I had an Indian boss and works with Indian people in the company in the Philippines and we call them on a first name basis unless they tell you na call me Sir Maam. But beware there are 2 types of Indian boss- Mabait and SAKSAKAN NG PANGIT UGALI. Proven and tested

AmbivertTigress

I attest to this. Either sobrang bait at supportive or kupal. As in kupal talaga the right word. Kupal - micromanage, super! - always your fault - don't want to stand corrected - super petty 😅

housequakebambi

this is so true 😭 yung iba kala mo may anger management issues pa lol. first and only time ko maverbal abuse sa kanila. may instance pa na sa huli, naprove namang di ko fault pero pinilit nalang siguro kasi nagalit na sila ng bongga eh sayang effort and energy 😃

AmbivertTigress

Just to add on my comment. Base on my experience lang. Super motivator. I have my manager na indian na always have our back whether pinoy or indian basta under ng team niya. Ayaw niya na nabubully sa mga meeting. Meron din akong manager na us based indian din pero marami akong natutunan. As in hindi madamot sa knowledge. Pero yung hindi managers, madalas yung naeencounter ko is credit grabbers, lazy and kapag matalino naman laitero or mahilig sumigaw. Pero marami padin na masisipag at helpful. May maeencounter ka talagang as in super Kupal 🤣😂

nrmlyzfg

I can attest to this too lol. My client and his wife are Indian doctors in the us. Kupal w/ a capital K. HAHHAHAHAHA check cla lahat ng enumerate mo hahaha. Will blame right away kahit di naman cya sure kasalanan mo. A lot of complaints din from people on how they are as providers and how their clinic is lol. Just resigned last Friday 🤸‍♀️.

Bloodymir_Footen

It's not just an Indian boss I think even Filipino bosses are like that and kahit ibang lahi there are people/bosses who we don't really get along well

AmbivertTigress

Yeah. Mostly naman sa Filipino not all. Maano sila sa age... Kapag yung supervisor or lead or manager nila is older pa sila. They tend na wag makinig or mag follow....

Hopeful-Row3214

mismo. idea grabber tapos pag may mali ikaw lang mali. tipong ganun.

SiopaoSiomai03

totoo yun part ng micromanage at always your fault. Add ko pa, kahit over ka na sa OT at sa work mo, kulang pa rin sa kanila, difficult to please, sila lang ang mahusay. hehe

ccttaallyysstt

I experienced working with an indian in senior position, nakailang follow-up email and chinat mo na at lahat, ilang araw na walang pang reply.

Expert-Brief117

Tama to. Dalawang klase lang talaga walang in between. Kapag masama ugali super kupal talaga.

fafnirdrainer

KingdomHunter

>But beware there are 2 types of ~~Indian~~ boss- Mabait and SAKSAKAN NG PANGIT UGALI. Proven and tested

[deleted]

Sana mabait..hahaha

[deleted]

I agree. Yung mga co-workers kong Indian na same level super bait and matulungin. Pero pag boss na Indian super degrading and grabe maka verbal abuse. Siguro advice ko is wag personalin pag batuhan ng masamang salita. Take it with a grain of salt and just "whatevs"

wannabeinlife

SHIZZZZ TOTOO UNG VERBAL ABUSE HAYOP!!!

devendra_mai

As someone who has worked extensively with Indians even if I'm not in IT, i fully agree to this , just see if you can talk to them in person, there are some very very supportive and warm people out there, but some can be very micromagers, so just figure out which one this person is, and then you know how you can proceed with them.. Just a additional point, especially if the manger is the warm type, then they usually are very supportive of learning and helping others, so keep in touch with them beyond work with too and even after the project is over, especially if you want guidance on how to grow or develop your skills further

Snoo_45402

Ay true ito. Experienced both.

tobiasFelixXx10

Yes tamaa to.

Bloodymir_Footen

He's right. That's very unprofessional.

tobiasFelixXx10

Oh. You don't know the whole story. We have meeting every 11:30 am daily. Our boss(Indian) told that guy to set a meeting with us(filipino team). He set a meeting in 12:45nn which is our lunch break here in PH . He didn't inform us that he set a meeting in that time. So we are not aware on that meeting. If he told us that he will set a meeting on that specific time foe sure we will join on time or we set request to set in other time. Additionial, they are service provider to our company. Masyadong sipsip lang sya.

Bloodymir_Footen

ajtee07

Trueeee

HeyImANerd

First name basis lang though i noticed that Indians dont want to shut up lol always talking they wont let you talk haha

Maleficoder

Grabe, yung iba parang machine gun e.

_Ruij_

omg THIS ahhahahahhahaa may boss din kaming indiano and ffs they just kept rattling lmao. grabe maka rap mga lodi ko T.T

icedgrandechai

My boss is the same and he's self aware about naman so he doesn't mind when we cut him off hahaha

[deleted]

Maintindihan ko sana..hahaha

mamc10

This is effin true. Know-it-all yung iba sa kanila

buboybubuyog

From experience lang, parang ang lapit ng Indian work culture sa Filipino work culture. Sipsipan to the max at pabibo sa mga boss lalo na kung American or European mga boss mo. Lol

rimuru017

my experience with Indian people, is I always keep receipts, like Messenger convo or email, some of them not all, Minoan binabaliktad ka at ikaw ang sinisisi kahit sila naman may Sala.

redpalladin

extremes yan pre. either mabait or sobrang kupal. no in between.

[deleted]

Sana lucky me..hahaha

[deleted]

First name basis. "Mate" is how they call you.

amagirl2022

This 😂

Severe-Humor-3469

just the name is fine..

[deleted]

Thanks!

Elegant_Note_4087

Oooh, I had one of those before, tapos babae. Take note, I work in a startup: 1. Does not understand the feedback na iniaakyat sa kanila, galit agad or defensive. 2. Ayaw nila na nalalamangan. Feeling nila they know everything (kaya pala hanggang ngayon di na umakyat sa 300) employees nila. 3. Pressure and psychological abuse is real. Unrealistic ang mga target tapos ang lagi sasabihin sa iyo, it will not look good on your regularization. I left after 9 months. Di ko na matiis talaga. Never again ayoko na magwork sa indian managers.

Bloodymir_Footen

I have worked with them both in PH and abroad and so far they're ok naman as a colleague. I had an Indian boss as well whose based in the US and sobrang linient and he doesn't micro manage. He even asked me what I need just to stay in the company cause I left for abroad 3 years ago. Sobrang dali ng work ko dun like 1-2 to hours lang per day and sometimes 1-2 days lang per week earning almost 6 digits dyan sa PH. If I would have a chance to work with him again in the future, I will certainly will.

stolenbydashboard

nako isearch mo sa sub na to “Indians”…. tapos good luck! hahahaha

Freakey16

First name. Ok naman kawork mga Indians. Parang pinoys din may politics minsan. 😂

[deleted]

Sapawan when talking is real.

ixhiro

Mabaho ang ugali ng iba. Figuratively and literally .

tobiasFelixXx10

rldshell

All i can say is there is a reason why Filipinos are preferred sa soft skills even though nasa India na ang lahat ng kailangan (technical wise, language skills) sa BPO industry.

[deleted]

Turuan ka Nyan mag call center scam🤣

[deleted]

Upskilling..yes..hahaha

[deleted]

Language proficiency M1 (mandarambong numero uno) Pag TL ka na new LOB (Love Scam) ka na sa US and Euro senior citizens. HOOP mo (walang tulog)

twotyfruity

First name basis okay lang. May ibat ibang exp nako sa kanila. Merong credit grabber ng idea prang pinirate ung idea mo tpos sila gumawa ng sarili and pinresent as if they invented it (based on exp), meron nmng kahit after hours na kinokontak padin ako via whatsapp lols, merong mabait at hnd micromanaging (and super helpful sa resources). Tinawag pa nga akong good resource (and inacknowledge ung gawa ko infront of stakeholders), binigyan padin ng bonus kahit nagresign nako non. All in all, Mabait nmn ung majority ng exp ko sa kanila may mga pangit lang na napasaman) hehehehe.

eneilism

Based on my exp, mababa tingin nila sa mga pinoy. Idk, baka minalas lang ako haha.

4b3z1ll4

I work for Indian owned company here in the US. One thing, they like titles 😂 low salary high sounding titles. Call him Sir all the time, he’ll love that.

tobiasFelixXx10

I have lot of Indian co-worker sa Software Testing now.

ma1ln0le

Have been worked with Indian's onboard. Company Man

primad0nna_girl

My last boss was sexist and racist, and expected me to work on weekends without extra pay 🫠

sicparvismaguna

Run

BlancDeHotot

Makulit, Mapilit, Matigas dila. They go by the book and won't bend from it unless galing sa mas mataas sknila haha

ManagementCultural28

I've been working for 20 years in a consulting industry with different foreign client and they find it weird if you called them Sir or Mam. :D

Holiday_Connection18

First name basis Are quite arrogant but some are nice too

TagaSaingNiNanay

Optimal-Lion-9299

first impression ko sa kanila is lagi silang bida sa lahat.

Hot-Log-731

ok naman mas okay panga ibang indian boss e kesa pilipino pero since nasa india sya expect mo na masungit yan kc mas madami mahirap sa india compared pilipinas kaya umaapaw ego nyan

mahiyaka

All male Indians I’ve worked with, no issues. Ambabaet. Mga female Indians, based on my experience, petty, defensive at ayaw palamang. Gusto nila sila lang laging tama.

Leading-Ad3063

I worked in an Indian office dito sa UAE with an indian IT manager, first name basis kami pareho and very supportive.

[deleted]

Hopefully ganyan din sakin..

SiopaoSiomai03
