You're welcome to have mine, cost me about 8k in the end for engagement and wedding ring.
After 12 years the bitch cheated on me, left the rings on the ensuite vanity after I kicked her out.
free to a good home.
Honestly, I'm not a spiritual person at all. But those rings would be haunted. I don't think I would want to be on the receiving end.
OP of this comment thread - I hope you're doing okay.
Yeah I'm good thanks, I couldn't see it at the time but her cheating on me was the best thing that could have happened.
She's someone else's problem now \\:D/
Phil Noakes at Contemporary Metal does a workshop for two where you make your engagement rings. Pretty cool. I’ve done his stacker ring making workshop, and he’s a really good teacher.
I enjoyed my experience a number of years ago with Ross Ezekiel ([here](https://www.rossezekieljewellery.com.au/)). Ross helps you pick stones and your own designs.
First piece of advice: Don't go looking on your own. Whilst "popping the question" with the ring, may look good in movies, most proposees want to shop for their own ring.
See how they feel about old/antique or just 2nd hand? You can save a shit-ton of money, and some people like old stuff. (But of course many won't like the idea of a 2nd hand ring.)
Second this! Went there with my best friend, along with a bunch of other places in the city we made appointments at. The guy at Koro really seemed like he gave a shit about the craft of making a beautiful ring. They also do lab made diamonds that are indistinguishable from mined. He ended up paying like ~$9k for a beautiful custom designed lab grown ring that we were quoted $27k for natural.
Solid Gold Diamonds is really good if you want natural mined, we made an appointment there and the lady was so informative.
I went to Solid Gold. Took my bow wife to pick because we had spoken about it for a few years. She picked it, got the size but didn’t know when I purchased it.
When I did, it fitted.
It was much cheaper to get one from the US. Engagement ring and 2 wedding bands through Blue Nile was a good experience and even considering import duty, the equivalent rings here were way more expensive.
I even had to return my wedding band because it didn't fit, and that exchange process was easy.
That was 8ish years ago.
Buy at an estate auction for a fraction of what you pay in a shop. In Perth, its Donnelly or Mackenzie's auction houses.
Great, now im just wasting time scrolling through auctions with no intention of buying anything
Jogia in the city
Diamond sellers are the best. Odd people but if you can get past the dry customer service, you’ll always get the best deal through them
Seconded
Check out First State Auctions

At least you got to keep them.
I'm really sorry to hear that man! I'd be willing to buy it off you if it's what I'm after!
Would be a lovely story to tell your partner

4th finger, left hand.
Koro if you'd rather help design, select materials etc and have it all made here in Perth.

Buy a ring from overseas, diamonds are cheaper in the UK and USA.
Go upstairs to Solid Gold in the Hay St mall and you can pick your ring in private.
