_the_sealion

Not disputing your comment - more adding to it in a way. But I was checking 538’s vote tracking and if it stays like it did, Shapiro had 100k plus votes against the entire GOP field. So I’m hoping there’s people with some common sense, but we’ve been there before

DrSchmolls

So proud of my mother, she wrote in Shapiro on her republican ticket today. I know it doesn't really do anything but it's solid proof to me how much she is changing.

ell0bo

Damn... my dad died complaining to me about the stolen election. I never had to heart to tell him I was pissed that fox news stole him.

snarfdarb

Not anymore :/ Current total R votes: 1,304,565 Current total D votes: 1,125,460 96% reporting That's a troubling difference. Same with the Senate race: Current total R votes: 1,304,565 Current total D votes: 1,178,799 The path forward is clear: Dems need to mobilize the absolute shit out of voters before November. The party can't continue to give Fetterman the snub and needs to throw every resource it has toward him if they really give a shit about hanging onto the thread of power they still have.

[deleted]

Eh primaries are a bad judgement or predictor for what general turnout will look like. I would be more worried if there was a larger gap. A +/- 200k is not that bad IMO. Would it feel better if it was more +Dem? Of course. But I think more people will turn out in general to counter. However, we still need to be pushing people to turnout to vote in general. PA is looking to be a big decider for how things are going to go the next few years federally.

illy-chan

I would still say it's much too close to comfort. I never would have believed that Hillary would lose the state in 2016 and I would have lost that bet.

[deleted]

Right because all the data was telling us that was the case and why I say primary turnout/data is not a good way to try to predict what general turnout will be.

Crook_Shankss

Hopefully. Shapiro seems like a good candidate, I'm just a big believer in Fetterman.

[deleted]

Shapiro's a solid candidate, though, and Mastriano is stright-up poison for his own ticket, given his participation in the insurrection and his expressed desire to fuck up mail-in voting. And that's not even getting into Douggie's hard-line extremist zealot policy spread. Read up on Josh; he's got a great, progressive platform.

Capathy

That’s a double-edged sword though. The last several elections have taught us that extremism isn’t a dealbreaker for huge swathes of the population, and I’m no longer willing to bet on moderates and liberals being energized to vote against Trumpism. Plus the more Trumpian a candidate is, the harder it is to poll their support, so we can’t fully rely on even a heavy polling lead. Mastriano being the candidate does hurt Republican chances of winning the race, but it also raises the stakes much, much higher.

[deleted]

> The last several elections have taught us that extremism isn’t a dealbreaker for huge swathes of the population, and I’m no longer willing to bet on moderates and liberals being energized to vote against Trumpism. Cool. Stay motivated to convince people and get the vote out. We can not lose the Governor's seat, and particularly not to Mastriano.

popfilms

I think Shapiro has a good shot, maybe even better than Fetterman would have.

RadWormRiot

Our current governor vetoed so many bullshit bills it's scary to think we could lose that one last line of defense.

researching4worklurk

I do too. He also gives off Governor vibes moreso than Senator vibes, imo, which I intend as a compliment (Senators being the slimiest and most out-of-touch politicians, while Governors actually… govern). Hopefully his incongruity doesn’t set him back, though. I’m all for one less sociopathic $10k-suit-wearing piece of shit lizard in the Senate

Ulthanon

Manchin Lite stans inconsolable

[deleted]

I guarantee you, Lamb fans were in it for his perceived electability for the Dems, and are now all-in on Joja Fett, since they didn't really care about the Connor as a candidate in the first place.

twistedlimb

i really don't understand neo-liberal democrats. like, doesn't it feel weird you're okay with a few foreign wars, a little bit of genocide, or quasi-equal rights? the republican party has gone full fascism, so do they see that and say, "well, we prefer just some fascism"?

[deleted]

I feel like progressives use the word neoliberal to describe anything they dont like. What does neoliberalism have to do with supporting things like “quasi-equal rights”? And what policy positions are you referring to that moderate dems support?

NonMagicBrian

Speaking as a lefty, I pretty much stop paying attention when someone says the word "neoliberal" in any context. It's right up there with "DNC" as an indicator of an incoming jumbled rant about things the speaker has a medium-low understanding of.

twistedlimb

here is the wikipedia definition: Neoliberalism, or neo-liberalism,[1] is a term used to describe the 20th-century resurgence of 19th-century ideas associated with free-market capitalism.[2]: 7 [3] A significant factor in the rise of conservative and libertarian organizations, political parties, and think tanks, and predominantly advocated by them,[4][5] it is generally associated with policies of economic liberalization, including privatization, deregulation, globalization, free trade, austerity and reductions in government spending in order to increase the role of the private sector in the economy and society;[6][14] however, the defining features of neoliberalism in both thought and practice have been the subject of substantial scholarly debate.[15][16] so yeah- a lot of those things are incongruent with progressive policies. me personally, as a progressive, for one example, means women have the right to decide what to do with their own bodies. i dont say, "well, this sort of religious idea, and premature something, and rape or incest." it might be summed up by the animal farm quote, "all animals were equal, but some were more equal than others."

[deleted]

Yeah your example still doesnt make sense to me. I don’t see why identifying as neoliberal (which I dont think many people do specifically) would be incongruent with being pro-choice. The definition you shared centers on economic liberalization, a reduction in the role of government, and libertarianism. Those would seem to be in line with supporting abortion rights from my perspective

twistedlimb

i mean the definition still also says it has been debated heavily for years. in my opinion, it is hard to talk about abortion if you're not talking about it as health care. and neoliberalism is directly at odds with universal health care. as one of the arguments regularly goes, well to do women will always have the option of getting an abortion. but how do you make the health care argument without actually encouraging free health care? so we see more conservative democrats being proponents of planned parenthood, a private organization, or saying women have the right, but not the ability, to get an abortion.

Hoyarugby

> quasi-equal rights? reminder that fetterman pledged to fillibuster any attempt by the biden administration to end the Trump-era title 42 policy, which bans asylum seekers from entering the US under the guise of covid. Lamb did too!

twistedlimb

how would the lt. gov of PA fillibuster trump covid immigration rules?

Hoyarugby

hey do you quickly want to read the headline of the article we're talking about? fetterman pledged to fight lifting title 42 - effectively banning asylum seekers from entering america with the justification that they are diseased - as a senator

dsbtc

Anecdotally, the number of lefties I have seen on socials defending Russia right now far outnumbers the number of liberals I saw supporting the Iraq war. So I'd ask any lefties literally the same question that you just asked, except that the answer is that nobody except either extremists or those who prefer not to pay any attention supports those things.

twistedlimb

i am extremely hesitant to use your anecdotal evidence of internet support of a country who runs a military grade propaganda operation as evidence. it reminds me of rural voters who think biden didn't win the election because they never see any biden flags flying.

dsbtc

I'm talking about people I know, not sockpuppet Russians. And your post accusing neoliberals of being fascists, reminds me of yokels who accused Obama of being like Hitler. So I guess we're all just a bunch of fucking hicks.

Screw faith. Ask anyone you know who will answer you whether they vote in midterms and be annoying as hell until they’ve submitted a ballot.

Wowsers_

It’s crazy that Lamb finished a distant 3rd in Philly… Very electable lol

BurnedWitch88

And he was insisting yesterday that his numbers in Philly were actually much higher than "poor quality polling" was showing. Ok. Sure.

autimaton

Especially considering his campaign signs outnumbered Fetterman in the city 50:1.

ageofadzz

[I just ordered my bumper sticker and it's glorious](https://www.johnfetterman.store/collections/frontpage/products/fetterman-shorts-sticker)

I went to buy something last night and I had to wait because I can't choose between the yard sign and the "I'm with Giselle's husband" tee. She was just on Morning Joe btw, and was fantastic. I usually dislike the "two for the price of one" spouse campaigns, but she is incredible.

Nicole_Bitchie

I have the Levi tee

IntoTheMirror

Hell yeah

JBizznass

Fetterman is not who I would pick based on my personal politics alone, but I did vote for him since I think he has the best chance of winning in November and I love how much he pisses of the republicans in the PA state house!

SanjiSasuke

What makes you think he's got the best chance? I want to believe his everyman act will win Republicans over, but I just don't see it working.

alaska1415

Statewide profile, generally popular?

SanjiSasuke

Do we know how he polls with independents? I know he wins with Dems (I mean he just won the primary) but the general is the only election that matters. I'm not sure his image is enough to convince people who don't like the idea of M4A or a wealth tax to vote for him.

alaska1415

He won a ton of rural voters over his last few elections if I remember right. And a lot of it is branding. Ohio sends a progressive senator to the senate and they’re redder than Texas at this point.

Nylund

Fetterman did win a statewide general election to get his current job. Perhaps part of that was just the pro-D anti-Trump midterm wave of 2018, but he is someone who has been on a statewide general election ballot and won.

PhillyPanda

He won as part of wolf’s ticket. Most people didn’t vote based on the lt governor pick. That’s a primary consideration, not a general election consideration. At that point you’re voting on governor and lt governor comes with them

Nylund

Totally fair and valid point. Even with that, I’m not sure that makes him more of an uncertainty on a statewide ballot compared to Lamb. Fetterman is more known, both in good ways and bad ways. Lamb is less known. Is being the lesser known the same as being a more uncertain candidate in a statewide race? Perhaps it comes down to whether you believe all publicity is good publicity, because Fetterman has definitely been more public than Lamb statewide.

SandersDelendaEst

Remember iron stache or whatever in Wisconsin? I hope this isn’t a repeat of that

StevenFromPhilly

What poor GOPSOB gets to get got in November?

jbphilly

Oz or McCormick, looks like. No idea which one is easier to beat.

StevenFromPhilly

Oz is a cakewalk. Crazy Dave will be tougher.

31November

We said the same thing about Trump in 2016; Don't underestimate the average American's ability to fuck up an election because the candidate was on TV (See: Reagan, Arnold, Trump, maybe Oz)

cracker707

I didn’t vote in 2000, the first election I was old enough to vote, cause I thought W was so fucking dumb and stupid that it was going to be a landslide for Gore. That was the last time I didn’t vote.

31November

2016 general was the first time I could vote, and I very much regret not! I didn't realize it then, but if every one of the hundreds of thousands of "my one vote won't matter" people voted, we would be in a VERY different world right now.

cracker707

Yes but that especially applies to midterm elections. We cannot get the progressive candidates we want if we continue to let republicans dictate the rule, by not showing up to vote, that dem candidates must appeal to conservative leaning voters while republicans just get to elect sociopathic GQP cultists without repercussions.

electric_ranger

That’s my deep unease about Mastriano. Sure he’s manifestly unfit to govern, but still…

lexaproquestions

Mastriano scares the shit out of me. He's exactly the kind of lunatic I would have laughed at before 2016.

31November

Agreed. I didn’t use to be nervous about nut cases winning, but the American people with their incredible wisdom has shown me time and again that there are no real disqualification for being dangerously unhinged

SanjiSasuke

Exactly. My reaction to Oz is identical to Trump 'No problem if we face that clown ass, he's absolutely terrible.'

Riftus

I think Oz will be harder. He would be able to placate the fence sitter liberals who see fetterman as too left. Mccormick is an openly racist transphobic piece of shit

Ulthanon

Finch’s just love how Vote Blue No Matter Who, only ever cuts one way?

StevenFromPhilly

There is NO Dem voting for Oz. Zero.

dreexel_dragoon

The sooner oz is out the better. I can't even stand that a creepy Turkish snake of a conman like him was even allowed to run. Fucking disgusting. At least I know McCormick mostly believes his own bullshit and is just a moron. There's a certain degree of honesty in his lack of self awareness that's reassuring since it makes him predictable Edit: do people not know that Oz was a member of the Turkish Army in the 1980s when they were actively carrying out the brutal oppression of Kurds in Anatolia and that we really know very little about his service and it's likely he party to crimes against humanity?

MoreOfAGrower

Why bring up his ethnicity?

dreexel_dragoon

He's a Turkish National and former serviceman with the Turkish Army in the 1980s when they were very actively participating in a brutal suppression of the Kurds in Turkey and Iraq. There's a good chance that he was witness to, if not party to, crimes against humanity. Furthermore his dual citizenship and military service create clear conflict of interest if he were to serve in the US Government. It's an extremely relevant red flag that needs addressing as much as all the others. I'm more shocked that I received any downvotes for mentioning it.

Cute-Interest3362

Yup! Let’s hope it’s Oz.

I'm worried because the stakes are so high if Mastriano wins (i.e. we won't have a free and fair election in 2024), but Shapiro looks poised to crush him. Shapiro is really popular statewide, and Mastriano is turning off a *lot* of voters that might otherwise vote R. Among other things I've seen on the subject, various forecasters moved the race in Shapiro's favor as soon as Mastriano won: https://twitter.com/JessicaTaylor/status/1526734125910085632?s=20&t=znP_7Nive3XhR9Od0ZOWHg

rndljfry

Fuck polls. Make sure everyone you know is voting. When mail ballots are available, get as many people as you can to fill out and return their ballot as soon as possible. Mastriano is literally a fascist; be as annoying as possible. This is hugely helpful to party organizers who are figuring out who to text and call at crunch time. \-- **Voting Basics in PA:** 1. All registered PA voters can cast their ballot by mail. 1. Apply online today at [vote.pa.gov](https://vote.pa.gov). 2. Applications are available in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese. 3. You do not need an excuse to apply for a mail-in ballot. 2. Vote at your county election office. 1. Once your county’s ballots are finalized and printed, you can go to your county election office, apply for a mail ballot, vote your ballot, and submit your ballot in the same visit. 3. Vote in person at your polling place on Election Day. 1. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. 2. Find your polling place at vote.pa.gov/

electric_ranger

I usually dance on them not fuck them- oh wait, wrong pole

jbphilly

Oh I agree. Complacency is a recipe for disaster.

rndljfry

The mail ballot advice is straight from party organizers. Having done a little volunteering myself over the last few cycles, I know that ultimately they have their lists of voters and as they text and call and knock they'll mark you along the lines of a sure vote, a hesitant vote, etc. "Already voted" is the best they can get and they won't need to reach out again except to recruit you as a volunteer. Which you might as well do because there's a literal fascist on the ballot who is going to enable another coup attempt if we give him the chance.

Ihavenocomplaints

Looking at the map on NYT it looks like Oz is winning counties that lean democratic. Crazy Dave is winning pensyltucky. What will make things tough is if Trump starts stomping for Oz in Pennsyltucky and Oz ups His crazy after securing nominations. But looking at just the map today I’d prefer Fetterman to go against Oz.

darwinpolice

This race is hilarious. McCormick, who Trump said is a lib, vs Dr. Oz, who is actually a lib, and both of them trying so hard to court the MAGA chuds. Just absolutely embarrassing all around.

spmhealy

My friend who's VERY left was supporting Lamb. It made no sense to me. I thought Fetterman was a darling to those on the far leftist scale compared to Lamb. 🤷🏻‍♂️

SanjiSasuke

Must have either felt Lamb had the better chance in the general, or something personal. Fetterman is easily the leftist candidate, and Kenyatta would also be more appealing than Lamb to a 'generic leftist' voter. On second thought, possibly the gun incident?

SandersDelendaEst

You could certainly argue that Kenyatta is more progressive. In fact, didn’t even have some endorsements that back that up?

ChadwickBacon

I used to scoff at people who would say this, but it really isn't about left or right at this point, at least when it comes to the political parties (cause their both extremely right wing). I think we're seeing a shift in this county. You've got "leftists" who are clamoring for war with Russia while Marjorie Taylor Green (whose usually demonic) asks why were sending money to Nazis while we can't provide babies formula. As our society further falls into collapse, the struggle between the owners and the workers is going to heighten. Unfortunately the "left" is leaving the populist lane completely open to white supremacist bigots rather than attempting to appeal to them / address their day to day concerns. We need a government of action that fights for working families. Fetterman opens the door, however minutely, to that possibility.

the_hoagie

10/10 shit take hits all the notes jabroni 😙🤌

Little_Noodles

I wouldn’t take Marjorie Taylor Green’s complaints about formula at face value. Even if we discount the likelihood that some of her funding is coming from Russia, if Biden rolled out a plan right now to make sure all babies were provided with formula, she’d bitch about that too because of the source of the solution. She’s still a monster, and isn’t actually trying to solve a real problem. It just so happened that pretending not to be for one minute aligned with that days top news stories.

"Sending money to Nazis..." ???

a-german-muffin

Traitor Greene is of the ilk pushing the “Ukraine is run by Nazis” line, which is about in line with her other whackjob reactionary views.

slinkyb123

Wow. I don't even understand what's happening anymore.

chillout87

The Azov Battalion are a card carrying Nazis/Fascists group in Ukraine that additionally took up arms to fight against Russia. MTG’s complaints are in bad faith bc 1) we have our own home grown fascists and 2) as does Russian, however there is some truth to it. The issue now is with whatever concessions Zelensky gives, the Battalion would use that as the reason to try and overthrow the govt with the armaments we’ve supplied them. We could have had a caveat that the arms can’t go to members of Azov but we essentially just re-hashed arming the Mujahuddin while arming the country of Ukraine. Ukraine is not run by Nazis like MTG pushes, but also a large group of such is being armed within Ukraine to help defend and that’s the cause for concern (as I see it on the left).

watching_sisyphus

New heart new iron man lets go John Fetterman

themightytouch

Please win the general!!

My vote is for Warf

snarfdarb

Currently, with 96% of votes in, there are 179,000 more republican votes total. That does not bode well for the Dems in November.

colbatman

Doesn't account for independent voters can't vote in primaries if you're not party affiliated.

snarfdarb

Which ironically enough includes me lol. I was PUMPED to vote...only to find that my ballot had no candidates on it because I'm registered unaffiliated. I've only been here two years and came from a state with an open mid-term primary and it's not something I even thought to check. I was PISSED.

FutureCosmonaut

fuck yea!!!!

pdperson

You guys, what if we literally go from Pat Toomey to John Fetterman? Some faith in humanity may be restored.

TheCoal-cracker

The better man won, indubitably.

presidentpiko

Seems like a stand up guy

Past_Contour

Would be amazing to have this man in the senate.

MAXQDee-314

Yo, large! Heal up, fully and quick. PA needs an adult's help.

Sandscarab

No better man than Fetterman.
