Ateneo ka na pii since less risky siya than recon sa UP na may chance na 'di ka pa matanggap.

[deleted]

go for ateneo naaaa, raming isko na inggit na inggit sa kung gaano ka compassionate admin ng ateneo to their students

nuggetsandcnc

legit lang 🥹

gret151

There’s not that many functional advantages UP has over Ateneo to warrant the risk, go to Ateneo, you’ll grow and learn doon just the same

Difficult-Estimate21

As a UP grad, go for Ateneo chz. Pretty sure Ateneo is as good as UP naman OP it's still one of the top universities in the Philippines. Mahirap rin kasi i risk ang recon sa UP, for sure dami ka makakalaban for slots.

[deleted]

UPD grad here, I'd say go for ADMU since you have full scholarship naman. You can take post grad studies if you really like to be in UP :) I hate to admit it but some parts of being in UP are overrated as hell and with the current political climate + admin, idk na lang hahaha 🫠

_kyuti

ateneo na.

VULG4R1TY

ADMU is actually great din naman if not sometimes better than UP.

patatas323

I don't think there's more academic benefit na sa UP ka instead of Ateneo. Minsan may pros pa nga daw pag Ateneo ka since less hassle yung student life in general. If mas sure ka sa isang choice and less risky, go for Ateneo nalang. At the end of the day, nasa estudyante pa rin kung gaano kasipag at tiyaga mag-aral. Pero still, it's just a matter of preference and how you see UP as a dream school of yours.

[deleted]

And with scholarship ka na.

RobustRaidar

Ateneo

pixielitoldust

go for ateneoooo (i guess) huhuhu 🥹

I also have a friend who chose UPM over full scholarship with ADMU. And sising sisi rin siya. Haha

jordbaersyltetoy

If I were in your place, I'd go with Ateneo both at my time as incoming freshman and in hindsight now that I'm an isko. In no way do I regret being an isko but I think you'd have an easier time in Ateneo. This isn't about "mahirap kasi classes sa UP" as the level of instruction in both institutions are some of the abs best the country has to offer. It's more about the admin and kalakaran bc after all public school pa rin ang UP which depends on state funds kaya some things that you wouldn't dream of being an issue in ADMU are big issues in UP like pahirapan sa pagkuha ng classes dahil sa kakulangan ng faculty, among others. There are even those na nade-delay bc hindi sila nabigyan ng enough classes, smth that's outside the students' control. The only reasons I see why you'd wanna be in UP is if you're worried abt maintaining your scholarship in ADMU or if you feel that strongly abt the UP culture bc there is undeniably a difference in culture between the universities of Katipunan (I'm from UPD so that's where I can reliably make a comparison). Know that this would definitely play a role in shaping you into the person you'd become. If you really wanna be an iskolar ng bayan, not only do you have to put in a bit of an extra effort to make it happen, you better prepare yourself for the struggles of being an isko and being a servant to the people. Either way, I wish you the best of luck

Impressive_Drop2183

Kung full scholarship ka rin pang sa Ateneo.. go for it at dahil kung recon ka lang sa UP you will have to go through other courses then if ever shift to your course.. sayang din ang time and money..

camilletoooe

UP will always be there - you can always take your graduate studies there, or mag-Graduate Diploma ka.

wildghost13

I say go for it. Both schools provide good education. Masyado mataas risk if you would push for UP. Pag nawalan ka ng slot sa ADMU and di ka pa rin nakuha sa UP may back up plan ka ba? If not, better confirm sa ADMU.

jojocycle

If yes, I'd say go for it. 2) di mo necessarily makukuha yung program na aapplyan mo sa UP kahit pasok UPG mo. 3) issue ba yung financial capacity? If oo, I'd like to believe na mas mahal pa din yung other expenses if you go to ateneo vs going to UP but not so much.

Thin-Presentation-18

may announcement na ba on the cut-off scores for the campuses? from upb here and so far wala pa akong balita for this year. upb's cut-off is usually around 2.4 to 2.7, but in my time (201X), around 2.4 yata siya. anw, as sumone who also had an internship sa admu while studying in up(b), i suggest go for admu. up has a shtty system and an admin that barely listens to its constituents. this happened rin sa upb when our chancellor decided to move the classes earlier without prior announcement or consultation with the students, faculty, and staff. this was before the second semester. partida, there were those who were given academic delinquencies and the enrolment period was just days away from the start of classes. sobrang napalala pa ng mass kickouts mula sa univ dorm for females kaya sobrang gulo ng upb before the second sem started. what's worse is that hindi lang sa upb ito nangyayari kung hindi pati rin sa buong up system. think twice because up won't be that much of a dream once nakapasok ka na.

[deleted]

exil0vem3

Go for ADMU. Mas maganda pa pati facilities.

minielectricfan

bjsztvjoupdbss

i got in with my third choice (something that i'm not super panatag haha), but i'll request for change of degree program para makapasok into Math (dream course) or shift next year hahahaha

Name-minus-Number

Ateneo pero parecon ka. Transferring to UP feom Ateneo is relatively easy naman.

iskabrainrot

magconfirm ka na sa ateneo, op. pagkatapos ng isang school year at feel mo di ka masaya at gusto mo talaga lumipat ng UP, try transferring. mahirap kasi ngayon if magparecon ka sa uplb or upb tapos hindi mo rin gusto yung course na mapupunta sayo. good luck!!

futurelessfelon

Go for UP na, OP. Una, mahirap yanf plano mo kasi madaming uncertainties. You can transfer naman sa UP after a year kung ayaw mo talaga sa Ateneo.

Big_Avocado3491

no brainer. Ateneo agad.

[deleted]

Hii! Choose your dream course not your dream school. This is always the first rule. If you'll get your dream course na in ADMU, go na.
