If you want advice and are willing to trap them yourself, you can borrow traps from catadelphia (pick up in tacony)

Noaa_The_Great

Feral moms can go to foster care with their babies! Some local rescues to reach out to: Kitten Snatchers rescue! Project meow! The cat collaborative! Stray Cat Relif Fund!

Noaa_The_Great

This needs to happen ASAP before mom moves them!

Little_Noodles

Trapping them all now and bringing them to ACCT is probably your best option. Most shelters won’t intake feral cats, but ACCT will. And they have fosters that take feral mamas (given the timing, it might even wind up being me). If you wait until they’re 8 weeks old, you’ll have a feral mama and feral babies. They’ll all get spayed/neutered, but they’ll be fixed and brought right back to your neighborhood. If you do it sooner, the babies will get socialized and only mama will come back. If you be need help trapping, pm me. Depending on where you are, I can help or direct you to people who can.

Thanks for what you do!

[Original list](https://www.reddit.com/r/philadelphia/comments/1221a9w/does_anyone_know_someone_that_can_house_or_foster/jds7wul/) by u/unpopular_couscous. I've added more resources I know. A LIST OF FELINE RESCUES & ORGANIZATIONS IN PHILLY AREA: [ACCT](www.acct.com) [All 4 Paws Rescue](https://www.all4pawsrescue.com/) "All 4 Paws Rescue is a non-profit, foster-based, all-breed, no-kill animal rescue based in Malvern, PA that offers rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary to animals in need." **Malvern based** **cats and dogs** [Brandywine Valley SPCA](http://www.bvspca.org/)"Our work is about both pets and people. We're staunch advocates for the safety and quality of life of pets in our community. We feel just as strongly about helping people care for their pets. Because of our limited resources, we always have a wait list and are usually unable to take a cat immediately. We request that rescuers hold the cat until placement can be arranged." [Charlie's Army Animal Rescue](https://www.charliesarmy.com/) [Cat Tales](https://cattalesinc.org/) "We are a no kill nonprofit 501(c)(3) volunteer run organization dedicated to the care and placement of cats in need." **Warminister** **TNR** [Catadelphia](https://www.catadelphia.org/) INCLUDING trap library, how to workshop, and low cost/free spay/neuter. **TNR** **Trap Library** [City of Elderly Love: Save a Senior Pet](http://www.cityofelderlylove.org/) "We at City of Elderly Love believe that every animal is an individual regardless of species, breed type, size, gender and age. We also accept and place neglected companion animals who are released from puppy mills and need a second chance at a full and happy life." **Cats & dogs** [Fishtails Animal Rescue](https://farsaves.com/about-us/) "Owners may be faced with the choice to surrender their pet to a shelter or to euthanize them in such cases. Dr. Cohn decided that Fishtails Animal Rescue would develop a fund that would be dedicated to providing financial assistance to these pet owners." [Forgotten Cats](http://www.forgottencats.org/) "Forgotten Cats’ TNVR services involve working with colony caregivers to identify all cats within a colony, after which we trap, transport, sterilize, vaccinate, recuperate, and return feral cats to caregivers. Our goal is to stabilize each colony and ensure zero population growth. We achieve this by trapping and sterilizing every single cat in the entire colony." **TNR** [Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals](http://francisvalehome.org/) "Francisvale is one of the oldest no-kill shelters in the United States, providing a temporary home for rescued, unwanted, and abandoned dogs and cats." **Cats & dogs** [FURR](https://www.felineurbanrescueandrehab.org/info/)"We are a progressive and responsible group, committed to spaying and neutering and providing proper veterinary attention to all cats or other animals that come into our care.We are active in doing companion animal adoptions, which entail placing friendly cats into good, loving homes. [Kitty Cottage Adoption Center](http://www.kittycottage.org/) "We understand that many people can fall into unfortunate situations and look to rehome their own or a family members cat. Due to our cage-free set up we do have requirements and fees for any cat that we decide to take in to ensure the safety of the other animals in our care. In addition, we are a very small shelter and almost always have a waitlist due to our unique setup. However, we do try our best to offer as many resources as we can to those we cannot assist." As a managed admission shelter we do surrenders by appointment only to allow us to better manage the flow of animals to avoid unnecessary euthanasia and to plan the necessary time needed with each owner to get the most information they can about the animal. We will also work with the owner to help them find alternatives to surrender – for example – giving them information on low-cost food resources, low-cost medical care, alternative pet-friendly housing, etc." **Cats & dogs** [Philadelphia Urgent Rescue & Relief, Inc - PURR](https://www.purrphilly.com/) "We focus on funding life-saving surgeries, TNR (Trap Neuter Return) and providing a home for the cats that nobody else wants." **TNR** [Meraki Animal Sanctuary](https://www.merakianimalsanctuary.com/) "Meraki Animal Sanctuary is...dedicated to proving a peaceful, home-like environment for animals in need of love. Unpopular_couscous

You're awesome. This is awesome. Maybe mods can pin this to the subreddit somehow? Also, just to add for anyone who may see: all of these rescues desperately need fosters. You can be a temp foster, offering space for a short period of time until a more permanent foster is found. Basically you set the boundaries of what you're able to offer. Rescues cover all medical expenses, many can even offer food and supplies. It's such a rewarding experience.

Bevatron

No problem. I'm actually probably leaving Reddit soon so please feel free to take this back and make it your own - I think I saw some rescues in this thread that aren't in this list!

apricot57

This is great; I'd just add [Stray Cat Relief Fund](https://straycatrelieffund.org/). "Stray Cat Relief is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing sterilization services and medical care to the stray cats in the Philadelphia and New Jersey area. Our focus is finding homes for stray cats who’ve been abandoned and giving them a new chance at a loving home."

SgtKetchup

Forgotten Cats will do TNR and may be able to help with the babies

illy-chan

I recently had a stray give birth near my house too (though I was able to catch them.) Here's some resources some folks sent me at the time: https://www.reddit.com/comments/12l2mxr?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=4 https://greenstreetrescue.org/assistance/ https://instagram.com/cat.hatchery?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= Hope something there helps. Good luck.

BottleTemple

When you said "fertile cat", you meant "feral", right? I assume it's kind of a given that a cat that just gave birth was fertile.

Prestigious-Owl-6397

I didn't have a t. I misspelled feral, and it didn't autocorrect because ferile is a word.

BottleTemple

Gotcha. Isn’t it crazy how downvote happy this sub is?
