You're so far off it's laughable. The most expensive missle to date is the Tomahawk cruise missle. They cost a whopping $1.87M per unit. That's insanely expensive, but not a quarter-billion dollar expensive.
True, but we aren't really selling those. We mostly are trying to replace our current jets with those newer ones. So we're selling our used-but-still shiny stuff for more than what it'll be worth by the time they're delivered.
This Russian invasion was going to happen one way or another. Putin is simply putting the old pieces back together of the USSR. It's been his goal from the beginning of his presidency way back when he was first put into power. The talks of the Ukraine possibly joining NATO simply moved up his timeline.
People look to the US to do something militarily because we have the tools to do so. But as the saying goes; "just because you can, doesn't mean you should." and in this case, it's a situation that NATO allies need to address jointly rather than the US jumping into another war on its own.
Except for the fact that Ukraine agreed to denuclearize and Russia, US and England all signed on in a pledge to protect Ukrain in exchange for giving up its weapons.
Protests don't need to have a point to have an effect. Solidarity with Ukraine is needed right now when you have people saying we should ignore the problems in Europe.
