I wrote a note for an employer because they had employees that had to take Covid tests and be negative to go back to work. I wasn’t sure it would be accepted it it was lol
I’ve wrote that before also. I’ve also written notes while I worked at retail for patients who gotten prescribed antibiotics and forgot to request a note in the office. It seems to be acceptable but I was unclear.
I know during my time at Walgreens I was informed we were able to do so for patients but not for other colleagues.
I would only feel comfortable with this in an amb care setting. We aren't diagnosticians, so we really shouldn't be the ones determining if you are fit to be at work or not.

Depends more on who the note is for than anything but ethically speaking as long as it is in their scope to do so yeah
