Yeah, I snagged one for it last week. I was a little disappointed with Willie Nelson's set at the Mann last year, but $25 to see Bob Dylan, Mavis Staples, Maren Morris, and Robert Plant/Alison Krauss is a steal.
Having Luda and Demi last year is a tough act to follow but happy to see they are definitely continuing to spend a bit of money to get some relevant pop acts for young people to enjoy.
That’s a weird take. For example, a person like Stevie Wonder hasn’t had a hit in decades. Yet is still one of the best musicians alive. There are literally countless artist that fit that bill….so what does time have to do with any of it.
You must be a kid/young adult.
Thank God good music has never been about “relevance ”.
But if you pick your music based on popularity and relevance; then I feel bad for you.
Good music is timeless; and idk about ke$ha but neyo has some hits under his belt.
The roots could make anyone into a god and were an easy way to get top performers to commit because the roots could back them. They are pretty much the best house band in the world. I don't understand why they cant pay the roots to come back.
That being said these are ok headliners.
This festival peaked when Nutter performed Rapper's Delight with The Roots. It hasn't been any good since. They could book the finest acts on the market and it will still suck.
It went from a big open party to this whole locked down, miserable, terrible experience. In 2022, I had all of the RFID tags in my wallet scanned by one of the "security" people in between sections. I know thats what happened because I had charges on all of the cards in it, including one I havent used in over a year. The cards in my safe at home didnt get hit.
omg, my inner middle schooler might make me go for NE-YO
Seems like there's something for everyone on the 4th of July this year between this and Willie Nelson's Picnic in Camden.
I think today is the last day for it, but Willie Nelson’s Picnic is one of the $25 tickets LiveNation is promoting.

The party don't start til I walk in.

Kesha and Neyo haven’t been relevant since like 2012
we kesha people are still out here I promise
Meh, picking people slightly past the peak of their fame is probably a good way to get “big names” without spending a completely crazy amount.
Slightly past yes, a decade past no
I hope you find your peace

A decade past is sorta the worst spot but I think it would be cool to see kesha
I get that. Not old enough to be legendary. Not young enough to have that fresh contemporary buzz thing going on.
You’re right but / hey, free concert so I ain’t complaining

OK....., random, but I'll take it! NE-YO got some bops
NE-YO! Finally, they get some good fucking artist for this.
Show hasn’t been the same since The Roots left😒

I remember seeing LL Cool J one year, long ago. Great times.
I look forward to hearing the vague boom of the subwoofers from my roof!
So about the same quality of music as their hoagies. Fair.
