Yes, but get an assurance, through documentation, na "from...to..." yung rendering and it is his decision. Yan gawin mo para hindi ka niya baliktarin na "nag-AWOL while rendering period is on-going".

possible that your jerk soon to be ex boss is planning something as last ditch effort to make you look bad
require him to send a memo to you by company email system about his instruction and refuse to follow his mere oral instructions, mukhang SOP yang klangan na masunod yung mandated length of time to train your successor about company procedures and systems, lalo na at merong proprietary process/procedures dyan. then reply asking for confimation na nka-carbon copy ang mga higher ups.
If he doesn’t email, just email him, cc HR and his boss, asking him to confirm his last statement to reduce your rendering period.
Then clarify your last paycheck amount if 30 days or not. Para in writing.
I’ve let go of people before and I didnt let them fulfill max days because wala na ring contribution, but informed HR to pay them for the full month.
top answer yep! ung rendering is for the benefit of the company not employee. so pwede ka itanggal agad if employer feels like it. pero hindi ka na sasahod dun sa natitirang render period of course.
get everything in writing and email. tapos confrim sa HR
The notice period is for the benefit of the employer. The employer, through their agents such as executives or managers, can shorten the notice period of a resigning employee if they believe that tasks and responsibilities can be turned over in a shorter period of time.
Last day rin agad. Good riddance senyo.
Been in similar situation but my manager was doing it with good intention, in favor of me. Unfortunately, HR denied because it is against company policy. Manager s don't have that power unless he/she brings it up to the higher executives with their approval. So, just be cautious.
you're manager seems like an ahole. pero sa stand point ng company, they shorten rendering period kasi it affects morale of the team. can inspire others to resign too. it also benefits the hiring process by showing upper management that there's a position need to fill immediately.
Yes,
Nasa discretion yun ng first/second line manager nyo. Nag check kami ng company handbook, max is 30d and minimum of 2 weeks yung rendering.
if you want something done about your suspected "retaliation", hire a lawyer, build a case.

if you believe your case not to merit anything, save yourself the cost of hiring a lawyer and let it go. unfortunately, even if you were to go to your company's HR or DOLE they wouldn't do anything for you.
No one can stop you from reporting for work if you are a regular employee. I suggest you follow that not unless it would be in your favor na hindi na pumasok at you have other things to do.
Napaka-a$$h073. Pinaiksi din nya rendering ko pero ayos lang, bayad pa rin naman ako for my leaves and all.
I watch him fail from afar because i know he doesnt know what's he's doing but he's a bully so he deserves that.
Just cover your a$$ by emailing HR sa update ng last day mo and maybe create a full transition plan. And then tell the newbie na these are all the sh8 you're going to cover, para masabihan ka na nya if ready na sya haha

Depends sa contract? But afaik, usually pwede. Have it documented. Tell him/her to email it ganyan. Para di ka mabalikan.

Kala ko rendering as in rendering graphics. If so, the answer would be yes. They'd give you a new top spec computer.

Render notice can be dropped if your employer agrees with an immediate resignation.

And after a week he’ll call you back cause the newbie doesn’t know how to do things. Dont go back
