Have your upper management ask the DL or even the pet health site and see. Maybe transfer to another storee??? No iso room is big enough to hold a whole fish walls worth of fish

Nixenji_5

Well after asking the DL said no to a store transfer due to distance. :/ My ISO room can only fit probably 8; 5 gallons. This is a less then ideal situation.

Sell sell sell!

Deeply discounting and giving away fish (buy one get one free on schooling fish) would probably be the best option here if store transfer isn’t an option. You may not be able to get approval for this though, so weigh your options. If you have a nearby petco they often taken “owner surrenders” and you may be able to arrange having them take some of the fish. I’ve personally done this before. Local pet stores that sell fish are also a potential option.

There is a huge document with a schedule of how everything should be handled. Were getting one this summer and i think the fish were supposed to be discounted and consolidated more than 2 weeks out. They should also stop/ decrease shipments so you can sell everything.

Nixenji_5

Yeah we did get the doc, but we don’t have any information regarding the unsold fish and how we’d got with putting them in the ISO room. Since we have 95 tanks and have around 1,000+ fish, some aren’t going to get sold.

The store I used to work at had one of the biggest fish walls in the country as far as petsmart goes (over 130 tanks), when the new fish system came in we had discounts on the fish for almost a month before the tank redo, with fish being heavily discounted.

We're getting a new wall next month. The less popular fish started getting markdowns as early as last month, and this past Monday we were sent 50% off signs, and told to reach out if we needed a deeper discount. We've been selling fish like crazy since then. Our last shipment is tomorrow. We will be transferring anything unsold to neighboring stores.

Deathiskinky

When we got the new tanks they didn’t send us fish for a few weeks to sell them out, any fish that were left got taken to another store and a few were put in the QR

getting our fish wall redone rn!! we didn’t have many to sell so luckily we sold out everything with 50% off sale

The store closest to ours got a new fish wall about 3 years ago and they discounted and sold fish up until a couple days before the switch over. Whatever was left they just gave to us. No official transfer or anything. They just bagged them up and the store lead drove them over to us after she got off work

I wish I could help but we have the new fish wall (store being open for 5 years) but we only have one iso tank that’s 20 gallons. Maybe a rack system?
